Avatar n tn Ive been having severe pain in my right side of my belly since yesterday, when i cough i feel like someone has pulled my insides out! Its soooo bad i cant walk properly, ive been sick, i dont feel like eating, feeling soo faint aswell (19 weeks pregnant) any ideas? Ive been told possible appendicitis but also could be a number of things! Any clue?
Avatar f tn So currently not having major pain just slight discomfort in that area I was thinking could this be from the rough night I had due to drinking or so I go and check it out was kind of worried when I saw that it could be something pretty dangerous left untreated but I was also thinking if it was appendicitis I would probably be feeling alot more pain.
5154898 tn?1374773319 OK, I've been worried sick since about 4 days ago. It all started when i had a muscle spasm beside my belly button (right side), it lasted a whole day. I woke up the next day with a dull pain in the same spot, nothing really painful, just enough to worry me. Now, my lower front (right side), my right side and back on the right side has been aching.
Avatar m tn The pain comes and goes - it is sometimes quite bad, but AFTER eating it seems to be pretty much gone. The pain is NOT intensified by pressing the stomach area. The pain is hard to describe. It feels like cramp/bloated/trapped gas feeling. My stomach often makes rumbly/bubbly noises. My MAJOR concern is appendicitis - as I know how important it is to get the appendix taken out before it bursts.
Avatar n tn I've had a lot of stress and anxiety for 5 years now (I'm a teen) so I'm not that surprised when my intestines are doing weird stuff like roughly shifting my food around, giving me either constipation or diarrhea, waking me up in the morning because I need to go to the bathroom... But this evening I started having pain on the right side of my belly, a little higher than my bone but still pretty low.
Avatar n tn When does the pain happen(after eating, during a certain time of month, all the time, etc)? Are you on any medications or supplements? A numb, pins and needles, type of feeling is typically a sign of poor circulation or a problem with a nerve or nerves. If you have been having issues with numbness, it would be a good idea to see your doctor about it.
Avatar n tn My husband has been having moderate abdominal pain since Sunday night after a BM. He went to the ER where they did a CT scan and bloodwork (WBC, RBC, electrolytes, etc), in which everything was normal. He was discharged home. He was taking prednisone 10mg TID since that Saturday am (now d/c), so the hospital thought maybe the pain was due to the steroids. However, now being Thursday, he's still in pain. He said the pain was a 10 on Monday, and is now a 6.
Avatar f tn Because since then pain gotten worse, no appetite really, with not eating hardly anything still have diarrhea frequently and pass gas since Thursday and don’t feel feverish.
Avatar m tn However, I know that I cannot possibly be this hungry all the time, because my diet is quite normal and I am not eating more or less than I should. The pain is localized to my upper abdomen, just underneath my sternum. Sometimes it is accompanied by mild gas, and often headaches too. It goes away only after I am asleep and is usually not present in the mornings before I eat. I have been keeping a log of my diet for the past two weeks and there does not seem to be any trigger foods.
Avatar m tn dont think its appendicitis though or kidney stones... and if your eating healthy and you feel physically fit then your not sick, its probably just a muscle problem of some sort...
Avatar n tn My concern is he still having low grade fever and lower right quad pain ( increased pain with eating and some activitys) My question is should the appendix be removed due to potential appendicitis in the future due to blockage causing inflam. and infection or can this resolve on it's own. My research shows majority of these stones end up causing appendicitis eventually.
Avatar f tn I have sharp abdominal pain to the right of my abdomen about 3 fingers width. It has been there for months and I mainly feel it upon touch. Lately I've felt bloated. I saw an obgyn and ovaries and uterus have been ruled out. My pcp wants to send me for a CT scan of the abdomen. Is she thinkining hiatal hernia possibly caught early?? I am thin, don't always eat the best, not pregnant (my son is 8) . She says its in the area of the ileocecal valve.
Avatar m tn my 16 year old daughter has been suffering on and off from severe pain under her right rib. A scan has revealed she has a bicornuate uterus could this cause the pain or is it just a coincidence?
Avatar m tn Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away. I am hesitant to spend 5 hours in an ER and then having no pain when I am finally seen. Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course?
Avatar n tn By Saturday I had developed a mild fever and had lost 4lbs from not eating due to the pain in my side. I went into hospital again - and once again, all my bloods were normal and again, an ultrasound was not ordered as I was told I was not an 'emergency case.' Could this be chronic appendicitis? My mum suffered for years with the same reoccurring pain I have described above, and it wasn't until the very last minute, when she was critically ill, that someone listened.
Avatar f tn My sister told me if i had appendicitis, my pain would be getting worse cuz my aPpendix pain has been going for like 2 months now but only once the pain was severe and that was in the morning.
Avatar f tn Don't want to scare you but my sister had appendicitis, the pain started off as random sperts but suddenly got worse as the appendix started to split, she was rushed into hospital and they performed an emergancy opp. Some cases heal themselves, others don't like my sister's. I would ask another doctor; if they send you home again, just watch for ANY changes and monitor your temperature, urine colour and strength of pain over the next 2-3 days.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Avatar f tn my 5 year old daughter has had pain never her belly button and on the right side for a week now she has a fever off and on i took her to the doctor to make sure its not her appendix they said it sounds like it but she not screaming and crying she not sleeping well or eating well not a uti
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.

Avatar f tn For the last five days I have been having pains in my back, kidneys, right side, right side abdominal pain, pain near my belly button, pelvic pain, pain right next to my hip bone, headaches, and nausea. I'm still able to pass gas, and eat, walk and jump without pain, and when my stomach is pushed on there is no pain. I have been to the doctor multiple times for pains like these, I seem to get them each month.
Avatar f tn Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
Avatar m tn How can you identify ovarian cyst pain? What is the usual size of the cyst need to undergo surgery? Describe the difference between appendicitis?
