Appendicitis and leg pain

Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis and leg pain

appendicitis

Avatar f tn I slept like around midnight, and since then I have been waking up a few times with the pain still there. My right leg started hurting but the pain is not that severe, and my right lower back is also in pain. I woke up at 7 a.m this morning and the pain is still there. I do not feel like vomiting or nauseous, and neither have I lost my appetite. I have been with this pain for about 10 hours now, would I happen to be presenting signs of appendicitis?
Avatar n tn It causes pain to go down your leg, and pain between your ovary area and navel. I have never heard of anyone having sciatica pain with colon cancer, I think this was more of a coincidence with the lady you speak of. A blood test would tell your doctor if this is appendicitis. I have seen cases where it lasts quite awhile before becoming really inflammed. With you having back pain and pain down your leg, you may have a herniated disc. I have sciatica and that's what caused mine.
Avatar f tn Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture. Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, kidney stones, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. In your case since the lymph nodes are also swollen, there is a chance that you have either a local infection, vaginitis, cervicitis etc or there is a chance of STD (is that possible?
Avatar m tn The typical presentation begins with periumbilical pain (pain around belly button) followed by anorexia (lack of appeitite) and nausea. The pain then usually localizes to the right lower quadrant as the inflammatory process progresses to involve the parietal peritoneum overlying the appendix. This classic pattern of migratory pain is the most reliable symptom of acute appendicitis.
Avatar f tn Today the pain is still there, stabbing, and I just tried to get up and suddenly i started having a throbbing pain in my right leg, esp around the ankle, and couldn't stand. maybe the leg pain is from being in bed too much? im not sure. I just am so tired of being sick and in pain all of the time. I would appreciate any idea of what might be wrong with me. please help!
Avatar f tn Lower abdominal (slightly above my right leg/below my belly button. Only on my right side.) Pain how to releave it and sleep comfortably.
Avatar f tn I am still experiencing some pain, but now the majority of my pain is in my leg. Close to where it ruptured and down midways on the inside of my leg. Sometimes its sharp. But it makes my whole leg hurt. Is this normal? Is this something that will eventually stop? I have been scared it was a blood clot because of the rupture. It just gets me that 12 days later I am still experiencing any pain from this.

Avatar n tn Ok well im 27 this is my first child and im scared to death and excited all at once... lol however ive been having horrible headaches, my left leg feels weird and numb, and my appetite is all out of wack.. im ten weeks today and my first appointment isn't until May6.. im not sure if this is normal or what to think...
Avatar f tn We followed with additional blood work to rule out colitis, ulcer, crones, etc., and tried some Nexium. 1 week later, her pain moved about 3 inches to the right and down an inch. Looks like appendicitis to me. Dr sent us for another sonogram. Nothing. This past week we were back in the ER as her pain was severe - we tried a different ER. More blood work, and a CT scan. Everything was normal. She is now upstairs crying in pain - she says it's just about a 10 on a scale of 1-10.
Avatar f tn About 11:30, my lower right abdomen started sharp, long lasting pains. Almost like labor. I took two Aleve and no relief. About 2:30 i took two more and was finally able to doze some starting at 3:00. Mow it is 6:00 and I'm still in have pain. My right leg started hurting/be mumbish, m right hip and my right lower back is also in pain. I have not vomited or had diarrhea nor do I have a fever. Do I have appendicitis or is it just gas?
Avatar f tn Yesterday I woke for work and sat on the couch. Noticed mild pain in my lower left side to bend over or take a deep breath, even take a long stride with my right leg. Went to the ER to have it checked out. They did a blood test and a urine test. Nothing unusual they said. Proceeded to do a CT scan, in which they said the results were normal. Nurse followed up by telling me to take miraLAX because I was just backed up.
Avatar n tn I am an otherwise healthy 39-year old male I would say, a bit of a hypochondriac, hence this post …Back in 2004 I had surgery for appendicitis and after my surgery the strangest thing happened….The center-outer part of my left thigh started burning.
Avatar f tn At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right. Recently I had diarrhea for three days straight and then feeling constipated.
Avatar n tn You must consult a neurologist also for a complete examination and investigations like an MRI of the abdomen, pelvic region and leg to know the cause of pain. You may require another surgery if the nerve is entrapped. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar n tn I have been having some right flank pain and thought it was bladder/kidney related. But ultrasound says no. Could this be from a cyst? Even a small one? I had a pelvic exam and my gyno said she didn't feel anything but worried she might have missed something. I have been having pains where I believe my right ovary to be. It goes around my lower back and down my right leg. Also up in my right flank area!! Very worried and confused to what could be causing this!
Avatar n tn It has general symptoms with the fever and nausea and pain..and then goes away without treatment...Does it get worse when she lays flat? Occur at only bedtime or at night? Any sweats with it? dizziness? Bowel movement changes? If it occurs during the day as well, it could be a food allergy with "leaky gut" syndrome...This can cause poor vitamin b absorption and lead to other problems...With appendicitis she would want to lay very still and with a leg drawn up...
Avatar m tn Yes, you should seek medical advice. If you have numbness and pain down the leg, it can be ilichia vein compresion MTS. It can lead to blood clots, and some have already thrombosis without knowing. Ask for an X-ray. Is commonly given as misdiagnosis ishias.
Avatar n tn The reason I am research weight gain and appendix is because my daughter had appendicitis and the same thing happened to her. The reason I feel that the appendix works like a lymph node because I have primary lymphedema in my right leg and there is swelling. A lymph node in my leg might be damaged. I am also trying to research if there is something called abdominal lymphedema and that lymph nodes in the stomach were damaged during the operation.
Avatar m tn 4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar f tn But if i had appendicitis wouldnt the pain get worse. My appendix pain comes and goes and sometimes the pain dsnt come for a week. I dont know if this is important or not but every mrning i feel like throwing up and i get headaches and it has been going on for a while now! Does my feeling of throwing up relate to my pain?? What do i do?
Avatar f tn So, not to scare you, but please get rechecked it could save you a lot of pain and prevent more serious consequence in the future.
Avatar n tn m not vomiting now but the pain is so bad and it even hurts to breathe in or cough or move...is this appendicitis or something serious..?? It didn't start around my naval it started in my sides/flank area and more intesified right side of abdominal area...
Avatar m tn At first my mom and i thought it was food poisoning or stomach flu and decided to treat it at home with prescribed medications, however in the last two days i started feeling a not so intense dull pain in the middle of my ribcage, it then moved further to my stomach, pelvis and even leg and back, my first thought was that it could indicate appendicitis, given how it runs on my dads side of the family, but im not quite sure, the pain is not as severe as it should be, i can walk, cough and eat ju
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar f tn Before i went to bed last night i had a real bad pain in the centre of my stomach i didn't think much of it but when i woke up this morning the pain had moved lower and to the right of my stomach, i haven't been able to (or even wanted to) eat and the pain is making me be sick. one of my flat mate took my temperature and said it was 38.0°C (100.4°F), which she said was a little high. any clues whats wrong and what i should do about it?
Avatar f tn I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere. If anyone can it would be appreciated.
