Avatar f tn There are a lot more tips for anxiety management and reduction without meds, but exploring the above would be a good start.
Avatar n tn Any suggestions or tips or ideas welcome. How many of us are there? Has anyone been able to live a normal life without pain after this surgery? Is this really a cure?
Avatar n tn I am on week 13 (half-way through) and will never forget the anxiety I had about starting! I read everything I could get my hands on and was prepared for the worst. Going through the "ritual" of preparing the treatment will feel a little strange (you will remember other rituals). That Saturday morning I recall opening my eyes and just laying there, taking stock.

Avatar f tn I am FTM and I know each birth is different but I am extremely nervous and anxious about my labour and birth experience..Any tips on how to relax and what should i definitely expect? I will be having an all natural birth with no medical pain management systems and I am about 30 weeks in... I am really freaking out and want to have a great birth experience. Not so sure if my pain threshold will let me..

2190999 tn?1504992491 I have also purged my bills by just throwing a stack of them away :) I realized like you did that just calling them is so beneficial. A lot of times a phone call can be enough to relieve your mind and they also respond well to little payments especially credit cards and hospital bills. I started off paying a little on all the bills paying more attention to the smallest ones so that I could scratch them off.
Avatar f tn time is a start with stress management. If you have a lot of test anxiety, you can ask for some support at school, ask to speak to an advisor, or counselor for some tips. You don't indicate whether you're in HS or college, but both settings would offer resources for someone with severe test anxiety. Never hesitate to ask for some extra help, or special considerations.
1688502 tn?1305699762 I'm not a fan at all of eastern medicine, but I do believe that you need to find the treatment that best works for you, and treatment with medication is often a band-aid approach that only fixes the problem if it's of a chemical nature- otherwise, it's just a management tool.
Avatar n tn Although it may be true, I am having a tough tough time believing that all these chronic physical symptoms are as a result of anxiety alone. If I am treated for anxiety, I am wondering if they will improve or if the physical symptoms will linger and if so for how long? Would love to here some experiences on this from the forum.
Avatar f tn Anyone out there take ultram/tramadol? This drug has turned me into a tramadol prisoner. I am having a hard time stopping and I know I need to . I have taken this for a long time. First, I was prescribed this med and then I found other ways to get it. Knowbody knows I take it as much as I do. Anyone....have some advice?
Avatar n tn Does anyone else have head issues and have been told that it is anxiety? I am about tired of this constant head pressure/pain that I keep getting. Its very weird. I will wake up in the morning and feel ok, then about 1/2 hour later this pressure/pain will start on the left side of my head near the top. It will seem to intensify and then lessen itself throughout the day with no real rhyme or reason to when it is worse or better.
Avatar f tn Hopefully I can look into some therapy soon. Do you have any tips for dealing with the anxiety, say when you are in that moment? I feel like that is something I really struggle with!
Avatar m tn I WILL say, briefly, that you don't have an HIV concern, and didn't have a risk. We'll be more than happy to discuss anxiety management with you. What have you done to address the anxiety thus far?
3060903 tn?1398568723 Melinda Smith, M.A., Lawrence Robinson, Greg Boose, and Robert Segal, M.A. Last updated: January 2013. How you feel during your waking hours hinges greatly on how well you sleep. Similarly, the cure for sleep difficulties can often be found in your daily routine. Your sleep schedule, bedtime habits, and day–to–day lifestyle choices can make an enormous difference to the quality of your nightly rest.
Avatar f tn I have recently come out of College and have no friends due to my anger and paranoia from the past. This also has helped to develop an amount of anxiety and emotional coldness towards others and my family. I really would like to open up again to others, but I am deeply afraid because of my past hurts. Can you offer any support or tips I can use to make my situation into something positive?
Avatar n tn This spring and last (at the same exact time, when oak pollen was strong) I got the constant burping and anxiety. For me, taking some Tussin product helped somewhat. Anxiety and allergies seem to go hand-in-hand for me and can produce some weird symptoms. Sometimes it helps just to know that's all it is. Hang in there!
Avatar f tn Someone with an anxiety disorder often has chronic anxiety (example, panic disorder, social anxiety) in the absence of an identifiable trigger/reason. Of course the symptoms and suffering that anxiety brings along is still the same, but I think there are a few approaches that you may benefit from that wouldn't be applicable to the person with an anxiety disorder without a primary "cause". Therapy is a biggie that I think you would truly benefit from.

Avatar f tn During that month I suddenly started to have panic attacks and developed a bad social anxiety and OCD type thoughts. My physical anxiety symptoms were tingling in my arms, nausea, shortness of breath and feeling like I was going to faint. I lost my appetite, and I've now lost 6kg of body weight in under a month. I finally got the courage to go to the doctor, but she only said to increase my SSRI medication dosage. I did that, but the anxiety almost became worse. The doctor won't do any tests.
Avatar n tn Feel like a pin cushion from all the blood work - again all within normal ranges. My psychologist insists anxiety is the culprit. Though I have been under a fair amount of stress with work and family, can these pains linger around for this long just from anxiety? They come and go throughout the day and are very disruptive to my thinking of 'what's going on with me? - which I'm guessing only breeds more anxiety. The only other med I'm on is Lipitor for cholestorol.
Avatar m tn This isn't really a question, it's more or less a walkthrough of what I am going through with anxiety problems and alcoholism in hopes that it might help someone out there. Had I read online about how common anxiety attacks after a night of drinking are, maybe I could have started my road to recovery sooner, and maybe some of you can.
Avatar n tn You could report to a doctor, who would screen you for anxiety and/or depression (often using a questionnaire, the value in that approach is in follow-up results to see if you're changing, for the better or worse). I've many anxiety management tips in my profile's Journal if you're keen on self-help methods.
