Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar m tn Hi, For the past 12 days I have had what seems to be a virus. I went to the doctor Tuesday as I was suffering with: mild headache Coughing up green mucas Stuffy nose Both ears are blocked and cannot hear Chest pain Upper back pain from coughing...that's what I thought. She told me it was a virus and didn't give me anything. She checked my chest and said it was clear and looked in my ears and said there was no redness swelling etc.
Avatar n tn What kind were you taking?
Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to hives which can be due to allergic reaction. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).
Avatar m tn I am just planning to test again at 6 weeks just to follow the UK guidlines on this type of test. Last query and pleasefeel free to end the thread. Would you advise the same even in a high risk situation? Can i resume unprotected sex with my wife?
Avatar f tn Any mummies on here from the UK? im a FTM and just had my 20 week scan..
Avatar f tn Is any one from the UK?
Avatar f tn I was just wondering if any one is from the UK on this app?
2040835 tn?1329869995 This would normally bother me for up to 5 days an then would clear. I moved from Europe (UK) to Australia where I was hoping all my skin conditions would disappear forever, well at least my dermatologist back home was a strong believer of that. I've been in Oz, living by the beach for almost 3 months and been having bad eczema and even worse allergies...I thought it might be sun allergies as it gets worse a few hours after sun exposure...
Avatar m tn I would also recommend a different antihistamine. Claritin is not very effective. My allergist calls it a water pill. Zyrtec is much more effective. I hope those ideas are helpful. I know how painful it can be. I took a flight over a year ago and had severe pain during landing. My ENT thinks it caused some kind of damage that he can't pin point as my ears still ring constantly. Tubes have helped with the pain I was experiencing 6 months after the flight.
612551 tn?1450022175 I had prior to the vet visit above been given Wilson one half Benedryl 25 mg Antihistamine morning and evening, in the hope it would clear up the paw problem. A couple weeks of this did not produce any improvement. I then checked and saw recommendations to use 1 - 2 mg per pound. As Wilson is j20+ pounds my does level was low. I have decided to continue giving him Benadryl but now one 25 mg capsule morning and night. Hope it keeps his paws and general itch problems under control.
Avatar f tn Here's one for the books. My daughter has had a allergic reaction to an oral antihistamine she took for what appeared to be hives just below the right side of her derriere. This little bout of hives were taking their time going away and so she thought by taking the antihistamine it would help the process.
Avatar f tn Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
Avatar n tn Veramystâ„¢ (fluticasone furoate) is a nasal inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and, strictly speaking, not an antihistamine. As an anti-inflammatory medicine, however, has the potential to reduce histamine mediated inflammation, in a non-specific fashion. That it is not an antihistamine is evident by the very many studies of combination therapy, the combination of fluticasone with an histamine 2 (H2) blocker non-sedating antihistamine.
Avatar f tn I would recommend the creme and moisturizer E45, although it is available in UK, I don't know about other places - probably should have some way to get it in internet or something. If that doesn't help - organic, cold pressed oils (avocado, almond, your prefference really). Black cumin oil has 1000 of healing powers, but it's on the more expensive side. Hope some of this helps. Good luck and hang on!!!!!
Avatar f tn Do not mix antihistamines though such as an oral antihistamine and spray. Ocean Spray does not have an antihistamine and will simply dry you out and is safe to use with an antihistamine.
Avatar n tn com will take you to all of the available antihistamine info. That same site also says that these antihistamine sleep aids are not for people with glaucoma or kidney disease.
