Avatar f tn I have read that wellbutrin is safe to take during pregnancy and can cause weight loss (I am talking weight loss before pregnancy), so if it works as an antihistamine as well, it might be perfect for me. Thoughts??

Avatar f tn The rash is recurring again in the same area and pattern for the fourth time now. It is again following a low carb diet and rapid weight loss, as it happened every other time! I'm convinced it has something to do with reintroducing sugar after refraining from it for large periods of time. Candidiasis? I know it is not common for standard MD's to jump to this diagnosis, but it seems to correlate to my low- carb dieting.

Avatar f tn Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.

Avatar f tn Easier said than done, I know, but stress is terrible for weight loss. I too have PCOS and understand your struggle. Because of the PCOS you should adopt a diet free of white carbs and lower your intake of sugar. I understand your financial situation, too. I recently had to get an EBT card to pay for food. Since you go to college do you have access to athletic areas like the track? Our local outdoor high school track is open to the public.

Avatar f tn Thanks for your comment! I have scrutinized every weight loss quick fix out there as part of my research for The Flex Diet - and I don't believe eating honey is a great solution. Jaquta makes some great points about small changes in diet, activity, and lifestyle. Think about it in the longer term. Take care!
Avatar f tn What I can, most respectfully, share with you is that weight loss is attainable but there is not shot that is going to fix it for us. If there were, everyone would have taken it and obesity would not be so prevalent in our society. Portion control, counting calories/points/carbs, journaling your food intake and implementing moderate exercise works; I am a testament to that. Avatar n tn Theoretically, there are a lot of natural remedies for weight loss, though I have my doubts as to effectiveness. The only true weight loss program is to eat what you digest well (which is beyond the mere cutting of calories), don't eat what you don't, and exercise more. However, there are categories of weight loss aids: Heat: hot herbs increase metabolism some, and also help everything move through thre system more efficiently. Some, like cinnamon, also help with blood sugar.
Avatar m tn Hi may name is Hamza and my problem is that i am having itchy anus.
Avatar f tn I take 10 mg of Celexa and Vistaril for sleep. I think if I upped my dose of Celexa to 20 mg then it would probably work for the anxiety, but I'm trying to lose much needed weight. (I've lost 20 and have about 15 to go). I would obviously rather be happy and fat but I've been trying to lose this weight for about 7 years so I don't want to up my dose just yet. I've been using rescue remedy spray and calms and they help a little.
1485372 tn?1359545131 we went to the ER and a family doc. and then the specialist and then the VA ENT He got steroids from each one. Nothing worked. He has dizziness every day.
Avatar m tn Both of these symptoms started happening at just around the same time, when I was 15. The first symptom is an itching related one. When it first started happening, I started getting incredibly itchy on my fingers/hands, feet, legs, and head. It was unbearable and so I went to the doctor to be diagnosed with "The Fifth Disease". I was told I should just take antihistamine pills and it would stop. The itching did stop, but a few days later, it came back.
Avatar f tn The optipranolol has nothing to do with the floaters so let's put that aside. The "swelling" could be due to allergies in which case the optipranolol might help possibly and you can take that drop as long as you need to under the supervision of your doctor since it approved for allergic conjunctivitis. The "swelling" could also be related to other things like fluid retention in the body or natural weight gain and puffiness due to age and genetics.
