1635132 tn?1305063930 Hi, Dramamine or dimenhydrinate is usually indicated for nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. This antihistamine also treat other motion and balance problems or inner ear problems. If your headache is associated with allergies, this medicine may greatly help stop histamine release. Talk to your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and best regards.
Avatar f tn It is also the active ingredient in alot of motion sickness meds. i think Bonine is one of them but not sure cause I just got the generic one that said motion sickness pills. You have to make sure that the active ingredient is meclazine though and not another antihistimine because the others arent as good at treating the nausea. Anyway, this stuff has helped me SO MUCH!!!

Avatar f tn Can motion sickness be associated with morning sickness, or is it just from my stomach being more sensitive?
Avatar n tn yeah it's like dramamine. It's to treat motion sickness, naseau, that kinda thing. I'm feeling a lot of anxiety and I'm not sure if I should go see a doctor or not.
Avatar n tn I just recently took a long plane trip(6 hours time difference) and since returning I have had debilitating motion sickness plus horrible anxiety. I am on day 6 of this. Could this be hormones? I am 51 years old and haven't had a period in 7 months. I don't know what to do. I can not function because I am quite dizzy and feel sick to my stomach. I am considering making an appt with a neurologist. Help!

Avatar f tn my daughter gave me a cold and my ears blocked up too. now 4 weeks later, my left ear (which was the worst one during the cold) is still blocked. Doc says my ears look fine and I have eustachian tube disorder. from reading posts on this forum it doesn't look promising. I'm pretty sure the otologist will prescribe a nasal spray but if he has some really enlightening advice I will let you know. The only thing that works a little bit is dramamine.
Avatar f tn not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
Avatar f tn I have always had very bad motion sickness and a lot of times this is what my headaches feel like, even though I havent done anything that would usually bring on my motion sickness. I am also very tired no matter how much sleep I get. I can get a full eight hours and still be extremely tired and sometimes even have to take naps during the day on my days off. My family members thought maybe it was my vision but I have tried wearing my glasses but still feel the same way.

Avatar n tn Ginger ale, milk, and peppermints are good for tummy indigestion. You can take motion sickness pills from the drugstore, too. I have a relative who always gets sick on the plane, so she takes those pills, meclazine is in it, I think. Sit next to a window if you can, if it's clear out, you can focus your gaze on the horizon and it'll help a little.
Avatar f tn I know this is not really a substance abuse question but cannot really find anywhere else to post this. So I was talking to my bf today about being sick, because I have been out of "gravol" or motion sickness pills for a couple of days. he was pretty shocked to hear that I have been taking between 4 and 10 everyday for that past 3-4 years. I explained that if I don't take them I feel sick and actually vomit (as I had been all morning today).
Avatar n tn Your motion sickness may be caused by many physical things including a middle ear disturbance. Your motion sickness also might be caused emotionally by anxiety. If you think it is the latter you should figure out what you are anxious about and work on that.
Avatar f tn The main use is as an Antihistamine. It can also be used for motion sickness as well as other causes of nausea/vomiting and pain management. It's a Category C drug to use while pregnant, meaning that no adequate studies have been done on humans. I myself was on Phenergan for 7 months of my pregnancy, 2-4 times a day at 25 mg. I had extreme nausea/vomiting that was uncontrolled without it. My baby girl is 110% healthy with no adverse effects.
Avatar n tn Sometimes it's not just motion sickness, it's a combination of nerves and excitement over being in the car combined with a touch of motion sickness. First of all, I would put a t-shirt on him. This will keep him from drooling and spitting all over himself in the car. Put down an old blanket or a large towel on the seat to keep him from soaking the seat with drool. Then start taking him for rides.
