Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is an antihistamine and is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, itching and other allergies. So, as mentioned above it dries out the secretions and hence is not recommended in lung disorders.

Do not mix antihistamines though such as an oral antihistamine and spray. Ocean Spray does not have an antihistamine and will simply dry you out and is safe to use with an antihistamine.
I have a HUGE excess of what i believe is creamy cervical mucus. I believe it is cervical mucus due to the consistensy and colour. When i got to the toilet to do a poo about 1 dessertspoon FULL will actually drip out and SINK to the bottom of the toilet.It is like this almost all month, except when i have my period.
It is white, odourless, but EXCESSIVE.
But if allergy you should be somewhat less or no mucus while on antihistamine. Sounds pretty common and there are lots of things to treat it if this mucus production is from one of these.
If none of this works you can try a product called NasalCrom sold most places. It is a non-steroid drug that stops a mucus cell from reacting to an irritant fume or allergy. It only works where it makes contact with. So you need to spray it up the nose and breath in to get it up there.
I have moderate COPD and am doing well on Duoneb (an nebulizing combination that contains albuterol) and an antihistamine. As for anything else I depend on natural supplements - vitamin B5, mullein extract, and MSM. I breathe more easily now than I have in two years. (Also Advair resulted in adrenal fatigue which I am now recovering from.
I understand what signs and symptoms to look for, I check my cervical mucus daily, and I take my basal body temperature at the same time every morning. According to what I've read, it is normal for a woman to go through a "dry" spell just after her period. As she gets closer to ovulation, her mucus should become "egg-white" in consistency. I also understand that all women are different and will therefore experience their cycles differently.
Mucinex just thins the mucus...an antihistamine will help prevent the mucus from being produced in the first place. Try another antihistamine...they each work differently and another one might work better for you.
Thank you so much I did get it last time I was pregnant and my bbs were really really tender and swollen the last time June/2008 and they never went down after my m/c :) I will wait and see I will test on saturday making it a Cupid Day adn maybe he brought me a baset of love. What should my cervical mucus look like in the first weeks of pregnancy? My husband and I are ttc and I ovulated on June 29,30th and July 1st. I'm 8 dpo and I have swollen and sore breasts and I've been peeing much more frequently the past 2 days. My cervical mucus is a whiteish color and the consistency is creamy/stringy.
I've never been pregnant before so not sure what to look for.
