Angiogram neck pain

Common Questions and Answers about Angiogram neck pain

angiogram

Avatar m tn I am not going to comment on your "abnormal ECG", but I doubt that your neck pain is heart related. Why? Because I have exactly the same problem. During an MRI they noticed a slight protrusion of the C4. Not enough to warrant surgery, but enough to cause problems such as you describe. When you consider that you walk with your legs and not your neck, it's hard to believe, but that's what it is.
Avatar m tn I had a stent put in back in 2007, since then I have been having shortness of breath, pain in my chest that runs up in my neck to my jaw and down my left arm. This has been going on for several years. Within the last 2 years I have been diagnosed with diastolic heart failure, asthma, and copd. I can't do anything that causes stress or exertion without experiencing all these symptoms. PLEASE HELP.
Avatar f tn Hi, 24yo female! About 4 weeks ago i was admitted to hospital with severe headache & papilledema! After CT & MRI came back fine i was told i have benign intracranial hypertension, was sent home with DIAMOX tabs which seemed to ease the headaches a little!
Avatar f tn I have had chest pains, pain in both arms, legs, hands, abdomen, neck, back, headaches sometimes and about everywhere else you can imagine. I have had a very extensive cardiac workup. Everything but a angiogram and tilt table test and holter.
Avatar m tn Has anyone had an angiogram with the catheter inserted in arm or neck instead of the groin? I don't think I could take the groin without serious nerve spasms.
Avatar n tn 2nd time in 4 months that I have had pretty stron pain in my neck, right side. Dr said it was my cartid artery and gave me an injection directly in my neck (artery). Now pain is back. What is this and could it be a sign of a serious problem? I dont want another shot in the neck-i'm scared.
Avatar n tn For 6 mos, no chest, jaw, neck pain. Then again. Now I had a stress test positive for sepum and apex of heart. I had angiogram. It showed 4 of 5 bypasses were in tact and other had gotten some collateral circultaion. 2nd cardiologist want to get the films themselves and states the pictures themseves. the report on the one gone bad is very vague. I thought was was only one way to read an angiogram to determine if a stent is needed. I get chest pain 10-20 times a day. with 3-10 nitro on average.
Avatar n tn I am facing chest pain with shoulder and jaw pain and some times neck pain when walking.I consulted the doctor and he has taken all the tests related to heart(ECG,Thread Mill test,Ultra sound,ct-angiogram,chest Ap x-ray) luckily all are normal and negative. But still I am getting pain when I am walking and even some times when I am at rest.Doctors are saying due to acidity also you will get these type of pains and he suggested me just ignore the pain.
Avatar f tn This can occur spontaneously in people with certain conditions that affect the blood vessels, after neck trauma, or after chiropractic manipulation of the neck. The pain is often but not always associated with some sort of neurologic deficit as a dissection can often lead to a stroke. A dissection is diagnosed with a specific type of MRI test (MRA with fat saturation) or an CT angiogram. I highly suggest you have vessel imaging performed to rule out dissection.
Avatar m tn That usually is chest pain, and sometimes radiating pain to the neck shoulders, and back. Throat discomfort is usually a burning sensation and sometimes mistaken for GERD (digestive disorder). Angina related to the throat is an acute inflammation of the mucous membranes found in the throat, which can infect the tonsils with streptococci. This is most often diagnosed in young individuals. Angina can be treated with antibiotics and penicillin.
Avatar m tn WAS DOING OK, BUT LATELY HAVE DIFFICULTY ON EXERTION. DULL ACHE FEELING STARS IN BACK, DOWN BOTH ARMS, TOP OF CHEST AND ACHE IN NECK/JAW AFTER CONTINUING TO WALK. i KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE ANGINA, BUT HAD A ANGIO A YEAR AGO AND WAS OK REGARDING BLOCKAGES VALVES ETC. AT THE TIME MY EF WAS BAD 15%, BUT WITH THE BP UNDER CONTROL IT CAME BACK TO 40%. FOR SOME MONTHS AFTER THIS MY EXERCISE WALKING TOLERANCE WAS OK. NOW I HAVE THE SYMPTOMS ABOVE AFTER WALKING HALF A KM .
Avatar m tn Hey All, I have had a quad bypass 6mths ago,as most know recovery is slow and i do not help it by trying to speed things up.After 4 mths i had chest pain and abdominal bloating and pain, hard to swallow and breathe, could not get a deep breathe(yawn if i could).Have had more tests than i like and guesses.Pain was so bad i went to ER and was given antibiotics for diverticulitus for a week to see if it helped. No change.
Avatar n tn precipitation of head pain by neck movement or awkward neck positions, head pain when external pressure is applied to the neck or occipital region, restricted range of motion of the neck, and neck, shoulder and arm pain. Treatment for cervicogenic headache includes physical therapy, medications, behavioral therapy, and other modalities. Occipital neuralgia is caused by irritation or injury to two nerves that run from the upper neck to the back of the head.
Avatar f tn I am in physical therapy for muscle tension headaches and neck pain. I am wondering if neck issues such as a pinched nerve in the neck could be the cause of this. I feel a raw sensation in my chest and throat after exercise also.
Avatar m tn If I don’t stop when the pain begins, the pain will spread from my chest to my neck and down my left arm. Slowing down or stopping makes the pain subside. Classic stable angina, right? Wait there’s more. There is no shortness of breath, palpitations, crushing chest feeling, cold sweats, dizziness, or other general signs of heart attack. I’ve been to several cardiologists for multiple tests. EKG, stress test, nuclear stress test, Holter EKG are all normal. CT angiogram shows no blockages.
Avatar n tn my mother is suffering from chest pain now Doctor is saying to go for angiogram test?
Avatar n tn Out of the blue a little over a 18 mos. ago, I began having chest pain/burning, left arm pain, left shoulder pain, upper back pain/burning, neck and jaw discomfort. Pain most days, with a week or so respite between consistant 10-14 bad days.
Avatar f tn t have the pain during the angiogram however I did have it during the stress test. I am going to speak with my Dr Tomm. I will bring it up too him . when the Dr spoke with me about the results to the angiogram he did say there were spasms however he was not worried about them because it is sometimes triggered by the test.
Avatar f tn Hello - For approximately 18 months now I have suffered with an increasingly painful head/neckache. At the 4-6 month point, when ignoring it or advil was no longer taking care of the pain I went to a neurologist. I was sent for an MRI of the neck and one of the brain. The neck MRI showed "changes" above and below a previous fusion and discectomy at C5-6. The neurologist mentioned "gliosis" which despite much googling I still don't understand.
Avatar f tn If a artery is completely clogged on the right side of neck that supplies blood to the brain, can anything be done for this condition
Avatar f tn Minor blockages shouldn't cause angina (chest pain due to vessel blockage). But minor blockage with a coronary vessel spasms can cause your symptoms. That condition is not easily diagnosed with the usual tests at ER. What tests have you had? Shortness of breath should be a concern...that was all I needed to be admitted to ER and then ICU for several days for congested heart failure. My SOB felt as if I could not get enough air causing hyperventallation when laying down.
20794198 tn?1534529493 I have had left shoulder/neck/arm pain over the past few months now and it always gets worse with stressful situations! Sometimes there is chest discomfort other times none! I’m only 27, and I don’t have risk factors but I need to be sure it’s not some angina based pain where I have some underlying issue on my artery’s - hence why I’m going for a CT angiogram. What are they like?
Avatar m tn Thank you both your posts, yet I still am anxious to talk with docs. I have an appointment scheduled tomorrow. Medicine is currently: Zocor 80mg only. Medcine prescribed is: Lipitor 80mg, Niaspan 500mg, 2 baby asprin, and folic acid (not sure of the dose.) One question is if the surgeon looked at my heart, and said it was still good, and he did not want to do anything, then why would I still be having refered pain? Or is it something else?
Avatar m tn ok so i have a pain in my back upper left side, and sometimes pain in my chest on the same side. im 22 years old and have no prior health problems. whenever i lay on my side i feel like a burning sensation and almost a faint kind of feeling. same when i lay on my stomach , right or left sides. i also eperience pain in the back and random pains in the chest.. some times left arm pains.. i dont really have an overall sense of well being and this really freaks me out.
