angiogram

Avatar f tn t have the pain during the angiogram however I did have it during the stress test. I am going to speak with my Dr Tomm. I will bring it up too him . when the Dr spoke with me about the results to the angiogram he did say there were spasms however he was not worried about them because it is sometimes triggered by the test.
Avatar n tn my mother is suffering from chest pain now Doctor is saying to go for angiogram test?
Avatar n tn when you say you had a normal heart cath does that mean that the docs did an ablation on your or an angiogram? As far as numbness in your left arm and chest pain did it start after the test was done, before the test was done, how long ago was the test done....try to give us some more answers...and most of all why was the test done....................
Avatar f tn Chest pain and anxiety attacks go hand in hand for nearly all of us...........but chest pain that does not go away soon after the anxiety attack should be evaluated by a doctor. I would say it's NOT normal and you really need to see your doctor to rule out an organic reason for the continuing pain. Please let us know what you find out, OK?
Avatar f tn I am still having chest pain (feels like someone is sitting on my chest) some shortness of breath. I had a EKG done 9-19-08 at the Dr's office and I had a nuclear stress test done 9-26-08 and all is fine according to the reports. This is now the third week of the pain. I am waiting on the Dr's office to return my call, or do I need to go to the Emergency room?
Avatar f tn After I went in with chest pain, I was kept I think it was over a weekend until they could do an angiogram on Monday. The doctor who performed the angiogram said my arteries were pristine like a teenager's, though I heard someone call out "low volume" while the angiogram was being conducted. It was later found out that I was iron deficient. Have you had your ferritin and iron saturation checked recently? Iron deficiency anemia can have chest pain as a symptom.
Avatar n tn If you are experiencing symptoms of heart disease like chest pain and pressure, shortness of breath etc.. then I would go straight to the angiogram as that's what you'll need to do next even if your CT comes back clean and you are still having symptoms, it's the only way to rule out your heart as the cause. If your CT comes back showing the possibility of blockages, then you'll need an angiogram to determine the extent and place stents if necessary.
1569294 tn?1296126095 Beta Blocker is not expected to directly reduce any chest pain if the chest pain is related to the narrow right artery. Have you been given a nitrate medication?...that medication will dilate the narrow vessel and provide a better blood flow and should relieve any chest pain if vascular related. However, many people have a problem with nitro causing severe headaches to relieve chest pain (angina) so the only option available for them would be a stent implant (angioplasty).
Avatar f tn I was in ICU for congested heart failure that came about very suddenly without any symptoms prior. Given blood test, chest x-ray, EKG, echo and then a cath angiogram. The diagnosis was very little blood flowing to the distal portion of the heart. It was believed if the 98% blocked RCA was stented there would be more blood to that portion of the heart. The 100% blocked LAD had developed collateral vessels for a natural bypass, and circumflex is 72% blocked (no stent).
Avatar m tn Iam 31, 2 Months before i got the chest pain and I immediately rushed to the hospital. They did the ECG and found little changes in V4 - V5. And I went through the angiogram. The angiogram results shows negative. And doctor discharged from hospital with some prescription for 3 months. Still I am getting the pain in center of chest. Two days before I went to doctor and in ECG found the V6 changes in the lead.
Avatar n tn After a cardigraph treadmill test I'm being referred for angiogram - I'm going on holiday in two weeks with a 3 hour flight. Should I travel?
Avatar n tn The nuclear stress test is only one test. The angiogram is the best. My mom had a nuclear stress test and then three weeks later had an angiogram which proved that her heart was extremely bad. The nuclear stress test was okay. My mom was plugged in the three arteries. Three heart valves were bad and she had cardiomyopathy. The doctors said that they did not know why she was even able to walk around. The echocardiogram did not show that her heart valves were that bad either.
Avatar m tn He is not pressing however because I have no chest pain and he indicated the stress test results maybe related to the fact I have mycardial bridging. He has left it to me to decide to have another angiogram or just wait 6 months and redo thestress tests. Would appreciate advise.
Avatar f tn I need your advice. I have been having chest pain for 5 years-unrelated to exercise but sometimes related to stress. I have had three angiograms with varying results. First angiogram: surgeon diagnosed a 70% blockage at the main branch of my left anterior descending artery. Upon followup, my cardiologist read the same xray and diagnosed 50% blockage. Second angiogram (2 years later): the surgeon diagnosed 30% blockage in the same area.
Avatar n tn You mention that you have a hiatel hernia and GERD and my cardiologist has told me that these two problems can lead to severe chest pain. So it is definately worth getting everything checked out including the digestive system. You mention exercise and I find that brisk walking or light jogging is the best for me. I enjoy being out and the Sussex Downs are a great place to be at this time of year.
Avatar m tn Yesterday I was eating a snack and watching tv when I felt this strong pressure pain in the center of my chest. I tried ignoring it but the pain was to intense. Any movement made my pain intensify. I also had pain in the jaw and trouble breathing. I trayed laying down and that helped a little but when I got back up and trayed to walk the pain returned. It felt like someone Was standing on my chest.

Avatar f tn ts been about 2 hours now I am burping about 15-20 times in a minute. I have pain and discomfort in my chest. Is it related to heart or I have developed some new problem? Please help.
Avatar m tn Even though you are so young, the first things to be ruled out a heart condition by a 12 lead EKG, tread mill test, ECHO and angiogram. Apart from this severe anemia or an asthmatic chest condition could be the cause. It can also be severe acidity. In case you are stressed out due to something, then it can even be anxiety related. I suggest you consult your PCP for primary examination to find the cause.
Avatar n tn This month I have been extremely fatigued and have had some chest pain. I had a EKG, Cardiolite Stress test, and now am scheduled for an angiogram. They tell me that everything seems normal, but a concern of a low ejection fraction and wall motion abnormality (expulsion of 45%). What will they be looking for with the angiogram?
Avatar f tn Do you take nitro for the chest pain? If that medication provides relief from pain that would be a good indication vessel stenosis exists, and the nitro dilates the vessels enough to stop angina.
Avatar m tn They had to keep increasing the speed to get my heart beat up to the required BPM. I have been training very hard leading up to this test. I did not get any chest pain during this test. They stopped the test because I acheived the required BPM and they did the isotope injection and I had a 3 mm of ST segement depression. My blood pressure before starting the test was 142/90 which was higher than my normal I think because of my worrying and lack of sleep leading up to the test.
