Avatar f tn If you could please tell us what allergies you are suffering from may be we can help co-relate your symptoms. Generally itchy eyes along with congestion are allergic. Only itchy eyes can be a part of tearless eyes or dry eyes or eye strain and sometimes also refractive errors of the eye. Only congestion can be a part of bronchitis, flu, asthma etc. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Avatar f tn I was out in the high heat and perspiration was dripping and nose was running. My eyes got blurry and now are closed and swollen? .
Avatar n tn It could be allergies, although an good eye doctor should be able to diagnose eye allergy symptoms. Did you see an opthamologist or an optometrist? An opthamologist is a medical doctor specializing in the eye. An optometrist only does vision testing for glasses. I find using contact saline solution as an eye wash and an antihistamine eye drop are very helpful. I like Zaditor for my eye drop and use an antique eye wash cup to wash my eyes twice daily. I hope that helps.
Avatar m tn I'm a 47 yr old healthy male in good shape but have had chronic pressure around eyes and forehead pressure + mental fog out-of-it feeling for 25+ yrs and have no clue what could be causing it. Pressure seems worse upon wakening in the morning and eyes are normally somewhat puffy when I get up. To summarize my medical history regarding this situation: 1. Sinus surgery in 2002; sinuses all clear. ENT's don't see any issue at all with my sinuses. 2. Thyroid tests al normal.
Avatar m tn I never knew I had HCV until this past December, so never associated these symptoms with that. Always thought it was just extreme allergy/sinus problems that got worse as I got older. This said, I have had some dry eyes that began recently, I think it is just from the ribavirin and anemia drying the body out. Eye drops help this.
Avatar f tn April same allergy. Went to Doctor 3 times they doubt it might due to fog allergy. Every time the food is different so I couldn't figure the cause. It came during winter and now spring time.. Changed soap shampoo & all items I doubted. Still it comes. One thing I'm sure is it starts in the evening only. And developing thru entire night or next day. Please help me to find the cause or solution..

Avatar n tn Hi forum members, Since few weeks I am noticing that I am having some sort of white discharge from my eyes (both) and some time times it is not only irritating but also has some burning feeling. It also leads to headaches often. I had shown it to one doctor who thought it was some sort of allergy, but this is lasting too long. Can any one advice please?
Avatar f tn Well, to add up to my list of symptoms .. in the past month or so, my eyes have become very itchy, like terribly itchy ! I have no idea why .. and worst of all, since about last week, my eyes have become very red (bloodshot). And lately my eyes are becoming more and more itchy everyday. (+ alot more symptoms, ranging from rashes to nausea...). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it could be, and what I can take to relief the itching? Thank you in advance.
4544656 tn?1371593548 Thanks for your idea. I will have to consider that. I have also read that during the titration process, it's not uncommon for symptoms to temporarily worsen or for new ones to arise. I was wondering if itchy eyes was a "new one" that might go away on its own in a few weeks. I guess I will wait and see. If not, I may need to switch brands or have it custom compounded.
Avatar n tn my son just took cephalexin. He now has swollen eyes and lots of redness. Is this an allergy? Now what?
Avatar f tn Hi - for quite a few years I suffered with allergic rhinitis, eyes would water , constant sneezing, itchy roof of mouth etc etc. various things sparked it - dust, car exhaust fumes, car air freshners, cut grass and for some reason private collection perfume. I was given neoclarityn , beconase and eye drops. This brought it under control and for the last few years I haven't had that.
Avatar n tn My 11yr. old started involuntarily rolling his eyes in Jan.09 and the pediatric optomologist felt that it was allergies so he prescribed a mild steroid eye drop which resolved the problem within a couple of days. Seven months later in July the problem came back and this time the dr. prescribed the strongest steroid drop and now 4 wks. later the problem is NOT going away. By the way his vision was checked and he has no other health issues. I've contacted the dr.
Avatar n tn m 26 and since 3-4 months ago my eyes started to feel painful. I started having dry eyes, red eyes, ... It was a hell to go through the day as I spent most of it behind a computer (work). Since then I have been to several optometrist and ophthalmologists. The first 3 I went to diagnosed an (bacterial) inflammination. I received different drops and gels but nothing really helped. My last ophthalmologist diagnosed it as an allergy.

Most chlorine allergy occurs in people who visit swimming pools very regularly, so make sure you maintain the chlorine level in your swimming pool.
