Avatar m tn ve hit the nail on the head....HISTAMINE OVERLOAD! Please do some research on histamine intolerance. Try a low histamine diet for at least 3 weeks. NO CHEESE, TOMATOES, CHOCOLATE, RED WINE, SPINACH, STRAWBERRIES, ETC. Try an Anti-histamine (ie. Zyrtec, Claritin, Benadryl) until the headaches are gone. I also think I have Candida but haven't been tested. I do believe it has something to do with the inability of the body to process histamine. GOOD LUCK.
Avatar m tn Whenever you are exposed to allergen there will be release of histamine, this is responsible for sneezing first and then followed by further release of histamine in the skin leading to itching, runny nose, watery eyes etc. The order may differ from individuals to individuals. You need to avoid contact with allergen to avoid further complications. Also treatment includes anti histaminic and glucocorticoids against prescription.

The sudden spike in histamine levels can cause an outbreak of rash in the upper layers of the skin. It presents as itchy and swollen bumps or red patches all over the body. Cosmetics are one of the most common triggers. Most of the cosmetics are made with harmful chemicals, which are capable of showing adverse effects on your skin.

Avatar n tn My husband who is now 59yrs. old has developed an allergy to shrimp. I had given him fish oils to take on a daily basis. He took 2 gel capsules of fish oils for at least a month. His face became one big hive so to speak. He developed a raised red rash on his cheeks and a heavy redness around his eyes which began to exfoliate and itched. At first we did not suspect the fish oils because he has never had any allergies or issues with fish of any kind.

I can eat everything, doesn't matter if it's histamine rich or not. I found it online and I got it recommended by some users within a allergy forum. The supplement is called Daosin. And now my question. Does someone got expierence with it?
Avatar m tn A lot of our symptoms are similar to the H. Pylori ones. I have done a H Pylori blood test which came back negative, but apparently those tests, and the stool tests, are known to have a low detection rate. The breath test, and the more invasive gastroscopic sample test directly from the stomach have >98% detection rate. Have anyone tried one of those? On a side note, I've also taken a histamine allergy test which came back positive.

The histamine H2-receptor antagonists, like cimetidine (Tagamet) or ranitidine (Zantac) and famotidine (Pepcid) might actually work better. I know, it sounds goofy, but the histamine response causes the acid pumps in the stomach to turn on.

Avatar m tn I was officially diagnosed with the allergy to said nut after allergy testing when I was in my early teens. I subsequently had a few more allergic reactions throughout the next 20+ years, all similar, some also with breathing difficulties, always only with ingestion of coconut or with it touching my tongue/mouth/face. I am not allergic to any other nuts or seeds.
