thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(
I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.
I am thinking it may be better to increase calcium, improve general mineral, Vit D nutrition and get another bone density test as opposed to taking biphosphonates. If my bone density doesn't improve then I will consider taking it for up to 5 years. My concern now is - how healthy is it - really- in general to not allow the body to remove dead bone tissue? Would this not impede building healthy tissue? Thank you in advance for an opportunity to learn more.

Each patient had disease processes not amenable to surgery. The patients underwent clinical follow-up at 1, 3, and 6 months. Their pain levels were documented at each visit by using a visual analog scale. All 3 patients demonstrated a significant decrease in pain levels and became independent of scheduled analgesics.
Last Friday dilation was at -3 & so the past 3 days or so I've been doing squats & firmly rubbing my stomach for 1 minute in between & I've dilated to . Plus my baby is not breech anymore. I'm gonna keep up the squats & belly rubbing. Plus sex of course to get this lil guy out!
Hi I'm plus size too. Weight has nothing to do with the heartbeat. Doctors and midwifes advice that in any pregnancy the heartbeat can be heard at 16 weeks. In some cases in can be earlier but they say from 16. Don't worry it's nothing to do with weight.
Hi! I'm a mother if two healthy girls, 12&9. I've been divorced 10 years met the Love of My Life! Never thought I would want to have another baby but, I did. We planned charts had fun ding it, we got preg right off, then at 8 week u/s no fetal pole:( I then bled days after that, no need foe d/c. It's been two weeks and we can't stop hoping we could get pregnant ASAP. Ob says wait, ? HELP? I didn't know how bad I wanted a baby until now.
Also, would it perhaps be possible to add some alendronate, or something else to help her bone density and still be able to benefit from the thyroid medication? Thank you so much!
I am also taking Aromasin for bc. Stopped alendronate (I am osteopenic due to 30 yrs of prednisolone and Arimidex) in case this caused the oesophagitis. Would appreciate your advice.
s, but this has exponentially been exacerbated by Arimidex. For the past 2 yrs I have been taking a weekly bisphosphonate (Alendronate), plus twice daily Calcichew/Vit.D to help prevent further bone loss.
Tamoxifen is prescribed for pre-menopausal patients, the AI's for post-menopausal. As I had a full hysterectomy some 19 yrs ago, I could go straight on to Arimidex.

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.
I am 3 days late. Took a clear blue plus hpt with my first pee this morning. It showed a faint positive. One line in the + was dark blue and second one was visible silverish line. But clearly a + sign. I am at work now so I cant go and buy a second test to re-test! Any suggestions for a more sensitive test? Preferable cheap since I have spent more money on hpt than I care to admit! I know I know. Wait 2 days and re-test.
Now just this year my problems became significantly worse with breathlessness, balance problems, vision blurry, mental fog, memory problems, insomnia and many more. I was diagnosed with depression/ anxiety. My vit D level was low and I was put on prescription Vit d3, but had little improvement. So after researching I requested the b12 injections, even though my labs were within normal range. My doctor agreed and wrote rx for me to give myself injections.

My Vitamin D was 20 and my Dr. has me taking 10,000 iu's of over the counter D-3 daily plus a prescription. It's hard on the stomach so I take 5,000 iu's twice daily. I have it checked again in 6 months.
30+ yrs of steroids has thinned my bones significantly, so I was prescribed a bisphosphonate (Alendronate) alongside calcium (Calcichew) and Vitamin D3. My hair is a lot thicker now. You might wish to get tested for Vit.D as I understand that some 50% of the population who do not live in sunny climates, are deficient. Not sure if it affects the hair though. Try googling "hair loss vitamin D" and see what comes up.
The more my cervix is ready (which stripping membranes can help) the quicker the entire induction process should go.
