aldara

Avatar m tn just wondering do i really have to throw away each aldara packet after one usage... i feel like its such a waste since i only use like a fourth of it for each application...???
Avatar m tn I thought about the laser surgery which would be very expensive but the doctor put me back on the Aldara, which I filled this time, hoping it would take care of the problem. I have been on Aldara for about six weeks now, using it exactly as the box reads and being very careful with cleanliness. However, it appears that the warts are worsening and quite rapidly.
Avatar f tn A week after the cauterization the warts came back and since it is so expensive I prefer not to have it removed. Is this a better plan or should I cauterized it again?
Avatar n tn I have had genital warts for 5 years now and ive been using aldara for quite some time. aldara seems to work pretty well for the most part. while using aldara frequeantly i would experience some side effects like some pain or swelling after using it for a long period of time. i would stop the use and the redness/ swelling would go away and i would contine use and everything would be okay.
Avatar m tn I was Told to buy ALDARA....... very expensive but life is more important..... has any one used this medication? Please help and I appreciate all the answers.
Avatar n tn there are shiny small dots forming above my clitoris too..could this be more warts forming!? she also prescribed aldara in case. is this the only way to be sure? what are the other possibilities besides warts. how do i stop it from spreading if it is? what about spreading it to my boyfriend? how effective is aldara?
Avatar f tn i've had gential warts in and around my vagina and in and around my anus for about 4 months now and have been using aldara cream 3 times a week for those past 4 months. i've been having sex every week with my partner of the last year and he has not noticed the warts on me. the cream has not helped at all as the warts have grown and become more widespread. the aldara also irritated my skin so much! went back to my doctor who is going to freeze my warts next week. is this a painful procedure?
Avatar m tn Hi i was diagnosed with Anal warts and was prescribed with Aldara. My doctor didnt really elaborate on how many times i should apply it but i did 2x per week (mon and friday) since its too expensive! this was my before treatment pic http://s3.amazonaws.com/medhelp_images/user_photos/277373?1339513577 and this is my 1st week treatment http://s3.amazonaws.com/medhelp_images/user_photos/277374?
Avatar n tn they prescribed me the aldara cream but I think I want to get them zapped off with cryotherapy instead. it might be cheaper (aldara is $$ EXPENSIVE $$), and it will get rid of them right away.
Avatar m tn I check online and seem like they have all good reviews. Seem too good to be true. I also heard about Aldara but the price is little bit expensive.
Avatar m tn This year I finally got health insurance and saw a doctor. I have used 4 rounds of aldara over the last 3 to 4 months and saw absolutely zero improvement. Hundreds of dollars gone and more warts keep sprouting. Please help! What can I do to get rid of these things. Any home remedies? Anything I can buy on the net? I saw a site for vidarox. It looked good but I'm skeptical and it's expensive. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I had surgery in August and they started to return before the wounds were completely healed. I tried Aldara for 8 weeks and the warts kept growing larger. I then recieved TCA treatments and after 3 weeks the external warts are gone. My question is what would you recomend I do abaut the internal warts? I don't want to get surgery again because it was expensive and in effective.I would rather go with watchful waiting. Is this a bad idea? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Did you check out planned parenthood to see how much they would charge to remove them? Aldara is $$$ and takes too long to work if you ask me.
Avatar m tn She diagnosed me with genital warts however she referred me to a gyno who also said i have genital warts and prescribed aldara cream. So i began using aldara cream, however on the 3rd week i got severe bad reactions. After every application the wart would actual get bigger in size and i would get tingly feelings in my genitals and due to that i wouldnt be able to sleep at night.
Avatar m tn there are several options, the least expensive is to try a topical solution like Podofilox. Supposedly it's available at Walgreens drug stores without a prescription. I bought an identical product for a friend in Mexico for $6. Aldara prescription cream for warts is ridiculously expensive, so unless you can get it at a huge discount try Podofilox first. There are other options like freezing them off, etc., but that requires a doctor visit.
Avatar n tn I showed these bumps to my gynecologist, who almost couldn't see them they are so small. She said they were probably warts and prescribed Aldara. The Aldara had absolutely no effect whatsoever. I'm wondering if these really are warts at all or just natural variations, but they are too small to be tested. If they are warts, shouldn't the Aldara have had at least a minimal effect? Or shouldn't they have grown or spread or changed color or something within the past year?
Avatar n tn I recently used the prescription medication Aldara (Imiquimod) as indicated for one month. The clusters of perianal warts disappeared for a while (several weeks at most), but they have since returned and look the same as they did prior to treatment. My question is: Being that Aldara is an immune response modifier, do you think that I should try using the cream once more in hopes that it will stimmulate my immune system to fight the HPV?
Avatar n tn I do not use Aldara to treat the outbreaks as I suffer bad reactions from it. Instead, my doctor applies podophyllin (generally multiple applications) or burns the warts with a laser. QUESTION: Since most of the outbreaks occur on the shaft, my dermatologist suggested that I might want to consider circumscision to remove the infected skin and thus limit the outbreaks. My urologist didn't think it was a good idea.
Avatar n tn I'm not real sure what you mean about grooming (I'm new to all this forum stuff) but for a bikini line legs or under arms a more expensive razor is far less likely to leave bumps.
Avatar m tn i have tried a topical cream also called aldara which was expensive and i picked one off at the time before using it so not sure if it worked properly? please help as my doctor cant seem to tell me to much about it except getting them burnt off which will be painful and ill always have to explain my scars please help me?
2206935 tn?1373642205 No one treatment is better than another. People react differently to each type of method used. Your doctor may try to use liquid nitrogen and freeze your warts. I do not recommend surgery. Your warts will resolve eventually on their own anyway, be patient.
598912 tn?1219552112 I have hpv,and i had a reoccurence of gw so m doc 0rescribed aldara. ******* hell hole in a packet. after only s couple days of using it, yesterday my vagina lips swoll up along with the middle portion too. i began to walk funny because it would hurt to bump them together. i was at work still and needed to home asap.
Avatar n tn Aldara cream works like a charm. It is quite expensive, but worth it! Got rid of mine in one week!!!!
Avatar f tn Even with insurance surgery is expensive and after He missed warts I didnt trust Him. I went to planned Parenthood and Im on week 3 of Aldara. Not sure if its working yet and no skin irratation like I read about .

Avatar n tn One quick follow-up, how is it that Condylox is just as effective as Aldara when they attack the warts two different ways, the Aldara inside within the immune system, and the Condylox from the surface of the wart? Also, I have heard a lot of wart sufferers sing the praises of tea tree oil, that it dries up the wart almost immediately and makes the area very dry/irritated, is this just a cosmetic change to the wart?
Avatar n tn So I went back again and same procedure, after this he perscribed Aldara. The warts did return but only a few returned and I have been using Aldara for eleven weeks now. I also started using tea tree oil the days that I am not using Aldara,(aldare used three times a week) Basically, I still have visiably warts in the groin, they are smaller and red, no itching ever, even when they were bad and they have never hurt me at all, just have been in the groin area.
556286 tn?1215557480 Please don't worry, I used to have these warts on my butts, and my doctor gave me Aldara cream 5% (imiquimod) and it went away within two weeks. Aldara is kind of expensive they're $300 for 12 tiny packets of about 4 water droplets. But they worked like miracle. Please ask you doctor for a prescription.
