Aldara burn

Common Questions and Answers about Aldara burn

aldara

Avatar m tn dont use aldara. I think ACV even does better than aldara although some people here would disagree with my opinion. You can get mini surgery like electrocauterization, cryotherapy, or use podofin and its variants. These three, afaik, are better than anything else to treat warts.
Avatar m tn Hello, I had discoloration on my penis when I applied Aldara to an area that was irritated from treatment with vinegar. This left it with a lighter pigment than the rest of the penis. Will this go away on its own, and if not, is there anything I can do about it?
Avatar m tn Just started a treatment of Aldara today. I always seem to have a few small genital warts on me. Does anyone know what I can expect. I am 31 and healthy in every way. I have been receiving cryotherapy for 3 years and they always come back. I was told that Aldara will help get my immune system involved in fighting the virus so I will have a better chance of losing the warts. Has anyone out there used thus treatment ?
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Aldara for GW and used it twice, as directed with a day in between. The side effects, fever/chills and pain were horrible, almost unbearable, so I stopped using it. Now I have these sores in the vaginal area that sting and burn to the point that walking and even sitting up is painful. I'm wondering if I can put bacitracin on them to heal them faster, or is there something I can use for healing and the pain?
Avatar n tn When I would apply the Aldara to the base, it would rest on my scrotum and the medicine would get on the scrotum and burn it. It has left pretty bad scarring there, the skin is basically white now. That is the least of my worries though. Thanks for the help.
Avatar n tn One another suggestion is to apply some moisturizer or petrolium jelly on the skin surrounding the warts while applying the aldara on warts... remember, aldara is to be applied on warts only and should not come in contact with the healthy skin...
Avatar n tn This is no question but rather a clarification. I have been using aldara for about a month and a half, and judgeing by the topics, several others need some guidence. I caught Molluscum contagium, maybe from the gym, maybe from sex who knows, who cares. I noticed some very small hybrid of pimples and warts in my gentital area. So of course, like most of you, I freaked. I am a healthy 21 year old male who has had a fairly modest sexual life (less than 10 partners, no one night stands).
Avatar f tn A week later i got cryotherapy to freeze some off and she gave me aldara cream to apply for the following week. that was last week. so i applied the cream to the small areas and for the first day it was fine but after the second day of applying i have been in so much pain, pain to pee, walk, sit, do anything. i have noticed also one area where the largest wart was (was only small) this area has gone totally white. I am writing to ask if this is normal.
Avatar m tn I have recently started to use Aldara cream for the removal of genital warts. I thought that this was a simple treatment and followed the doctors orders of applying only 3 times a week. What was not mentioned was the fact that I should wash the cream off after a certain period of time, I assumed that the cream should be left until fully absorbed. This in hindsight was possibly one of the worst decisions I have ever made.
Avatar f tn Im taking Aldara or m GW its been a lil ova a week and it just started burning around my out breaks is this normal like when water hits it something like dat. is this normal should it burn. its like a burning itching feeling. should i call my doctor or is this suppost to happen?
Avatar f tn After a whole week of having this constant itch and burn and continuing to use the Aldara I went back to my Dr. He scared me so bad because he sai "these aren't the bumps you had before, how old is your boyfriend and do you only have sex with him?" I answered yes and that I knew. He did a culture and a blood test and told me to call him in a week because it looks like I have herpes. I started crying on the spot. He prescribed me Herpes meds a cream and pills.
Avatar f tn welll ive been using this cream for my gw and now my skin down there burns like when i touch it is that normal or shud i call my gyn just started been using my prescription for a week now.
Avatar n tn There are creams that you can purchase at the drugstore that claim to reduce the appearance of scars, but I've not seen one that works very well, and they will probably not do much on a chemical burn scar. Additionally, those creams mostly state that they aren't intended for use on genitals. If you continue to experiment with "internet cures," you risk further damaging your penis skin.
Avatar f tn In all honesty, I didn’t apply the cream correctly and just applied I️t all over my vulva area. This area began to itch and burn so I had stopped using the cream which didn’t present much of an issue because my warts had cleared up pretty quickly. Now I noticed that both sides of my vulva has been very itchy and when I checked in the mirror I noticed that I had a rug burn looking rash and the area had a whitish/pinkish hue.
Avatar m tn it's very common to get skin issues like this with aldara use. It works by giving you a chemical burn. no reason to doubt your herpes testing even though it appears that you had non-type specific herpes igg blood testing done. It was completely negative. has your partner been examined to see if she has molluscum too?
598912 tn?1219552112 I have hpv,and i had a reoccurence of gw so m doc 0rescribed aldara. ******* hell hole in a packet. after only s couple days of using it, yesterday my vagina lips swoll up along with the middle portion too. i began to walk funny because it would hurt to bump them together. i was at work still and needed to home asap.
Avatar m tn i have tried vitamin e and hydrocortisone to help but decided to just leave it alone... can aldara cause my penis nerves/skin to burn for the rest of my life? anything i can do...

Avatar m tn If a female have warts inside her vaginal canal, how do they remove it? Aldara did not help.
Avatar m tn Don't know..but it's worth paying and asking the doc in the expert forum for peace of mind.
Avatar n tn 1)Is it possible to be getting results from Aldara without seeing any irritation to the warts that werent treated with cryo? Is it normal to use cryo and aldara together? What is the normal process of aldara because my penis is not red all over like the "during treament" on the aldara website? 2) There is some painful blistering on my scrotum from the aldara (not that I had visible warts there it is just where my penis lay after I put on the aldara)...is this normal?
Avatar n tn However, after bigger recurring warts, my skin was getting burn by aldara. Doctor suggested me to stop using aldara and told me to use diaper cram for treatment the irritation. I start the treatment with TCA acid every week with family practice nurse. TCA acid makes the wart smaller, however, I always have bigger new genital warts in the other area. So far, I have had genital for more than 6 months 1) Do I have the right treatment? 2) When should I have another pap smear?

Avatar m tn ) - He also said they should fall off in 3-4 days. 15 days later they're still here. He also prescribed Aldara, and told me to use 12 of them (he prescribed 24, but said I shouldn't need it) I did the 12, and over the course it seems to have ruptured one or 2, and they started pussing(is this normal?). I also got a sore on the testicles that oozes pus(that sounds really gross, and it is)..
Avatar m tn They did the acid treatment and burnet out 2 warts but it seems like each and every time they burn one there is another one showing up the next day ? does this mean i am having a breakout? why does the other one show up so fast? I was Told to buy ALDARA....... very expensive but life is more important..... has any one used this medication? Please help and I appreciate all the answers.
Avatar f tn Went to the doctor in June of this year and she prescribed with Aldara because she thought it was molluscum contagiosum which I was told to put on 3 times a week. So I started using the cream and noticed no difference on my inner thighs or butt. But when I put it on my labia it turned into a sore and is terribly itching and burning now and now has a lump/bulge. No idea what it is or how I can help the burning and itching which is causing a lot of pain.
Avatar f tn My doctor has agreed they are skin tags but has said they are viral infection and related to herpes? Is this correct? She has prescribed some lotion which should burn them off? I'm now concerned as all internet sites indicated them to just ben skin tags which occur after pregnancy....which I have not been? Confused!!!
Avatar m tn My question is, i have had molluscum virus close to 2 months and they seemed to be clearing up, but i seem to have now 2 blisters that do not look like the other bumps and they hurt and burn. I am also using Aldara, can that be causing the strange burning blisters?
