Watching hot tub time machine and I am laughing so hard it's making my belly hurt and the baby is retaliating with jabs and pokes.
I was doing laundry today and i share a washing machine with a bunch of people in my apartment building when i switched my clothes from the washer to the dryer i noticed a band aid was in the washing machine. I dont even remember the last time i used a bandaid so I know that it is not from me. Is there any risk involved with someone else's band aid going through a laundry with your clothes?
I'm 26 weeks pregnant. I work for a hotel, and as I was cleaning the towels in the pool area, the hot tub looked sooooooo good. I checked the water, on a scale of 1 to 10, it's about a 5 in heat. Did anybody use one while pregnant? I know there's a lot of things we shouldn't do that some people have done and been okay with. The tub is just warmed right now, the water heater thing is shut off.
However I spent a couple of minutes in the hot tub and I was a little worried about the potential of HIV in water . I was joined by two men in the bath tub who might have had sex before, but then shortly left the hot tub without any contact .
Does HIV lose its infectiousness in water . What prevents HIV present in water from infecting through the tip of your penis?
Does a visit to an hot tub in a bathhouse warrant testing ? I am a little anxious since it was my first time.

Responding to "exposure in a hot tub?", without reading anything else: If you had unprotected vaginal or anal sex in the hot tub, there might be risk of HIV. Anything other than that would be no risk.
Now I have read the rest of the question. Like many people anxious about HIV, you make unscientific assumptions about transmission of the virus.
Is it ok if i walked that long? After that we went to the pool. Section nd there was a hot tub so I got in there nd by the time dat happened I saw on the rules dat pregnant women can't get in I got out. I was wondering if I only stayed in the hot tub for abt 1 min could it harm my baby?? I am only 5weeks.. I went to the regular pool which i think is ok rite??
My son is 18 years old. We have a hot tub. The hot tub had not been used for at least a week and the chemical levels had not been checked in that same amount of time. Three days ago my son went into the hot tub without checking the levels twice in the same day for approximately 30 minutes each time. The water temperature was 104 degrees. Today, three days later my son developed intense itching all over his body. He has a light pin point like rash on his back, buttocks, legs and arms.
I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant and on vacation. We have a hot tub at out cabin and I've been avoiding it all week. Weve turned down the temperature to 78F in hopes that I can get it. I read that the water needs to be lower than 100F or damage can be done, and other scary things that I don't want to risk! Does anyone have any feedback, experience, or advice? I think limited time at 78F would be fine but I wanted to talk with others first!

You could end up paying for that experiment for a long long time while the eczema calms back down.
You can try adding vinegar or baking soda to your wash. That will help eliminate some odors and make your laundry smell a little better. Vinegar is a sanitizing agent and will kill odor causing bacteria. While baking soda is an odor absorber. You could also try adding an esential oil to your rinse water if there is one that won't cause a flare up of your eczema.
It has to be better than lying here watching the minutes tick by. Im agitated. Pissy. This *****. I want a time machine.

It has been over a month now and I just started having a white discharge. we have been exclusive. can an infection from having sex in a hot develop into some sort of std from the bacteria?
My child takes baths in the shower/tub that I also use. I shower in the a.m. And he bathes at night, but the tub stays wet cuz we live in a hot climate without ac. I also use the same washing machine as the rest of the family, so maybe the virus spread that way too. I have only had one outbreak since he was born,but I worry about spreading the virus without symptoms. I've heard it is highly contagious that way. He's still in diapers.
