Let me add to what the other poster said. For some recovering men preforming without alcohol is like a severe case of stage fright. They have so many things going through their minds that what if they are unable to preform like they should, then that is just one more thing that they will have to deal with and they don't think they can handle it at first. It took my husband about a year to totally open up about the sex issue.

We had some other bad things similar with alchole getting drunk not calling ect ect! But there is hope!!!! We really stuck it out And worked through things and our priorities. What I needed from him emotionaly And all that jazz;) if you've never read the book Five Love Languages i highly recommended it!

My father in law is a Navy Veteran of more than 30 years, really a one of a kind man, in his 70's and still going stronger than most men in their 20's... it says a lot about a person when they are willing to lay down their life for the freedom of complete strangers...
