I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.
I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.
ENT docs all had me on Nexium on and off. Was told to stay on it. After about 3 months, was having bad low back pain and pain on the top of both thighs. I then had a left rib fracture of unknown cause. At that time, no side effects like this were published. I did find a small group with similar symptoms but my Doc said it was not the Nexium. I stopped it and within 4 days, the flank and thigh pain were gone. I was later put on Omeprazole, 40 mg 2x a day fir the past few months.
I have taken fosamax and actonel and have had stomach problems and aching bones. My doctor is thinking about the yearly injection of reclast. How safe is it and will I have more problems with my bones aching - I can't sleep at night a lot from the pain.

i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN BE GOING ON WITH ME ?
They are given generally prescribed orally and include Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva. They can cause some severe stomach distress as they did for my father. When this happens there are injectable forms of bisphosphonates.
Ibandronate (Boniva injection) is injected into your vein once every three months, and zoledronic acid (Reclast) is injected once a year. If approved by your physician these treatments do not cause stomach distress and you do not have to remember to take a tablet.
It had sludge,stones, and was diseased. I thought great the pain will be gone. Guess what, not a week later- same pain!!! The lump in my throat has only been back a week or so though but it is so aggravating. I try to belch, burp and have even made myself vomit to try to ease it. Strange thing is when I eat it helps it for awhile. Seems like if I've been doing anything bending over alot it brings it on. The severe abdominal pain is not daily but comes on mostly in late evening.
Right hip replacement. I'm on requip, lyrica, cymbalta,celebrex, just starting actonel plus vitamins & calcium. thank you. I'm 76, female. I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.
I am 75 years old, have had many surguries, including two recent knee replacements. I have great pain, esp at nite down my leg into my foot with numbness, this starts at the hip esp on the left side. What are my options?
Non-hormonal biphosphonates (such as Fosamax and Actonel) increase bone strength and are available as once-a-week pills. These can also be taken.

If you are taking pain reliever and have taken antibiotics and you are having a reoccuring fever of 99.9 F or more, then this could indeed be a problem. The only way to know if it is viral or you need an antibiotic is for the doctor to run some blood tests to see if your body is fighting off any illnesses. But also if you are on osteoporosis medications currently, the medication you are taking could be causing your symptoms.
A gnawing pain in your bones and muscles. This led to pain in my mid upper arm once in awhile. This spread then to my shoulder, collar bone and shoulder blade. And then to my elbow and wrist on occasion. With sometimes numbness in my pinky finger and the one next to it but that only happened twice. Now is constant and still excruciating if I move just right.

I am a 15 year old girl and for the past 3 years my stomach pain has been really. bad. It all started after I was diagnosed and cured of H-pylori. The pain has slowly gotten worse over the years. It. consists of nausea, reflux, sour stomach, and stomach spasms. It has gotten to the point where I had my gallbladder taken out. Hi, I was diagnosed about three years ago with Hypothyroidism with three small nodules on my right side and one large one on my left. I suffered considerably with tiredness,fatigue, muscle and joint pain. I take 0.5 mg synthroid daily and don't seem to have any problem with that anymore. My levels have never changed. I am going to be 41 years old.
The nodules are 95% not cancerous. The ones on my right side have grown 2 mm each in the last year and now measure 4mm.
however, i wake up and with the first deep breath i take i get a stabbing pain in my gut that really hurts. I had this pain while on HC for awhile, but it got better with a PPI. I am not taking any meds that should be hurting my stomach like this. it gets better after i have gotten up and eaten something, but i can't figure out what is causing it.
does this have anything to do with low thyroid or low cortisol?--or am i having another unrelated problem that should be checked out?
t have such painful pain for more ...... my stomach is always bloated which affects my back and either i feel pain in my stomach and back pain is also related ......any help i went to many doctors and made too many analyses with no benefits the pain goes worse and increases
