I am 3 years post breast cancer i had lumpectomy chemo rads i have taken tamoxofen for 2,5 years now on aromasil i had a bone density scan and was told i had low calcuim levels, now on calcuim sandox and actonel asked if i had osetoprosis and was told no have read around actonel and have not taken it yet as of the side effects please can you advice thanks.
I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.
i currnetly am taking actonel for my bones the past 3 years and klonopin i per night and take alot of vitamins such as B compex etc. no alcohol consumption but i do smoke half a pack of cigarettes per day no other medical conditions known 6 months ago all my blood workups were normal . ANY IDEAS WHAT CAN BE GOING ON WITH ME ?
Right hip replacement. I'm on requip, lyrica, cymbalta,celebrex, just starting actonel plus vitamins & calcium. thank you. I'm 76, female. I have osteoporosis of the right hip and osteopenia of the left hip. I have peripheral neuropathy (familial), and two bad knees.
I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.
I have taken fosamax and actonel and have had stomach problems and aching bones. My doctor is thinking about the yearly injection of reclast. How safe is it and will I have more problems with my bones aching - I can't sleep at night a lot from the pain.

ENT docs all had me on Nexium on and off. Was told to stay on it. After about 3 months, was having bad low back pain and pain on the top of both thighs. I then had a left rib fracture of unknown cause. At that time, no side effects like this were published. I did find a small group with similar symptoms but my Doc said it was not the Nexium. I stopped it and within 4 days, the flank and thigh pain were gone. I was later put on Omeprazole, 40 mg 2x a day fir the past few months.
Non-hormonal biphosphonates (such as Fosamax and Actonel) increase bone strength and are available as once-a-week pills. These can also be taken.

It had sludge,stones, and was diseased. I thought great the pain will be gone. Guess what, not a week later- same pain!!! The lump in my throat has only been back a week or so though but it is so aggravating. I try to belch, burp and have even made myself vomit to try to ease it. Strange thing is when I eat it helps it for awhile. Seems like if I've been doing anything bending over alot it brings it on. The severe abdominal pain is not daily but comes on mostly in late evening.
If you are taking pain reliever and have taken antibiotics and you are having a reoccuring fever of 99.9 F or more, then this could indeed be a problem. The only way to know if it is viral or you need an antibiotic is for the doctor to run some blood tests to see if your body is fighting off any illnesses. But also if you are on osteoporosis medications currently, the medication you are taking could be causing your symptoms.
Thanks for the answer to my question, I just had knee surgery one week ago today, and was experiencing painful leg pain. I have a history of blood clots in my legs, the pain in which I am feeling is much like what I felt when I has the blood clot in the pass. I was sent to have a venous dopper test done if it was determined that I had a cyst in the vein in the back of my knee. Just did not know if this was something serious or what I should do about treatment for this problem.
Earlier I had this extremely bad pain in my leg, I have never felt something like it. I have a sciatica nerve but this was nothing like it and I also were having contractions everytime I felt the pain in my leg! Anyone know what it could be? I dont feel it anymore at least for right now. I have an appointment tomorrow gonna talk to my doctor about it. And also anything I can do for the pain!? 38 + 4 weeks.
Hi! I went to the doctor Monday, we are still waiting on the results from the culture he did but he is pretty positive I have genital herpes. I'm having some pretty weird leg pain it pretty much feels like my legs are sunburned my skin all over my legs is very tender. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it related to gh?
It could also be sciatica. Which can go down your leg. Hurts like crazy sometimes.
It sounds like you might have a tailbone injury and are getting some referred pain (the pain can turn into sciatica and move somewhere where the injury is not).
I currently have the same injury and it's weird how the pain can spread to random places like sometimes down my leg, in my hips, in the lower back, etc.
