Imaging tests for cysts can be confusing. I had a post menopausal cyst they said was on one ovary....in surgery they found it was on the opposite ovary. They only went on US and TVU to diagnose and my CA-125 was normal...but right on the high end of normal.
TVU is a great harmless imaging test but not perfect. MRI and CT show a lot more, so if your doctor is pleased with those results that should mean you are fine.
I cannot explain the pain you are feeling.
He ran a CT scan that afternoon and they saw what they thought was an abscess on my right ovary. He got me to the GYN immediately Friday. She said she is not sure if it is a abscess or a cyst on my right ovary. Gave me some antibiotics and I am scheduled for an ultrasound today at 1:45 and dr visit at 3:30. I had a hysterectomy approx. 6 years ago but she left my ovaries because I was young. I found out at the visit on Friday that during the hyst. that she got rid of a cyst on the same ovary.
I am experiencing pain on my left side near the abdoman area from front to back. The skin there is tender to the touch. My stomach seems to be swollen. Should I be concerned?
Yesterday I had chills very tired but no fever but I also have multiple sclerosis. Today along with the lump, I felt more of the same way as well as a pain near my right ovary as if I was going to get my period. I am 48 years old and I guess premenopausal as my period does not follow a regular schedule anymore, so the pain near my ovary dif not concern me. Because I was feeling feverish even though I have no fever ,I fell asleep for a little while.
t go into all of the details but basically after almost a month of stomach pain, nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, etc. it was discovered by way of CT scan and transvaginal ultrasound that I have an abscess on my right ovary due to a ruptured ovarian cyst. They put me on a seven day cycle of two strong antibiotics and said I should be feeling better within a few days. The thing is tomorrow will be my last day of being on the antibiotics and I'm still not feeling great.
In August I was back in the hospital in severe pain. Cat Scan showed Left ovary measures 3.2x2.8 c, Follicles noted. There is a complex cystic area in the right adnexa measuring 4.8 x 2.8 cm. This may represent a complex ovarian cyst, possibility of hematoma or abscess cannot be excluded. I spent 5 days in the hospital (not the hospital that did the hysterectomy) on heavy antibiotics. I can not have sex without pain and still suffer from almost constant cramps and pain. Any suggestions?

Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture.
Pain on my right side where my appendics was, pain on my lower abdomen, pain on my lower back and also a constant urgency to urinate with unsuccessful evacuation. Its also sore when i sit on my bottom. I am really worried about it, my Dr said that the blood from the burst cyst is an irritant in my abdomen that could have caused adhesions on my bladder? He didn't seem too bothered and didn't examine me.

Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area.
I would recommend seeing a dentist and getting treatment started.
I went home the next day, then returned to the hospital 3 days later with severe abdominal pain and fever. I was diagnosed with a pelvic abscess and severe infection. After a week in the hospital, I was sent home with a picc-line in my arm and a drainage tube for the abscess. I have been taking antibiotics vancomycin and Invanz daily through infusion.
I have been home 10 days and the drainage is now cloudy light pink as opposed to the dark pink with clumps while I was in the hospital.
i have a constant slightly minor pain on my left side about 5 inches below my ribs, deep breathing makes it hurt, started after i ate and have had this for a full 24hrs any ideas should i be worried
