I know it may sound really strange but I am in so much pain from recurrent abscesses. The abscesses are usually on my leg or in my arm pit and under my breast. I had one in my rectum area too. I had been to the doctors so many times and put on dicloxicillin which seemed to help at the time, yet they still kept on recurring. i don't know what to do.......

Went to ER yesterday and they said all reports (blood and urine) are normal and the lymph node pain may be due to abscess. They did not say what is causing my fevers and its associated symptoms. Malaria preliminary reports from ER are negative.

hi, while showering this morning i noticed i had a fairly big lump under my leg, about 1inch x 1/2inch, that seems to have sprung up over night, because i didin't feel anything there yesterday. It is a bit sensitive but isn't painful. Any idea what it could be? Maybe a muscle knot or something of the like?
My girlfriend has a lump between her vagina and her leg. It's on the upper half of her vagina. It is more of a bump. It isn't real tall but it hurts her to touch it and she told me this morning that it has gotten bigger. Do you know what it might be? Or what she can do to make it feel better? From the symptoms it sounds like a boil or an abscess. A boil caused due to staph infection generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out.
Apply warm compresses on these bumps and consult a dermatologist for examination and confirmation of diagnosis.
May want to have a rectal- ultrasound to see where the abscess (fistula) is and find out if the abscess is gone. I'm on Medicaid and they covered the tests and surgeries.
However, for the next 3 years the bumps came back and around the same time of year (Aug-Sept), and once again disappeared. I have located two on my leg beginning to form once again and am growing concerned. I'm unable to find any information even closely relating/resembling these recurring bumps. Please help!! Thank you!
) After feeling the scalple slicing open my abscess, then the doctor found a previous abscess under that one and had to slice it open as well. After all of this, it was time to begin packing the wound with this stringgy gauze filled with antibiotic by using a small pair of sissors to do it. I felt everything! It felt like he was poking the abscess with the sharp sissor and then dragging it around the inside edges of the wound. Another very painful and tramatic experience!
About three weeks ago, my calf was swollen, red, and itchy after a 7 hour car ride from SF to LA. I also noticed there was a lump/bump beneath my skin at the location of the swelling and a noticeable warmth at the site. I waited a couple of days to see if the swelling would go away but when my condition stayed the same, I went to an urgent care center. They ruled out DVT based on my symptoms and they suggested it was an infection of some sort and prescribed me an antibiotic, which I never took.

Our one year old cat has had 39.8 fever and slight limping on his back leg since a week. We`ve been to the vet twice with him. First visit he got a shot of anti-inflammatory and antibiotics. The vet said he could not find any physical marks like bite wounds or anything. He was good until the anti inflammatory wore off, then back on the couch sleeping with 39.9 fever.
a few days ago i noticed a place on my right butt cheek in the middle closer to my hip then the middle of my cheek that goes around to my groin area on my leg there are a few nodules......my doctor measured it it is 26 inches long just unfer the skin few nodules ...it doesnt hurt unless it is touched ...im not running a fever....my doctor has no clue she said she has never ran across anything like it ...is there anyone who might have any clue?
