my doctor told me I was suppose to wait 7 days before the nuvaring can take effect after I inserted the nuvaring on the 4th day of my period.. I had sex with my boyfriend on two of the days before the 7 days were up.. but we did the pull out method. I have an ovulation calender on my phone and it said that I would ovulate a couple days after the 7th day was up.. do I have anything to worry about still if I didnt ovulate during the time I had sex?
I just started on Nuvaring & my doctor had instructed me to put it in on the first & take it out on the 26th of each month. While this makes it easier to remeber when to take in or out, will it change the effectiveness of the medicine? Has anyone ever heard of this method? Is anyone currently practicing this same method? Bottom line is this safe & effective to practice?

I know we can sign up to be followed by a Pegasys nurse who will answer our questions and call us to check on us every month or so. It said nothing about personaI medical records. I never signed up so I dont' know what they do.
Personally, I would not sign anything that gives the company permission to have your personal medical records or to share it with whomever they feel like sharing it with.
Are you certain this is from the drug company. Maybe it is some sort of scam.
my girlfriend was supposed to put in her new nuvaring on sunday night but was a day late and didn't put it in till monday. it says on the directions if this happens you should use backup protection for 7 days. we didn't wait 7 days and had unprotected sex on friday night (day 9 of cycle) and no withdrawal method was used. she refused to take plan b because she claimed she couldn't get pregnant. im freaking out now....what are the chances she got pregnant?
Ok so I took a hpt last night and it was negative. I took another one this morning and it had a really light line. So I'm gonna try to get blood work done Monday to confirm if its a yes or no. I hate waiting lol.
I was taking Ortho Tri Cyclen. that helped me.. then they switched me to the patch. I did not like that one at all. then they put me on the Nuvaring. I didn't like that one either because sometimes it would fall out or not fall out it would move and I could feel it and I have to go to the bathroom and fix it. so I would say Ortho Tri Cyclen. but everybody has their own opinions.
I was prescribed NuvaRing on Sept 20th and put it in same day around 12pm. I just had unprotected sex with ejaculation inside last night on thursday sept 28th at approx. 1am. i had it in for the 7 days and now i'm scared I might become pregnant because I am afraid we did not wait long enough. Does anyone know if I could become pregnant or when the NuvaRing becomes effective? I've read online to wait 7 days and we did but we cut it very close.
I just decided to get on birth control & my Dr. has put me on Nuvaring. I was using condoms before & just got tired of them. I have now been using Nuvaring for a little over a week now, & am currently not taking any other drugs (just on the ring). Everything has been fine until today... I am now experiencing chest pain. I do not have a family history of any blood clotting issues, but I am concerned because I have read some of the horror stories on-line.
When you first start the Nuva Ring, you can either start it on your first day of your menstrual cycle, or your 5th day on your menstrual cycle. If you start it on the first day of your menstrual cycle, you will be safe immediately, provided you dont have sex during your cycle. If you start the Ring on the 5th day of your cycle, then you have to wait 1 week until you are completely covered.
Once you start your birth control, you keep the ring inside of your vagina for 3 weeks straight.
I have been on the Nuvaring for 5 years. Everything has been normal until a couple weeks ago.
A few months ago I had a light period for 1 day, it stopped and 24 hours later started again. The next month I had a light 3 day period. This month I am late. I am suposed to put the ring in tonight but I havent started by period yet. I took a home pregnancy test todag and it was negative.
Can the Nuvaring stop periods even when I take it out for a week?
Also, I only have one ovary.
I have issues with the pill also but not because of bleeding, I get sick on it, 24/7. I use nuvaring. Its a ring that is inserted vaginally and the hormones are released there. you leave it in for 3 weeks, out for one, then get a new one for the next 3 weeks etc. Maybe try that.
As fro your current situation... it really depends. Do you aready have kids? If so did you conceive right away? If so you might but because of your age, you woudlnt have quite a high chance.

I have started to experience a lot of pain during sex. I started on Nuvaring three months ago. After the first week I got my first UTI. I was told that it was not related to the Ring. Other than the UTI everything was fine and sex was a good as it had always been. 4 weeks later I had my first yeast infection also told that it was not related to the Ring. Following a week of treatment for the yeast infection I attempted to have sex and it was so painful that we had to stop.
(5) this patient needs to have had some STD that in communicable by fluid contact (6) the virus and or bacteria from this STD needs to survive long enough on an unliving surface for you to pick it up. (7) you need to you that hand to adjust your nuvaring. (8) their needed to be enough "friction" from you adjusting your nuvaring to cause small breaks and allow the virus into your blood stream.
So I had my birth control that was placed in my arm 2 years ago removed 2 weeks ago today. I was placed on the nuvaring in which I inserted the day I had my other birth control removed. I had unprotected sex with my husband three days after insertion. I am cramping and having breast tenderness. Is there a chance of pregnancy? Do you know if anyone that has gotten pregnant while switching over to the nuvaring?
