The amount of Zyrtec I was told to give to Akira is only 1/4 of the adult human dosage. This is much smaller than the children's dosage, which is 1/2 of the adult human dosage. I would never ever give medications to Akira without her first seeing her doctor. I do know that no one should ever give Tylenol to their pets. Tylenol is definitely toxic to both dogs and cats. In fact, some of us humans can't even take the stuff.
There are lots of other life style opions as well - keeping doors and windows closed, showering and changing clothes when she comes in and before bed, allergy proof cases for mattress, boxsprings and pillows, keeping pets out of the bedroom and eliminating as many dust collectors from the bedroom as possible (blinds, drapery, upholstered furniture, plants...). Also, keeping the bathroom mold free is very helpful.

ok so for the past week every morning when I wake up my feet start itching, then the back of my calves itch. I usually spot a couple of small bumps which then spread all over my legs and turn into hives. Around my knees the hives are clustered and raised and flat. And on my thighs my skin becomes discolored and there are white splotches everywhere with a hive in the middle. I'll usually take a benadryl and it'll go away, but I'm sick of taking it.
t been exposed to anything new, no new pets, no new soaps, detergents, etc. I have a referral for an allergist but the soonest appointment I could get is over 2 weeks away!

*Has anyone had anything similar?
*It was just suggested I take Zyrtec and Allegra together in the morning. Does anyone else do this? Is this safe?
*I am extremely careful not to itch but this is still leaving me with more and more scars because the rash is so bad! Any advice on how to avoid scaring?
I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
Please help!!!! I have been suffering with my throat for over a year now, have been to numerous doctors, had several tests, tried several medications (including prescription, over-the- counter, and herbal remedies), literally spent hundreds of dollars and nothing has helped and no one can tell me what's wrong!!! It started over a year ago with a feeling like I have something stuck in my throat. I also started spitting up white foamy stuff several times a day ( see picture).
they said iam allergic to dust, mould and animal dander. i was also tested for asthma and they said i have it but not enough for a puffer. so now im having really bad allergic reaction where my eyes swell and get all red and itchy, my nose is totally stuffed up, and now i feel like in the middle of my chest i weeze. this has been happening for like a week now...but the chest thing jus started yesterday. when i take claritin it all goes away except for the chest weezing.
t really work for me anymore and claritin and zyrtec are effective for only half the day. I took 2 tablets one day (about 4 hrs apart) and became very drowsy and felt like I was in a fog the whole day. My nose had a bad reaction to the nasal spray the one time I tried it - it became very congested and I was sneezing for an hour. I have been taking Singulair (prescribed by my PMD) for the past week and it has helped a little but not as much as I expected (Still congested at night).
I forgot to mention that in my house a lot of people who come over sneeze and my boyfriends daughter who comes over every second weekend is also constantly sick with fever, upset stomach and she does have asthma and we do have 2 pets so I don't know if there is a relation?
I am a 29 yr old female who has had a headache everyday for 182 days now and I am at my wits end. I wake up every morning with a tension headache (a dull constant pain between the temples and around the forehead area) that feels like a 4 out of 10 on the pain scale and stays with me all day and all night. I also wake up with really dry eyes and somewhat dry lips (but not a dry mouth). Recently in the last two weeks I have also woken up with neck and upper back pain that stays with me all day.
I'm going to answer this similar to how I answered another question. Get yourself tested by your doctor or have them refer you to an allergist to get tested for what you are allergic to. My favorite over the counter medication for allergies is Zyrtec, I don't have any reactions to it whatsoever and it works faster than Claritin does for me.
Should we try the Zyrtec? I am scared that this is only going to get worse and I feel so sorry for her. Whenever her lip swells people talk about her. I had been giving her Benadryl when the lips swell but is that really helping her since it is not truly an allergy? I have a friend that says she has the same thing and she takes Zyrtec and Pepcid at night, she says it is the combination of the 2 drugs, and then when her lip swells she has to take Prednisone.

Flonase is a bit different. I assume you were also buying that over the counter? This too is generally regarded as safe but is recommended to only be used 2 months out of the year unless your doctor has said otherwise. It's a nasal steroid. So, instead of using them continuously, you can take them intermittently or keep changing the antihistamines. You can try immunotherapy for dust mites. For the dog allergy, you can try certain preventive measures to reduce the episodes of allergic rash. Try restricting the dogs access to certain areas of the household and use of air filters and with frequent and proper housecleaning, and furnishings less likely to harbor allergens.

I love pit bulls and for the most part they are great dogs with kids, but when they make you nervous about your kids, its best to get rid of them instead of waiting to see if he will harm your baby. I had two pit bulls and one was the sweetest thing you had ever seen. He only got mean when someone was being violent in front of him or he didn't know you. He loved kids and other dogs. The other one was horribly mean. She hated everyone except for me. And hated other animals.
