zyrtec and amoxicillin

I had protected sex about two and a half months back, I'm having on and off symptoms. 1. Low grade fever (Food poisoning) Happens once. 2. Rash, Looks like Hives (I've never had Hives before) 3. Diarrhea, happens after I took medication? (Amoxicillin) 4. Inflame Tonsils (Mild pain, no coughing) These symptoms doesn't come all at once. The rash happens out of nowhere and it's freaking me out, I took zyrtec and it took care of it.

I ended up needing an antibiotic to kick the sinus infection (amoxicillin). Call you doctor up and talk to the nurse. She will give you the thumbs up if you are feeling nervous on anything.

Dr said I have to suffer through it with no meds. I went to the health food store and got some homeopathic remedies which seem to be slowly working. Eat close to the earth, rest often and think positive loving thoughts. Babbitt will b fine.

I should add I think they started at work a few hours after I wore the pad, because I was sitting and noticed my ankles were incredibly itchy and had raised bumped. I haven't had hives since before high school. Also, I started taking amoxicillin about two weeks ago for an ear infection. I have since finished those pills, but I mention this because when I was a kid, I was told I was allergic to the dye in the liquid amoxicillin (banana medicine). I got hives, apparently, when I took it.

I woke up Thursday morning and my eyes were swollen shut. I started taking some Zyrtec and Benedryl, it helped a little and the swelling went down maybe by 50%. This morning I woke up and the swelling was worse than Thursday morning. I have only had this happen once before in my life. (when I was in Vegas) The doctor told me it was because of the dry air there. That episode only lasted one day. This seems to lasting forever. What can I do???

3rd dr after looking at my throat said I did not have oral thrush I have tried to scrape these patches off but they are adhered firmly to my mouth. The week before I had oral sex I had been to the dentist and was feeling bad so took amoxicillin then got to filling better and quit taking it. Also I started using a mouth wash which I have never used before. Now I am on sudafed, Zyrtec nasal spray and since I told my dr I had tested positive for yeast I'm on fluconazole for 14 days.

If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono? Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage. I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst. Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?

I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good? Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD. My question is, can you tell me what if any STD the Amoxicillin would cure if I did contract one from my friend?

My doctor was OK with me taking zyrtec. You just have to make sure to drink lots and lots of water.

It seems like Akira has seasonal allergies and dust allergies in addition to her food allergies. Because I really don't want to give her long term steroids, I decided to only give her the 1/4 tablet of Zyrtec that the vet told me to give her before. I try to wait 'til I just have to give it to her, because I know that people can build up a tolerance to antihistamines, so I figure that animals can, too.

Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.

I am trying to get my daughter to take Amoxicillin for a throat infection. She won't swallow the capsule. Is it ok to break the pink and blue A45 Amoxicillin capsule in half and mix it in applesauce?

This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth. Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary. If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

The doctor said my throat didnt look bad and the strep test was negative so he gave me some amoxicillin for 10 days twice a day and told me to only take it if I didnt get better within a few days. Later on that night I started getting really sick. I had chills and felt nasous and my throat got a lot worse. I eventally started running a fever almost 101 with reoccuring chills.

10mg every day for the first five days and then every other day for the next five, in addition he gets a generic Zyrtec everyday. Now he just gets a zyrtec every day, and if his allergies act up beyond the zyrtec's control, like this time of year ,he gets a prednisone per day for 3 or 4 days and then every other day for two or until things calm down. Had been on Augmentin for a sinus infection, just finishing up the script, and take Crestor, Nexium, and Zyrtec on a regular basis. Symptoms started a few days after starting generic Zyrtec, which also caused unbelievable dryness that felt like I was dehydrated (no vomiting, though).
