Daily dosing of Zyrtec can cause ear/sinus infections. I get sinus infections every time I have to take it for more than 5-6 days in a row for unknown reasons. Try actual Sudafed (the kind you have to sign for through the pharmacy) not the PE crap on the shelf. There is no better allergy medication than that. Hands down!
I have a 13 month old who has had a runny nose for the past 12 months. When he came home from the hospital he seemed to be congested and at 26 days old he was put in the hospital due to a fever and at that age they immediatly check 4 meninjitis test came back neg. . He seems to be at his peds. every month for his runny nose he doesn't suffer from ear infections his lungs are always clear and we are told he's fine and is to young for allergies.
My pulse in the right ear only occurs when I am at home. I have tried turning off all power and other devices and it still pulses. What else could be the cause? This is new and has never happened before this.
About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.
If you are concerned, you should see a doctor. If it is fluid in your ear, he may give you a prescription for an antihistamine, Meclizine, antibiotics if it is an infection, and possibly a water pill for the fluid. the diarrhea could be caused by a number of things. Went trough rehab, finished rehab good. About that time we found I had and inner ear problem. Dr. put me on Zyrtec and flonase . The Zyrtec about sent me over the edge. We stopped that.They than put me on citalopram an anti depres and Apprazolam. After two weeks we decied I was having side affects from citalopram. They took 12 days to work me off citalopram. By the way about that time I finally got in to see and ENT doctor.
ve been popping IB Profin like crazy b/c my head feels so full all day at work.....I saw the doctor and he took an xray for a sinus infection which I did not have but he said he noticed thinkening around my sinuses which is usually do to allergies, he told me to keep taking my Zyrtec and gave me a prescription for a nasal spray.....I dont feel any different yet....
On one flight to the UK I took Claritin-D and it help me, stayed in the UK for about 3 months then on the way back home I did the exact same thing, I took Claritin-D and the last flight that connected back home was the killer, I still had pain on my left ear and ended up with another ear infection. But which was weird though cause the flight to the UK I had no problems, just that one flight back home that was an hour long killed it.
Other conditions to be strongly ruled out could be cervical spinal nerve compression, Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too. At times back and neck problems may persist for years before they really start giving trouble. Chances of TMJ too should be looked into.
For the past month, I've had a constant popping/clicking sound in my left ear. It happens when I swallow and is pretty loud. I went to the ENT and he looked at my sinuses and did a pressure test but everything seemed normal except i was a little swollen. He also cleaned my ears out, which ultimately didn't help the problem. I don't know if maybe it is a problem with my Eustachian tube or muscles/tendons/bones. I tried Zyrtec and Sudafed but it didn't help.
