zyprexa

Ever since i started my zyprexa[antipshychotic] and celexa. effexor[antidepressants] my sex drive and errectionsare weak. is there anything i can take or do to help this?
I have similiar problems - i have no sex drive and my erections are weak. I am on zyprexa, celexa, and effexor[antiphsychotic, antidepressents]. Is there anything i can take to improve and return my sexual desires?
Hiccups These are all listed as side effects of Zyprexa. Also, methamphetamine abuse. Before he told me he was on zyprexa, I was certain he was on meth. I consulted with the local drug rehab facility and described the above, and they sounded certain it was meth. But after I confronted him about a "drug problem," he sent me an e-mail saying he has been "trying to get off zyprexa for a few weeks." Questions, comments? Thanks.
old and found that my testosterone levels were very low. The injections give me more energy, less fatigue, stronger libido, and a better sense of wellbeing. I am not saying that I don't have depressive periods at times (more than just the blues) but I really feel that MDs. should prescribe more testosterone for patients like myself even though it is a "STEROID" You can google Dr. E Barry Gordon and go to his site...thehiddendisease.
Hi, How are you? Zyprexa normally does not cause hallucinations although it can cause disorientation and insomnia. Withdrawal from Zyprexa however can cause hallucinations. I would suggest you to discuss this with your treating doctor. Take care!
I am currently 26 and just about impotent, i can still get it up but it takes quite a bit of coaxing, i feel blessed that i can get it up at all after years of risperdal depakote seroquel and now im currently on zyprexa, i think shrinks are the biggest quacks and think you should check out this site http://www.stopshrinks.
It will help my pdoc and myself greatly. Could you also add the medication Zyprexa to the list of treatments as this is the anti-psychotic I use.
At 75 mg I am mostly gettin serontonin effects. No libido, not caring much about my appearance, and weight gain. I swore when I lost the 70 lbs that I would never gain it again, but thanks to Effexor I've been prven wrong. I am weaning myself off and have started Wellbutrin XL up to 300mg now. I agree with the withdrawal symptoms. It's almost as if the manufacturer doesn't want us to stop it (more money for them!!) Good luck to everyone.
I tried Zoloft and was on that for about a year, and that helped a lot. My only problem was that I had little to no libido, and it would make me sick sometimes. But then I weaned off of it with no problems and was med free for about 7 months. Then my anxiety/panic came back and I was put on Effexor XR. I have been on it since April, and so far it seems to be helping a lot. And i haven't had ANY side effects with it. So it just depends on the person and what kind of meds you can handle, if any.
Because of the weight gain and the sexual dysfunction, I went off both meds and am now on wellbutrin and depakote. I am heterosexual but do not have a partner in my life right now. But on the paxil, I could not even masturbate to orgasm - I had no sensation of pleasure in the act whatsoever, and gradually, lost my libido as well.
Having said all this Seroquel has been the most effective drug for me and I have been on Lithium, Sulpiride, Rispiridone, Zyprexa ( huge weight gain and flatness) and various other anti d's. Venlafaxine had me in hospital for a day as I had a kind of fit? horrible!! I don't know about Cymbalta what is its other name?
You have way too much libido and end up having inappropriate sexual partners. Mania and hypomania usually feel good. You are on top of the world and you don't want to come down (although there is an agitated form which is nasty and miserable. Not everyone gets the euphoria). That is what is dangerous because what comes up, usually comes down and before medication I would have severe depressions.
and I'm taking less Xanax and having less anxiety attacks since I've being doing the Zyprexa. The only other medicine I'm on at the time is the 80mg of Inderal LA (Propranolol SA). My heart has been feeling better too.... No chest pains or palpitations. I'm thinking more clearly and I even have a little bit of libido. Garsh! All seven of my personalities got along real good today. I've felt like **** for so long I'm almost afraid to start feeling better--like I don't deserve it.
I am a Bipolar Type 1, Mixed, rapid cycler also and had chronic insonia also. zyprexa [anti-pshychotic] helps me fall to sleep at night.
I am 18 and I have been diagnosed with anxity and I have been having this problem with my throat. I feel as though I have to force my self to swallow and I'm scard I'm not going to be able to swallow. is there a such thing of not being able to swallow? is this all in my head? i also get nots in my throat. please help me!
Many women don't realize that an imbalance of these hormones can lead to the entire range of symptoms associated with PMS and menopause! Vitex usually has the effect of enhancing progesterone and decreasing estrogen levels. Vitex itself has none of the hormonal building blocks that many of the medicinal plants used for the reproductive system contain. Instead, this herb nourishes and supports the endocrine system to find its own balance.
Everyone is different though and different meds will work for some and not for others.I take a combo of celexa/zyprexa as I am bi polar and it works great for me let me know what you decide. If you are Uncomfortable with the thought of well butrin talk to your doc and see if maybe another would work just as well for you.Alot of docs have a flavor of the month they like to prescribe. You are wise to find out all you can about the meds.
Anti-cholinergic effects from both medications interacting (those cause dry mouth and blurred vision but affect all areas of the body) could cause other problems that would make sex difficult and/or painful.
Previously, I was taking Depakote and Zyprexa (and have been off them for approximately two weeks). Thank you for your attention to this post. --Matt ======== Dear Matt, This is a continuation of my previous posting We here at the Cleveland Clinic has a world class Epilepsy Center, and if you would like to get a second opinion regarding the diagnosis of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, and you live near OH please don't hesitate to call for more information.

I was hospitalized once for weakness and dizziness resulting in me falling down. Some tests done include: MRI, CT scan, 3 thyroid tests, some tests on my heart, blood pressure and 5 vials of blood for other blood work. I went to see a neurologist as well. Nothing has shown up. My doctor has given me no other course of action or diagnosis. Blurred vision and head pressure seem very related. Both are better upon waking for about 5 minutes (longer if I do not stand up).
I hear so many issues of people trying all kinds of mood stabilizers (Seroquil, Depakote, Zyprexa, Geodon) and hearing all of their complaints. Maybe Lexapro would work instead of Zoloft or Celexa since it seems to work on anxiety more and is a cleaner version of Celexa. Maybe Lexapro won't make me so jittery. Celexa did work better than the other SSRIs for me, just jittery and Lexapro is the newer version. And, do I have just depression/anxiety, or do I have a mood disorder?!
different meds will work for different people.I take celexa/zyprexa for bi polar and it works great but it might not work for you.I went therough lots of meds before I got on this combo. So you have to find what works for you. be open and honest with your doc and tell them all your concerns there are lots of good meds out there. you just have to find the one that is best for you.
So, here I am 7 years later and still on a small amount of Estrogen via the patch, Progesterone via cream from a Compounding pharmacy, and a small amount of Testosterone (for muscle tone, libido, mental clarity, chemical sensitivity, and believe it or not, Clumsiness!). My weight is a struggle but has been manageable all these years with healthful eating and consistent aerobic/wt. training workouts that I do in my basement. But, a ruptured disk caused many problems including a wt.
I am on Paxil and Zyprexa for OCD, Panic Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. I also have body image issues and the Paxail and Zyprexa sure doesn't help (although it helps with my other symptoms) Without meds, I am unable to function. However, I too am experiencing weight gain which is causing a lot of panic issues. I eat right, exercise all the time, and I cannot lose weight, only gain. I'm scared. Is this weight gain going to continue? What other medications can I try?
how safe is lamictal (I am aware of the rash associated with the drug)? Currently I take no medication (except Claritin). Previously, I was taking Depakote and Zyprexa (and have been off them for approximately two weeks). Thank you for your attention to this post. --Matt Dear Matt, thanks for your question, The short answer to the first question is YES. Psychiatric symptoms can mimic temporal lobe epilepsy, but not very common.
I had been taking Levlen for about 2-3 months and noticed almost immediately that I felt anxious, excessively and irrationally moody, paranoid, tired, depressed, having unpleasant and unwelcome mental visions, and had some sexual and libido issues. I was in a relationship at the time and thought that my feelings were resulting from previous bad experiences (my ex cheated) and my current boyfriend triggering off old emotions.
I am on 225 mg since Aug 2005 and have gained at least 20 lbs and gone up 2 sizes, I am sick about this and am tapering down as we speak!!
