Avatar f tn 5 months and was recently switched over from yaz to gianvi which is the generic brand of yaz. I had no choice. I had my period around the end of the month and into the beginning of this month like normal. I started spotting around 2 weeks before my next period and its lasted about a week now. Its a brown discharge like color sometimes with little red blood and very small clots. I have tiny cramps sometimes. Is this normal? Why is this happening?
Avatar m tn My doctor also had put me on Gianvi as a birth control and it worked awesome everything was finally regular until my drugstore had changed my birthcontrol to larnya which is another version of Gianvi but halfway through the month I started to bleed I thought it was breakthrough bleeding so my doctor put me on Beyaz and told me to take 2 a day until the bleeding stopped and then the next month they will put me back on Gianvi or on Yaz (which is technically still the same thing)She also said I c
Avatar f tn Yasmine has a higher level of ethinyl estradiol (10ug more than Yaz) . Gianvi is the same formulation as Yaz, execept in generics fillers are different. Ocella is supposed to be the same as Yasmine, but fillers are diferrent and I reacted differently on ocella. Yaz has 24 pils and Yasmine 21. Yaz is supposed to take care of the PMDD symtoms better. 10.
Avatar f tn Hello, last month instead of my period I experienced brownish spotting--it started a day before my period usually begins (though it has started a day early before), and only lasted 2-3 days at most. It only appeared when I wiped. It seemed odd but I assumed it was just a light period (no pain or anything unusual like that). This month, my period is late--only by 2 days, but in light of the weird period from last month I took more notice.
Avatar f tn ve never taken my gianvi (generic form of yaz) on time. I had sex every Sunday since the beginning of the month including just this past Sunday and then I misplaced my bc pack so I hvent been taking birth control at all since Sunday. Your and my chances of conceiving pretty much all depend on when we ovulate. I also start ny new pack every 4th Tuesday. So I either just ovulated or still am which means my chances are probably higher. Most people ovulate 14 days after their period.
Avatar f tn I was on Lo Lo Estren and it was perfect but insurance wanted a generic so I was given a generic for Yaz. Now I am losing my mind! I am super anxious all the time and suddenly jealous of every woman that my husband works with. I obsess over silly things that I would never worry about before. I am switching back ASAP but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this with Yaz as well. I don't know how long I can take this until the pill is out of my system!
Avatar f tn i had a little for the first time before my last period and then now i havent had my period for a week and a half and i got the the same thing but more now im on the generic version of yaz and it says there could be spotting is that blood with regular discharge or and infection? should i be worried?
Avatar n tn i would rather go on yazmin but from reading all the reviews on yaz im now rethinkin my decision but to be totaly honest i just want my breasts to grow from a 32A!!
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had yeast related complications from Yaz or its generic forms? (i.e. Loryna) I've been suffering from persistent yeast that correlated with my switching to Loryna and I wonder if the two could be related.
Avatar m tn So, I am 21 and pregnant with my first child. I think I'm some where between 8-10 weeks(find out for sure tomorrow). I was taking the lo lestrogen pill for birth control, had a feeling something wasn't right....intense cramping, weird spotting, sore breasts,an obvious change in the way I was dreaming, etc. A friend suggested I take a pregnancy test and much to my surprise, it came out positive! To get to the real question, which birth control should I switch to after my baby is born?
Avatar f tn I'm 19 and have been taking birth control pills (a generic version of Yaz) for several years for acne. It's worked well, and I rarely get breakouts. However, I recently became sexually active and it's sometimes a pain remembering to take them at the same time daily. I've been looking into more longtemr birth control solutions.
Avatar f tn My vagina will also get really dry and my wax lady has told me twice that my vaginal skin is really thin. I was on gianvi perscribed for my horrible cramps that i get. Avatar n tn I’m not sure if Kaiser is yanking my chain and just wanting me to take a generic BCP, the only thing I can find is a study published recently in the British Medical Journal. But I thought I would ask, is anyone that has PCOS symptoms (high testosterone, insulin resistance) and on BCP on any other BCP besides Yasmin, and does it control PCOS symptoms? Have you seen any side effects?
Avatar f tn My doctor has recently placed me on a Yaz treatment method for 6 months to treat nonclassical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Any thoughts on this treatment method? So far the Yaz is ridiculous. I'm experiencing every common side effect but vomiting (then again I'm only on day 5). Any feedback would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I researched Mylan pharmaceutical and the reviews were very poor. I also read the reviews of people who had been switched to this generic and people were really suffering. I told my doctor I would not take it. Her mistake was not looking into it to see why I was switched. If your doctor does not put on your prescription to give you only your name brand, the pharmacy will automatically switch you to the generic. But know that you do have the choice to ask to not be given a generic.
Avatar m tn So long story short, my father's job doesn't support our health insurance anymore. I currently have a job at a temp agency and they don't provide health insurance either. My prescription for the newest asthma inhaler from my doctor now costs me $184 for one dose. I've taken Foradil and Advair before and they both work, so I started looking up affordable brands online. A website says that they sell about a year's supply of generic Foradil prescription.
Avatar m tn I am 21 years old and I recently started using Yaz, the oral contraceptive, for my birth control. I have been using it for a month and 3 weeks, and during this time I have had the worst acne I have ever seen. I have several huge zits that appear around my chin/mouth. A new one forms almost everyday and it is out of control. They are deep and painful, not to mention that I look like a monster. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this.
Avatar f tn Hi, my partner has anxiety/depression and the lexapro generic he is currently taking is not helping. Hes been on it since before i met him but its not helping. I need somewhere in orlando to take him but dot know where to start as weve just moved to the area. I dont know what to do.. He needs his meds changing..
Avatar f tn I am currently on Ocella (generic for Yasmin), I have been on it for almost a month, I start the inactive pills tomorrow night. Before I took Ocella, I was taking Yaz(and I switched immediatly). My last period lasted for 3-4 days. I should start my period on March 11th. Yesterday I had light pinkish/red blood when I wiped and some cramping and now I am having light brown discharge that is odorless. I have not missed any pills, and I do have unprotected sex.
17396631 tn?1456315815 My gynecologist put me on Ventura birth control pills (generic form of Yaz) with the intent to stop my periods because they caused me extremely painful cramps and depression. I've been taking them exactly as directed for the past three months. Every morning between 7am and 7:30am, never skipping a day, and starting a new pack instead of taking the placebo pills. For some reason I had two full-length, excruciatingly painful periods that were only two days apart.
3136949 tn?1369524705 Iv been reading reviews and looking at different dopplers im pretty sure im gonna order the sonoline B the pink one.... but my question is what ultrasound gel is best the generic comes with it free but they off a aquasonic gel for 5$ extra does anyone know the different???
Avatar n tn Second-- Yaz. Started taking it right after ortho-novum, worked great for first few months. Everything felt fine, until I began developing daily headaches and later had such depressing mood swings, I didn't know who I was. I was described as "a new person." Made things I love in life very miserable, and stopped taking it altogether at the end of March.
Avatar f tn I am starting a new birth control...I was on Yaz, but it had me feeling extra odd. I am now on Microgestin 1/20 Fe generic version of Loestrin. Anyway what does anyone know about this? Any major side effects I should be worried about...I was reading that it causes bigger breast, weight gain, and low sex drive...is that true for anyone else who has taken it?
