depo-provera

Avatar f tn I have been having unprotected sex and I am 3 days late on my period. I have no clue what is going on. My questions is has anyone taken this and had this problem?
Avatar m tn there are birth controls out there that give u a period only 4 times a year so if what your saying is true this med would be band and thousands of women would have cancer.this is not true in most cases best of luck to you!
20811884 tn?1518850098 In addition, I have Epilepsy Seizures, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Stomach Ulcer, and Acid Reflux. I am 40 and just need some questions answered. Is it normal for the MedroxyProgesterone pills to literally flush out my uterus in order for me to have regular periods? Is changing my pad every 3 to 4 hours normal? Is it natural that when I stand up blood is supposed to come out as leakage or clots? Any answers to my questions are greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn so taking this medication is just helping me to have a period if i ask my doctor for Clomid that will help me to what other things do you recomand for me
Avatar f tn Hi EAFarm, I recommend googling the name of this medication and see if you can find out what the possible side effects of this drug are and see if there is any mention of an association with breast cancer. I found a helpful site for looking up side effects of various drugs is www.rxlist.com .
777396 tn?1329787551 Hi, how are you? I have had one doctor tell me that I did have PCOS and another tell me that I don't...I honestly think that I do. What is funny though is the doctor who told me I don't is the one who gave me a never ending supply of the medroxyprogesterone. I have to take it every month. Are your periods just kind of irregular? At this point I actually don't get one at all unless I take the provera "medroxyprogesterone".
Avatar f tn s not pregnancy) or do I have a few days left before AF is due to show. Like what is the general time frame after you take you last pill of Provera/Medroxyprogesterone. Also has Metformin and Provera worked for anyone without having the other things as well. Also what do I expect if have to get to the shot phase. I've been on clomid before and it worked for me, but is this something that i should ask for right away or follow the outline that my RE has for me?
Avatar f tn ve then decided to stop actively trying to conceive for now, but recently I am starting to think about trying again. Will continuing to take medroxyprogesterone help or hurt my chances of getting pregnant? Is there something else more effective that will regulate my periods without preventing pregnancy? More information is that I was on birth control for about 8 years and have been taking medroxyprogesterone for about a year now. I take 2 pills per day for the first 15 days of every month.
Avatar f tn It’s always been irreagular so my doctor prescribed MedroxyProgesterone. I have never had an issue with this medication. Till this month I took 20mg for 10days . July 4th-13. It’s been 13 days and nothing . I did call my doctor she said take a hpt, came back negative, I called and let her know so she said okay try again next week and than call me back with what the hpt says. I honestly have always thought I couldn’t have kids I don’t want to get my hopes up. But can anyone else gone thru this?
Avatar n tn I haven't had period since Sept 28 so my Dr put me on medroxyprogesterone 10 days 10mg, but my period came down on day 4. should i continue to finish medroxyprogesterone so should i take metformin???
Avatar f tn Me and my fiance have been ttc for 3+ years now. I was prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. I started taking this medicine on the first of March and had a regular cycle on the 19. I didn't take the medicine in April due to me being on antibiotics. I didn't have a period in April and haven't had one so far in May. I'm usually regular with my cycles being off a few days. I've never missed a whole month except for my pregnancy with my daughter.
873692 tn?1337275733 prescribed it i guess its okay. do more research online about it first. sometimes its good to have a sec opinion.
Avatar m tn I'm 45 years old and am severely anemic due to gastric bypass surgery. I found out I also had fibroids in recent years. Which were making my periods horrible. I went thru uterine artery emboluzation abt a year ago and it worked well for abt nine months but now it's slowly outta whack agn. So my gynecologist put me on provera/ medroxyprogesterone 10 mg which I take every day. She put me on it to stop my periods so I don't lose anymore iron.
Avatar f tn got prescribed medroxyprogesterone 10mg to stop my bleeding of 2months. how long does it take to work? I been taking it for 3days and still heavy bleeding.
Avatar m tn One example is Medroxyprogesterone acetate, which is an antiandrogen. This is used in cases where men feel that they cannot control their sexual impulses. The Medroxyprogesterone acetate will control urges and also may diminish pre-occupation which should make it easier to practice self-control.
Avatar n tn During your normal cycle your progesterone raises right before your period and that drop in levels causes the period. The medroxyprogesterone is just like that normal rise and drop. I hope this helps!
Avatar n tn t actually, ever since I stopped taking the medicine. Again, no bleeding at all has occurred. I am getting worried on why that is. Anybody know what to do?
Avatar f tn I'm confused about your question. The medication you're talking about is a birth control shot also called Depo-Provera. This is not a pill that you would take for five days it is a shot you would get in your doctors office. This is a type of birth control, you need to get the shot every three months if you were trying to prevent a pregnancy. There is a delay in returning to fertility that may be between 3 and 18 months depending on the woman.
Avatar f tn I just took my first dose 10 mg of Provera to induce a period i skipped 4 months in a row..... I'm scared after reading others experiences with the medication anyone ever take it?
706727 tn?1229093232 6 days into taking it I started. Now it is none stop and the cramping is so bad that sometimes it hurts to sit and sometimes it hurts to walk. Has anyone else had these issues and do you have any advise?
Avatar n tn My doctor also had prescribed me medroxyprogesterone and I do not want to take it. I am not a big fan of taking any type of medication but doctor has suggested that I take it. I have even read things that not having period isn't that big of a deal. I also, am not planning on being pregnant and having kids. Is not having a period really that much of a concern?
Avatar f tn I am on Medroxyprogesterone. & i had un protected sex then i took a plan B pill & i am not 2days late with my perios.
