18511359 tn?1465467463 I felt my left eye becoming a bit weaker and uncomfortable. I also have double vision with the right eye after sitting in front of the computer for so long. I absolutely cannot cope with this worsening sensation of my eye. The doctor whom I consulted recommended me to do the Lasik eye surgery from Evergreen eye center in Washington, where we live. Has anybody here done this procedure? What is the cost? Please help.
Avatar m tn No other doctor ever really mentioned it except one a couple of years ago that gave me prisms in my eye-glasses for it but that just caused double-vision. Another optometrist, after the prisms, gave me eye-glasses without them stating my brain was ignoring the bad eye and they wouldn't work together anyway so why spend the extra money. I am wondering, at age 32, if I am beyond help with it other than surgery which my insurance will not cover.
7180176 tn?1408434281 I live in Washington and I don't have insurance yet. But I need an ultrasound soon. I don't know where or how much they cost. Help please.
Avatar f tn Never heard of your insurance. But you can call them and ask.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
518031 tn?1295575374 WAMU is Washington Mutual Bank. They have those great commercials with the guy talking to all the corporate suits grouped in a corral/pen? We haven't quite reached the economic crisis of 1929. We've got an erosion of confidence over here and large institutions are going under...but we haven't gotten the run on the banks, markets, etc... that would cause a sudden collapse of the economy...yet. That's why this buyout is crucial.
Avatar n tn I have glaucoma and am developing cataracts that is majorly changing my vision.for the worse. I also have high myopia. My current ophthalmologist who has been treating me for glaucoma the past few years is now recommending sugery to help control my glaucoma. He feels medication is not doing enough. He does the sugery, but, in my case, is referring me to a specialist.

Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Avatar f tn That means no copays, deductibles or coinsurance for people whose health insurance plans are covered by the new requirements. The Obama administration estimates that 41 million Americans will benefit initially, with the number projected to rise to 88 million by 2013. Many large company plans, which usually offer solid preventive benefits, will be exempt from the requirements for the time being.
4290259 tn?1352278570 Hi Ladawn, You should check out your WA state's high risk pool health insurance plan. Here's their website: https://www.wship.org/ and here's their number: 1-800-877-5187. It's basically insurance for people with pre-existing conditions or who've been denied insurance. Your dad may also qualify for federal high risk health insurance plan. Explore the website to see what option is the best for him.
521840 tn?1348840771 Many people call or write me asking how they can find treatment if they do not have insurance or can not pay their deductibles. It is extremely frustrating to need help and not be able to afford it, even if you have insurance. It is sad that many insurance companies do not cover psychological and psychiatric services to the extent that all of their subscribers can access care. Unfortunately, many psychologists can no longer afford to participate with insurance companies or Medicaid/Medicare.
624225 tn?1221762817 a young active 50 It is causing me double vision and my eyes (and entire being) are worn out from the double vision and rapidly increasing blurriness due to aging I was found with hystoplasmosis only in my left eye 2 years ago. The immediate laser surgery was to close the open vessles in my retina that broke open possibly from the bacteria from bird dung. Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
649848 tn?1534633700 To the surprise and dismay of many liberals, the Senate health-care bill included a compromise with the conservative vision for insurance regulation. The relevant policy is in Section 1333, which allows the formation of interstate compacts. Under this provision, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Idaho (for instance) could agree to allow insurers based in any of those states to sell plans in all of them.
Avatar f tn Has your husband gone to the eye dr over this problem? Glaucoma causes pressure in the eye ball. It can blind you. You start losing side vision, until you finally lose sight. I would take him straight to an eye dr to have the pressure checked, and he can check for any lost vision. My dad had it and the pressure got too bad and he lost his eye. It is a very serious situation. I am a suspect and have regular check ups for it. Hope this helps you out.
Avatar f tn I have gone through in patient treatment two separate times, once in Washington and once in California. Both treatment facilities were recommended by my Insurance and covered all addiction problems, which main focus was on alcoholics and the 12-step program.

Avatar f tn I've been reading a lot about insurance companies covering breast pumps and supplies. Does this also include Medicaid as well??
1282384 tn?1271431332 Now my left eye is acting up and I do not have any insurance since I got laid off over a year ago and have not been able to find work. I'm concerned about driving since my vision is so distorted in sunlight. I'm wondering how bad will my vision get and are there any options for me to get the surgery done without insurance...like payment plans or something?
