3106038 tn?1346813169 Im on my mothers insurance til im 26 or get married or get my own. Well it doesnt cover my baby at all not even the typical 30 days after hes born. So he has to go on Medi-Cal but they told me i cant apply for him until hes born, but the application process they said takes about 40 days to be accepted. So how is he supposed to get like checked, Its been really worrying me. And everytime i try and get it all sorted out im basically just told all the same stuff.
Avatar f tn t have insurance so he went to SD for dentist since it was the cheapest and we asked if they accept Iowa state insurance and they told us no. So there is a possibility your Dr office will accept MO state insurance but if they don't and you live in MO you may have to find a new dr if they wont acaccept your insurance and you cant afford out of pocket to pay.

4290259 tn?1352278570 I wish I knew more about how to help you. I think a good place to start would be with the finacial department of the hospital where he got his diagnosis, certainly they could better advise you. Aslo has he tried to apply for state aid? He may not be eligable for other benefits but with his current medical condition he is greatly in need of treatment and insurrance. I hope this will help. Take care.
4097344 tn?1349754756 In my state we have Charity Care for people who have no insurance. Also, the ER cannot refuse treatment to anyone, even if they are uninsured here. Like the previous post, check out Social Services in your state, and most hospitals have low cost clinics you can go to. Good Luck.

Avatar f tn WASHINGTON — The refusal by about half the states to expand Medicaid will leave millions of poor people ineligible for government-subsidized health insurance under President Obama’s health care law even as many others with higher incomes receive federal subsidies to buy insurance. Starting next month, the administration and its allies will conduct a nationwide campaign encouraging Americans to take advantage of new high-quality affordable insurance options.
