but the dry mouth and white coated tongue still continuing and feel very uncomfort with mouth and throat pain..I lost my weight, swollen gland on Neck which may due to throat pain as per doctor said..at the same time before 3months I did a mistake that is licking a lady nipple for few minutes..so I thought, am at the risk of HIV.so I took rapid test after 9weeks of possible exposure..but the test result came as negative..
I am eighteen and last night the left side of my neck (and the back of my tongue) went numb. It felt like a thick sort of paralysis, and though I was able to move, both lifting my head and swallowing was very hard.
Alternately it could be fungal infection causing whiteness. White tongue could also be due to poor mouth hygiene, stomach and liver problem or due to uneven teeth. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
I then noticed that the left side of the tip on my tongue sticks out farther than the right and that the right side of my tongue looks thicker than the left. I also noticed that my tongue, even at rest, seems to be sitting entirely off center in my month to the left. Should I be worried? I do have a follow up appointment with my neuro in a week for a follow up on migraines that I was having. But I'm a little anxious and thinking about trying to get an appointment this week.
Hi Ess, I did mention to my neuro in the early part (second visit with him), about my tongue and facial burning and numbness and he said that he thought it was migraine that was caused or coming from my cervical spine. When I had my visit with him a couple of weeks ago he mentioned the brainstem (he has never mentioned this before) and I was surprised he did and wish now I had asked him why he thought that. (Did my reflexes show that?
know some people may say the tongue and the stomach issues are not related, and for the life of me I can't find the information I was reading..It had something with the scalloped tongue and stomach issues pretty much exactly what was going on with me...but I can't seem to track it down. Also more info I’m a fairly active 24 year old female. No allergies, no serious diseases....Just tired of what’s going on.
The loose stool seized and introduced nausea and bloating (no puking). I ran out of immodium and decided to use rolaids to calm my upset stomach since I couldnt get to the doctor over the weekend. Shortly after, I had burning in my stomach along with the upset stomach (very unbearable). My doctor prescribed Nexium. My question...this is my third day on Nexium and I still feel a little bloated with nausea periodically not as bad(I have also been under stress lately).
I woke up two days agin and my tongue was numb! I had a few other symptoms-such as my gums and teeth were achey.. The next day- the same numbness-mine feels like I burned it as well and it gets tingles also. I am also experiencing a slight blurr in my vision. This has been the second full day of these symptoms. Please suggest what I should do if I keep experiencing these symptoms.
Since I have had my question answered on this forum in the pass about cunninglus not being a risk my question revolves around that my tongue is senistive to some foods and also my stomach at times feels full. I am able to eat. It has been forty one days since contact and my doctor has told me that I would have by this time uncontrolable diarehea assuming I had HIV...which the direhea I do not have. But what about my stomach and tongue?
Hello, I had been having some stomach problems and a friend recommended I try organic apple cider vinegar to help. I was told to take a certain quantity but not told to dilute. About the fourth day into it, I burned my toungue. It still hurts about 3 weeks later (not severe but noticeable) . The mere fact this happened is silly but could I have done some serious damage?
It helped a little and I went home brushed my teeth and went to bed. When I woke up this morning I had this light black coating on my tongue and a little back on where my wisdom teeth are coming in (it almost looks like mold). When I brushed my tongue it came off pretty easy but I would still like to know what it is from or if it is even related to my upset stomach. I do not have medical insurance and when I called the hospital they were no help.

I wanted to get some feedback from what I have been going through -- First, I got a stomach flu (which me and my daughter had at the same time) we barfed for two days. Then, I got the flu three days later which last two weeks but while I had the flu I noticed a white patch on the side of my tongue. Three days later it disappeared. However, three weeks later I seen it had came back but the next day it was gone.
The liquid benadryl and maalox worked somewhat for me. swish and spit or swallow if your stomach is bothering you.
Stating the stomach acid could be a contributing factor to her early tooth loss, her tongue and mouth sores, and her weight. She is not bulimic and if anything just the opposite. Until the past few years she was upset that she couldn't gain weight. My suspicion with her tongue sore was always due to a vitamin defeciency and/or her upper denture plate. The ulcer is about quarter size.
I have not started treatment yet, but my tongue is swollen and feels like it is cracked. This will be my 3rd time to do treatment in the last 20 years, but I don't recall the sore tongue. Any input will be appreciated.
I have experienced orange tongue since December 2007. I saw the gastroenterologist and told me it was a yeast infection in my mouth. I was give nDiflucan for about a week. It seemed to go away but it came back as soon as finished this medication. Same the antibiotics. Later I learned that its not a yeast infection. But it definitely has to do with the stomach.
I have had a white tongue which one dr thought it was ohl and another thinks its thrush.I have been on thrush meds on and off and there has been no end to the matter.I have had 35 (including today) hiv tests including a dna pcr 25 days after my involvement with a girl of dodgy status. Any way the dr is convinced that my problem is not hiv.He believes i might have a genetic immune defect and has taken my blood to perform a full blood count.

most recently i've noticed white bumps on the side of my mouth near the back (one or two) that kind of come and go.. also my tongue has a thick yellow coating when i wake up and is thicker at the back and my taste buds seem swollen. i feel like im producing an above normal amount of saliva as well.. I used to smoke a lot of marijuana but quit about a month ago i still smoke the odd cigarette. I also had unprotected oral sex with a pretty questionable girl a few months ago..

Hello - I also have suffered with numb tongue, tinggling tongue, feeling like a rubberband was around it and at times slurring and noticing after many years that it felt swollen when i slurred. i have come to find out that it is a ph problem. ( ph changing when eating wrong foods) i also will notice dry eyes when waking up and or weepy eyes for about 1 hr upon waking. our ph balance starts in our mouth with saliva mixing with our food.
Then I was sent to an Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist. He did not have any answers either. He suggested that I use a tongue scraper and he prescribed an antimicrobial rinse. He said it's just something that I have to learn to live with. I still have an orange tongue though. It's been frustrating trying to figure out the cause of this ailment. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
I normaly have like a bad breath white stuff on it that i brush off my tongue, but this time it was black. The day before i had some hot chocolate and a dounut and some of the usual stuff, soda, tacos. A few hours before i went to bed i had heartburn. I've felt that before so i thought, maybe there isn't enough acid in my stomach to digest the food so i had some lemon juice. Then it kept hurting so i took some Peptobismal.
Not really sure where to put this, but I've been told that my 3 month HIV test was conclusive, and yet i'm not at ease. Can someone tell me what is going on with my tongue here please?!?! http://www.flickr.
Obviously, now that weeks more have passed, that's not the case. I kid not..my tongue stings all the time and it is so painful. I hate the litocain. It seems worse to not feel your mouth at all! I have 5 more weeks to go. Is there any chance this tongue thing will go away?
