My daughter had her 1st case of genital ulcers at 12 during a case of stomach flu/sore throat--basically very painful genital canker sores. Doctor of course prescribes herpes medicines--didn't work--but it spontaneously cleared in a week. Four years later she had the flu and laryngitis and it happened again. This time for 2 years she had a relapse 3 times a year-- when she was stressed and developed high fevers.

m not sure if i'm reading what you've said wrong, are you getting the ulcers, swollen glands and sore throat for a couple of weeks, then it goes away (on its own) for a few more, back again etc? I think anything thats new should be brought to the attention of your dr, it could be viral or even a drug, some drugs can cause ulcers for weeks after you've stopped taking it, that is if its a reaction to a drug.
It started with what seemed to be a cold or flu, but he has been getting worse. His throat has been very sore. A couple weeks ago a doctor gave him antibiotics without doing a test, the prescription was for 5 days, unfortunately he doesn't remember which antibiotic it was. His throat was still hurting and he said he could see pus, so I told him he should get tested for strep. He did, but, the results were worse than strep - his throat is infected with MRSA.
I have taken Priolosec in the mornings the last week and then bumped it up to AM and PM for the last two days. I have noticed less throat clearing but I still feel as though my throat is irritated. I don't have any lump or trouble swallowing (knocking on wood right now). My questions are: Does this sound like LPR? and if it is....can I recover from this and not have to take meds the rest of my life to control it? Oh gosh...I'm very scared.
It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
epigastric pain/pressure/fullness, the sensation of food or something being stuck in the esophagus/throat, belching, the sensation of being squeezed tightly by a rope or belt beneath the ribs/diaphragm, the inability at times to obtain a full breath, coughing. This has been going on for nearly 2-3 months and they are worsening. These are nearly the same symptoms I experienced while having gallbladder problems, except now there is no gallbladder! I do have an appt.
I went to my doctor and he said it was just some canker sores due to stress and physical trauma from my attempt to get rid of them with Q-tips and home remedies. Does this sound correct or could it be an STD? It's been a week since they appeared and they are completely healed, though I still have a small tonsil stone and red inflammation. Though, there is no pain.
Some people who have the habit of sleeping with their mouth open, have high chances of developing a dry throat. This is because they tend to breathe out of their mouths, and this could be caused a swollen uvula. People living in arid climates or dry conditions often experience dehydration due to low water intake. This may also cause uvula swelling, as when the body has a dearth of water, the uvula is forced to soak in saliva.
I believe in natural remedies myself. Nux Vomica, a health food supplement can even cure ulcers! 4 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera juice in a glass of water first thing in the morning is also a good remedy for heartburn/GERD. I take the apple cider vinegar also, but it doesn't stop my pain completely. I had been taking the ACV before my surgery - but didn't try Aloe or Nux Vomica until now that it seems my surgery has failed.
in hospital my blood tests were done with an all clear given and i went home, 2 days later back in emergency hospital another attack, sent home no treatment given unknown cause, then 7 days ater massive attack, rushed to hospital, acute pancreantitus diagnosed, kept in hospital for 48 hours on a drip with no food or drink allowed and i was discharged , as soon as i got home i felt ill rested and felt terrible,gp came to my home and said he was unsure, but an mri scan would help, (i had a normal sc
You can check out the posts above, I was actually amazed to find so many others who've had similar problems with the same test resultts. I'll be looking into Lipschutz Ulcers and some of the remedies that have worked for people.
I have recently recieved ulcers in my vaginal area. I went to my dr and she tested me for herpes...the test results haven't came back yet, however the pain exceeded too much for me to handle and I ended up going to the er. They told me I had a absess. The dr lanced it, after numbing the area, and tried to drain it. I've kept it clean with soapy warm water and have been on pain killers for two days now.
It feels like a small sorethroat w/ a cold.... what remedies should i do at home before it get serious??? and how should i breathe, through my nose or through my mouth???
You mentioned i should see a doctor, yes your right but hence the fact that i am spilling my health issues to complete strangers over the internet, you must assume that i absolutly hate going to doctors, for some reason its very scary for me, i would rather try natural or home remedies first before seeing a doctor.. One other question is my burning sensation lasts moslty all day worse by certain foods or when i smoke, but it always feels like its there no matter what, is this normal with GERD??
Most PPIs are safe for pregnancy (Zantac, Prevacid, Prilosec) but be sure to check with your doc to check first. If it is that severe home remedies arent going to do much, but keep in mind with these meds it takes around 1-2 weeks for symptoms to subside, its not an immediate cure. So if you've tried them before try to hold out for 2 weeks and there should be a substantial improvement.
Oxycodone is the generic form of Percocet. I have never of pantprazole, but do take sulcralfate. I also try home remedies of chamomile tea, honey and coconut water. It is miserable....i just had an endoscopy a few weeks ago ( where they go down your throat with a tube and camera) My GI said there's some inflammation there, which is what he told me the last time. I agree how horrible it is when it flares up. Eventually, it will die down. How long do your flare ups last?
Acid Reflux, Heartburn, feeling of something stuck in my throat, gurgling noise in my throat after swallowing and excessive burping. I also begin to start having issues with my stomach, as if I was extremely constipated with an empty like feeling in my stomach. After feeling this way a week later, I decide to go to the doctor. He prescribes Prilosec OTC and recommends I take this for 2 months straight. So, I take one dose and I start to have a rapid heartbeat.
It's more or less in my throat. Kind feels like a lump in the back of my throat with a urge to get sick. But knock on wood I've yet to physically get sick. Not to mention I absolutely hate throwing up, huge fear.
radiating back and chest pains mostly on my left side, trouble breathing, knot in my throat, throwing up, severe acid reflux, stomach burning, etc.. They sent me home and said my gallbladder needed to be removed and to follow a low fat diet. I did as they said, but the next night was even worse. I went back and was admitted... saw a GI specialist and he said the gallbladder was fine and that it was most likely a hiatal hernia.

Have you tried home remedies at all? Nux Vomica can even heal ulcers and Licorice root from the health food store can stop the pain - albeit temporarily. I hope your doctor gets to the bottom of it! Btw - if you have trouble smelling odors - you might need Zinc.
When I spit out, I am seeing traces of blood. I had chest x-rays that came out clear. I saw an ear nose throat doctor who checked my nose and throat and saw nothing except excess mucous. He prescribed a nasal spray for me. I have been using it for about two weeks now, and am still seeing and tasting the blood. I am also experiencing some pressure in my throat. Any suggestions on who to see or what could be going on?
Then I had difficulty in swallowing my food and food sticking in my throat for 2 weeks 3 years back, I took a chinese medicine and the symptoms gone until now. I sometimes had indigestions off and on and experience burning sensation in my stomach, the symptoms get worse if I'm facing anxiety. I also had stomach bloating if too full or continuously been eating off and on for a day. I burp very often before and after food.
It feels like a flea suddenly bites one (or the other) side of my throat or maybe vocal cords or sometimes I think it feels like a big hive in my throat because it feels like a lump comes up. A throat specialist went down with a scope and said everything was normal. My doctor diagnosed allergy or sinus problems, and possible asthma, and put me on antihistamines and an asthma inhaler. None of it worked. Then she put me on Claritin D and it seemed to work for at least a year.
Home Remedies for Heartburn (Peptic Ulcer Disease): 1. Holy basil (tulsi): Consuming few leaves of tulsi (2-3) leaves anytime gives relief from acidity. 2. Drinking water in the early morning controls acidity, as water is a good neutralizer for acid. 3. Pranayama: Deep breathing the right way until body feels relaxed or for about ten minutes is a good home remedy. 4. Indian gooseberry (Amla): One table spoon Amla with one table spoon haritaki (chebulic myroblan) is best acid pacifier. 5.
This may be a bit long, but please hear me out, I'm thinking about ending my life over this (it may seem stupid but 'not knowing' is driving me insane) I'd like you guys to help me do the impossible and aid me in finding out what this problem is. It started on June 6th, 3 months ago. I went on a drinking binge and had 3 hard drinking sessions, one at night, one the next morning, then the next night I tried gin for the first time.
Mouth and throat ulcers in cats are very much like cold sores in humans and they are caused by the same thing...alergies or stress. Unfortunately, there are no effective treatments to prevent them other than to eliminate the cause.
