After researching I am little concern about the side of extraction. The gums in front of the extraction (teeth 18,19, 20) are bleeding when I floss, and when I put pressure on them with my finger. There is also a slight pain as well. Is this normal? Or is this an infection of some sort?

Two days later, its still bleeding a little, i looked in my mouth, the site of the extraction is dark red so i assume there is a blood clot there, so why is it still bleeding a little? The dentist said a little bleeding and oozing is normal for up to 24 hours, but then to call if it's bright red and profuse, but its not profuse, so i dont know what to do.

After tooth extraction it is important for the blood clot to form to stop bleeding. Be careful not to dislodge the blood clot while brushing your teeth near the extraction site for at least 3-4 days. Carefully wipe the area with a clean, wet gauze pad. If you are worried about the size of clot it is best to get it seen by your dentist. That will help allay anxiety.

I thought most cardiologist now say that even tooth extraction is fine on plavix/aspirin because the bleeding will not be much longer than normal?
The contrast is quite amazing when open heart surgery is given to patients who have taken their daily dosage of both aspirin/plavix and very often clexane on top. It makes one wonder how they heal.
You may need to see a hematologist to rule out potential bleeding disorder. Dry socket is rarely associated with upper molar extraction.

I had a protected sex in April 23th with a girl "whom i don't know a lot about" .That was protected. But she had a dental surgery in April 17th .I hope ı'm writing the meaning in english right. She had a teeth out. (pull her teeth ) can you understand the meaning? As you understand that was a bleeding surgery. We had a lot of deeply kissing. There is 6 days between surgery and our kissing.
The strange thing is that it has been 4 months since the last extraction and now the teeth next to the extraction sites are hurting just like the previously removed teeth but they too look normal and my gums look healthy. I still feel run down but I can take a simple antibiotic (such as a 5 day Z-Pak) and I feel VERY energetic again but it only lasts for about 2 weeks tops.
t know whether she was bleeding in the mouth or not but at that time I had some bleeding in my mouth from the wisdom teeth extraction sites (the stiches and all). Additionally, I don't know her HIV status.
My second question is, since the two weeks have passed from the wisdom teeth surgery, last night I poked one of the sites and found out one of the healing site is still not complete because of complications from the stiches as it broke off and thus the wound is still open and it bled.
I had 3 teeth pulled 3/28, and developed a dry socket. It will only INTENSIFY pain. If the extraction site is still bleeding, try pressing sown on a damp tea bag. It's supposed to help stop the bleeding. But the suction created by smoking will cause the clot to release, and that's when you get the dry socket. take it from me. the pain you had from the tooth still being there, is NOTHING compared to the pain of a dry socket.
I got my upper and bottom right wisdom teeth taken out on Monday...my bottom extraction site is open, and food keeps getting in it. I thought the clostwas supposed to go over the hole? It hurts, but not as bad as everyone said it should...but I have a high tolerance for pain, so I don't know. I also have a bad taste in my mouth, but I'm not sure if it's maybe a dry socket, or it is the hydogen peroxide mouthwash I have been using since yesterday.

Just had a tooth extraction, removed all of my wisdom teeth. All areas have healed more or less except my bottom right. That area still hasnt healed and gums are beginning to surround my molar (tooth 31)? Also the inner lining of my mouth near my jaw line is a blood red. Is this an infection? Should I seek a dentist out asap?
My 16 year old daughter had her wisdom teeth removed 18 days ago. 4 days after the extraction she was diagnosed with a dry socket in 1 of the lower sites. The oral surgeon has been packing it for almost 2 weeks now. If she continues to experience pain after 14 days of packing, the surgeon wants to make another incision and "scrape" the bone to start the bleeding again. I can find no evidence on the web that this is the recommened treatment for a dry socket. Can you advise?

My daughter (16 years old) had her wisdom teeth out about 16 days ago. She had "cysts"(what the oral surgeon called them) around her bottom 2 wisdom teeth and the top 2 teeth were impacting the sinuses so he had to put extra stitches in to close the sinus. The bottom left one was the worst and had to have an extra long incision cut into it. It would not quit bleeding so it was packed with gauze and we returned 4 days later for removal of the packing.
Exactly a week ago on Friday March 24th I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Since then I have been taking my medication as indicated and have been following all of the rules. On the 3rd and 4th day my swelling was extremely bad... swelling is still not completely gone and I have large bruises on my face. As of right now I can't seem to open my mouth more than 1 and a half inches apart and I find it extremely difficult to chew even the softest foods like mac and cheese for example.
( it was some 10 hrs after surgery the wound still bleeding a bit and i am not sure about her hiv status, has had several one night stands last year.... I am very scared. I know she has problems with bleeding gums when brushing teeth. Do you think i can be infected? Hi everyone, I'm having some major gum problems. 3 or 4 of my gums are bleeding a lot. I went to the Dentist last month, and got a dental abscess removed. The dentist she did the pocket test, and send it was fine for now and I don't need to see a periodontist. I had a scale clean as opposed to a regular clean, I'm not sure if she did root planning though.
I went to my dentist and he noticed my upper wisdom tooth was teasing the wound making it bleed plus I tried to sleep in laying position and that caused the bleeding, so he resolved the upper mollar but an hour later bleeding started again, so I was putting tea bags over it until it finally stopped.
