Avatar f tn I noticed that my gums are a but sensitive. my gums are a lil bit peeled in one spot its just a tiny dot as if I scraped or brushed too hard. Any suggestions? What can I do to strengthen my teeth & gums?

7813138 tn?1394942258 I'm 12 weeks today & yes, my gums became sensitive around week 10 too, and they still are.. a little! it was actually my top teeth that would bleed.. usually in between my two front teeth especially.. they recommend going to the dentist & letting them know you're pregnant b/c some women actually get gingivitis during pregnancy, but sensitive/bleeding gums are normal.. I usually use mouthwash last, it usually stops the bleeding & gets rid of that taste in my mouth!
5924569 tn?1377745370 OK, so I might be the only one on here experiencing this, but as I've progressed in my pregnancy I've noticed my gums have been bleeding pretty bad. Its usually when I'm eating and chewing like apples or when I'm brushing my teeth. The weird part is I floss and brush my teeth all the time. I don't leave my house without it and I have a stadh of floss at work, so I don't think it has to do with not flossing. Any advice?
Avatar f tn Awesome. Like I said I never had this with my last pregnancies and never thought to ask my dentist about it. Thanks for the feedback!!

Avatar f tn Bleeding sensitive gums is common during pregnancy. You have more blood volume and your tissues can swell. Same reason nose bleeds are common and congestion. You should get the cavity looked at, but I'm not sure what they can do if an X ray is needed since you can't have X rays while pregnant.
Avatar f tn You may have 'pregnancy gingivitis'. It's a sort of gum disease you can get while pregnant but will go away after you've had your baby. I have it and it's.caused.by my teeth and gums being.super sensitive during pregnancy. y.
Avatar f tn My teeth are extremely sensitive as it is being pregnant it makes it more so...if you dont drink allot of milk try taking a calcium suplement thats what my doctor told me to do plus side the chewable calcium tablet also help with heart burn just like tums.
6689361 tn?1405126215 I found thst brushing 3 times a day. As well as swishing with warm salt water. And flossing twice a day helped woth the swelling.
Avatar f tn Okay so I notice when I brush my teeth my gums are super sensitive and bleed easily now. I hear when pregnant it can happen, anyone else having this issue?
Avatar f tn My teeth have become increasingly more sensitive. I'm 30 weeks. Has that happened to anyone else?
Avatar f tn So I noticed that my gums are really swollen and bleeding a lot and I have been trying so hard to take good care of my teeth. Brushing 3x a day and flossing every day. I know I don't have cavities because I have always taken great care of my teeth. But my morning breath is DEADLY!!! Like I yawned this morning and my fiance almost threw up haha its gross.
Avatar f tn is it just your teeth or gums as well? i was having alot of swelling n bleeding in gums i went to dentist and they did a deep cleaning on me feels alot better now there healing now.. dentist told me its also hormones an something about blood flow when your prego your more prone to gum disease an cavities so its good to get your cleanings.
Avatar f tn Yes!! My gums are sooo sensitive which stinks because i have braces an feel super gross if i dont floss every night after brushing so thats fun *eye roll* lol..
Avatar f tn Is this just curiosity? How do you know for certain the instruments were non-sterile?
Avatar n tn I always try to brush his teeth everynight even though he screams the house down, the only spot that gets a good brushing is just behind the two front teeth. Im thinking maybe he has sensitive skin and the brushing aggravated it to the point of bleeding?? I dont know of other children who scream so much when getting there teeth brushed, can some peoples gums be extra sensitive??
Avatar f tn I've been having mild cramps here and there for about 4 days..that kinda feel like my period (5 days after I had unprotected sex). I'm not supposed to get my period for another week. I've also just felt really exhausted and I've noticed my gums are really sensitive and have been bleeding when I brush my teeth, which hasn't happened to me before. Is it possible I could be pregnant?
Avatar f tn all of a sudden my gums got really sensitive and started bleeding, even while I am just brushing my teeth. And a few days later I got a white bump on the end of my tongue. Are these two things related? And if not what is the cause of this?
Avatar f tn Pregnancy hormones increase blood flow which can make your gums very sensitive & bleed. I have one specific spot on my gums that I need to be careful of when I'm brushing because it will just bleed like crazy. It will get better once your little one arrives.
Avatar f tn d pay more attention to brushing your gums when you brush your teeth.
Avatar f tn I had a cleaning at 10w and it felt normal. Also had a cavity filled, normal. My teeth are more sensitive now that I'm prego. I use that sensitive toothpaste and it's great. Don't be worried if your gums hurt or bleed some, that's normal.
