The blockage formed after the Essure caused my tubes to become irritated & swollen, as time passed the irritation & swelling got worst and therefore my pain was worst and explains why my pain never went away. Yes, pregnancy is possible after tubal ligation surgery. I became pregnant 7 years after having this surgery done, but we lost our baby at 10 weeks, possibly due to low progesterone and are currently trying to conceive again. I have read stories of women who have had trouble testing positive after having tubal ligation surgery done, so depending on when you tested I would recommend doing it again and getting an ultra sound done as well. I am 38 years old. I have 4 children already and had a tubal ligation and novasure. My tubal ligation was in 2007 and novasure was in 2009. I have had nothing but problems with my period since my tubal (hence the ablation).I was bleeding irregularly and very heavy. At one point I bled for almost 3 months very heavily, which is when my doctor and I decided to get my ablation. I continually had problems with my cycle after my ablation.
I plan to have the iud after I have this baby bc I've heard so many good things about it and I haven't decided yet if I want to have more children or not. Every nurse at my doctors office has the iud and they recommend them very highly, although like the first post said they can effect people differently. So I think if you're not entirely sure yet if you want to have more kids then go with the iud, but if you know you're done then go with the tubal litigation.

I took a urine pregnancy test last Thursday and it showed negative, then again Saturday and it instantly showed positive.
