Avatar f tn If you put into your search engine, images of mild hives, pictures do look like yours (to me). However, we can look at what else it could be as well. They could also be contact dermatitis. https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/contact-dermatitis#1 Eczema also can cause itchy raised bumps (treatable with over the counter creams but again, get diagnosed first).
Avatar n tn ) Could that be doing something, possibly causing an allergic reaction? ANY help is appreciated. Included is pictures of my skin, and the green stuff on my foot.
8924846 tn?1410572901 I use vitimin E oil and vasiline lotion with vitimin E in it for stretch marks. It gets better after i take an allergy pill and put the lotion on it. I also found it kinda soothes it when i sit in front of my fan the cool air allergy pill and lotion help. But when i compared my rash to pictures of hives and pupps it looked more like pupps.
Avatar f tn they originally occurred at night and having been consistently appearing most intensely and over the widest surface area during the night (but do occur during the day as well). By what I have seen, they look practically identical to the pictures of hive rashes online. They are occurring basically everywhere: ankles, elbows, abdomen, back, knuckles, backs of the hands, forehead, but most consistently on my inner thighs, the back of my upper legs and my underarms.
Avatar m tn s hives did not itch and were not as red as pictures i saw on the internet. I really think that is what they are. I would try the benadryl for awhile and see if they get better.

I can't recall ever reading about an E.M. rash having puss inside though!! weird!! also I get blistery spots on my left foot - same side as 'bite'. Any thoughts or similarities out there??
Avatar m tn Hives or urticaria is a condition which causes red and sometimes itchy bumps on your skin. Hives can occur anywhere on the body such as the trunk, arms, and legs. They are usually allergic (food, medication and insect stings) but may also be due to infections and stress. Many a times no specific cause for them is ever found. They usually go away on their own. The most commonly used oral treatments are antihistaminics (such as cetirizine, loratidine, benadryl available over the counter).
Avatar f tn I’ve had these same three pimles since November, and the wierd thing is, they don’t heal, they look like their about to go away and then they come right back red and big. I’m 18 years old and I’ve been having skin problems since last year, before that I had nice clear skin. I’ve had back acne problems for a while now too. I also have been getting rashes that literally come and go everyday and get worse especially at night, but recently I’ve been getting them every hour of every day.

Avatar n tn acute and chronic(when hives persist for more than 6 weeks). The most likely triggers for acute urticaria are allergies to pets, horses, latex and foods, such as shellfish and nuts, bee or wasp stings, allergies to medicines, viral infections, such as glandular fever and herpes, dental and sinus infections, fungal infections, blood transfusions and vaccines. The cause of chronic urticaria is often more difficult to identify.
1055603 tn?1254235958 I think i may have hives, ive never been known to be allergic to something. This past week i began to get little bumps that at first looked like a mosquito bite, and because of the habit i began to scratch it. Within a few minutes the one bump became several and it swoll up and was red. I would stop scratching and they eventually jus disappear out of nowwhere and i couldn't even tell that they were there.

463595 tn?1333997222 Hello, The symptoms are suggestive of hives or urticaria. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. The mainstay of treatment of hives is antihistamine which may be necessary for prolonged periods. You can give non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine. Sedating antihistamines such as Benadryl is used at night to get urticaria control.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms it looks like irritant contact dermatitis and hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours. Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications.

Avatar f tn hello. I have been getting hives when I get hot/sweat. If I'm stuck in a warm place for awhile, i will start to get ichy and then hives will show up usually around my bra area. It is worse when I exercise, I get hives all over my body. I don't have a hard time breathing though. This started sometime this winter. I can't think of anything that I've changed. still use the same laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, body wash, lotion, cleaning products.
Avatar f tn The sudden spike in histamine levels can cause an outbreak of hives in the upper layers of the skin. Hives are often caused by a hypersensitivity to: •Foods (commonly eggs, shellfish, nuts, berries, dyes, or other additives) •Drugs (any drug can touch off an allergic reaction, although allergies to penicillin, sulfa, and aspirin are especially common) •Pollens and plants (nettles, poison ivy, poison oak, and so on) •Animal fur •Insect bites or stings •Exposure to heat, cold, or sunshine.
Avatar m tn the next day i have been getting hives. Do you think it is in my mind that the hives keep coming back or is it because of the alcohol and marijuana? I have both smoked and drank occasionally for years and never had any of these problems since this November. What is your diagnosis?
