seroquel high blood pressure

ONE of the concerns I have about it, is blood pressure. Seroquel can raise your blood pressure greatly and b/c of this, you should take yours before taking a dose...on top of this, w/d seems to raise the bp too. Again, this is just ONE of my concerns...

I think right now thinking about my blood pressure is making it higher. I guess also whether your blood pressure is high from stress and anxiety or not it's still bad for your heart right? So, I have been thinking I should go on something like clonidine, which could also possibly help with my tourette's and eventual withdrawal from ativan. Thanks for any insight (or hopefully reassurance) you can give.

s seroquel 400 mg tablet thinking it was her Diovan for her high blood pressure. What steps should I take? Should I worry? should she drink more water to dilute it. Should she take one of my xanax .5 to prevent an accelarated heart rate?

I have a blood pleasure monitor. Its crazy. My heart goes up and the blood pressure goes down. Then as the rate goes down the pressure goes up. It quite frightening. I went to emergency. They didn't address the seroquel anti-biotic issue. This all started with the mix of the two meds about three weeks ago. I appreciate your interaction. I was only being treated for PDS and started getting symptoms of a schizophrenic. By the 9th day I was rushed to the ER for extreme high blood pressure, pains in my chest, heart palpitations, panic attacks, and vomiting. I was admitted for 2 days, I thought I was going to die. The Dr. said that stopping a drug like Seroquel cold turkey was terribly dangerous and could have given me a heart attack.

On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now. He has gained a lot of weight on it. Anyone having further details on this subject, I would be most thankful for your input.

The most common side effects are dry mouth, drowsiness, sedation, dizziness, high blood sugar, weakness, constipation, abdominal pain, sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing, sore throat, weight gain, abnormal liver tests, upset stomach, and sluggishness. Sounds kinda nasty to me.....

Since seroquel can cause high BG you sure your diabetic and not as a result of seroquel raising your BG? Go to Google and put seroquel into the serch field.

and he is 49 so take that advice if you want to...but it works for both of us...and another thing...he use to have high blood pressure very high blood pressure and he didnt have no stand at all..because of the medication...so i cook with no salt and it lowered his blood pressure and sent it some where else...ya know...and since no problems...and no medication either.. just me now Im the medication...

If you have no prior history of high blood pressure i would think theres a very good chance as these meds do crazy stuff....... I have read here where those with high BP before tx saw it go down while on treatment...... Good luck going forward.

I have had high blood pressure through out most of my pregnancy i am now 35wks. I started swelling really bad last week and at my apt yesterday my blood pressure had jumped even higher to 156/90. My mid wife didn't seem concerned at all she just re took it and made my appointments weekly now. I can't seem to get rid of a head ache ive had for a couple days. Should i be worried???

Your bottom number is a little high but not horrible! I am 35w3d and I have had constant high blood pressure since 26 weeks. Its always around 165/94. Since its been constantly high, I see my doctor every thursday for an ultrasound to check the babies heartbeat and fluid, a non-stress test, and a chat with my doctor! I also go in every wednesday to do blood work to check for preeclampsia. This week will be my 4th time doing it.

I get high blood pressure when pregnant (this is my second pregnancy) it just happens. I'm fit and healthy and continue this during pregnancy and have hardly any salt in my diet.

cervix is still close which is fine with me no hurry lol but dr informed me that my blood pressure was high so he restricted me from work nn put me to rest...but I'm wondering if this means I'm getting induce? They help curve my nausea too. Ive never had high blood pressure from too much salt however in my past pregnancies(like in last trimester)if i ate them too often my feet would swell up pretty good. At this point its hard for me to ignore cravings. Sometimes your body craves what you need but just try to eat whatever it is in moderation.

So the last few weeks when I go to the doctor my blood pressure is high (can hit 160/110) so each time he sends me to l&d blood work is normal and the last visit was the only visit without protein in my urine. He said he could induce me on Tuesday which would make me 36+4. At last visit baby was measuring 7.7 lbs. I have also lost my mucus plug. I also have gestational diabetes. My question is would u be ok woth inducing this early. I am afraid to make the wrong decision.

Hi... can anyone tell me if high blood pressure can cause shortness of breath? I just had it tested and it's 191/120 with a resting heart rate is 111... I'm asthmatic, but this is not the same.... I just can't seem to catch my.breath, especially when I've done very little excercise(walking) Thank you ...
