Can I take Evening Primrose Oil with Seroquel (100mg per day)? I've notice recent hair shedding and read that Evening Primrose Oil can help but interacts with some anti-psychotic meds. I do not have a seizure disorder.

How safe is 200 milligrams of seroquel while pregnant and nursing? Also, is it dangerous to cut the pills in half to take a lesser dose? Or should you cut or break the pills at all?

Yeah, the pharmacist should have told you that, or at least provided you a print-out with the drug information, contraindications, dangerous interactions, etc., because it's not an uncommon interaction due to the fact that the CYP3A4 is one of the big guns of enzymes used to metabolize drugs (and it's inhibited by grapefruit juice, as I'm sure you've now read).

Why was it suggested? Who suggested it to you? This supplement seems like it's designed for bodybuilders. It's not regulated by the FDA, so a pharmacist may not have information on contraindications. Still, a call to your Copaxone pharmacy as well as your PCP are in order.

I would look into the pharmaceutical company that makes Arimidex and see what contraindications are listed, including food and supplements. Might even be worth putting in an email to them.

I would say if your doctor prescribed them because your blood was sticky he/she has weighed the benefits vs risk. Does the doctor know about your condition?

I was on lithium and seroquel. Worked wonders. Im only on seroquel now cuz im pennant and it.still works but not as.

I would like to know if there are any contraindications with taking the herb red yeast rice with these prescription medications: Topromax 100 mg bid; Zoloft 200 mg @ hs; Xanax 0.5 mg @ hs PRN and oxycodone 5 mg 2 tabs bid for chronic pain. I was initially prescribed Crestor 5 mg by my PCP but due to some severe side affects I stopped taking it.

Seroquel has now worked for 3 nights of sleep. I take clonazapam and lamtrogine. What could I add as decrease 1 of these? Is tegretol a good choice? Long ago I took lithium, but ballooned up in weight. Suggestions to discuss w/my doctor?

Does it really work? Because I have been given 10mg Diazepam and it hasn't helped that much with W/D's or stop the attacks. I have posted about this before and someone suggested that if I can't get Clonidine I should try to get Seroquel. I take 200 mg of seroquel to help me sleep if i cut it in half will it still help me fall asleep!! I only have 12 days left of seroquel and i can't see the doctor until the 8th of next month so i'm freaking out about not being able to sleep!! Please help!!

I ran across something on the net about Seroquel. It was another forum that I got the info about Seroquel. On this forum someone was talking about there being a tort action lawsuit against the makers of Seroquel. That it is causing excessive weight gain, diabetes, very high blood pressure in people taking this antipsychotic. I am wanting to know further about these complications caused by Seroquel. My 28 year old son has been on this med for approximately 4 years now.

I just started Seroquel. The first tab last night. I felt so trippy. It scared me and I made myself go to sleep just to avoid the experience I was having. I also heard it causes crazy weight gain. Is that true? Right now I feel nausea.

Hi my name is Mike and my wife is now currently in the hospital from overdose of seroquel and maybe other medications that she might have.

My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...

If Seroquel is being prescribed as a sleep aid yes, within a psychiatrist's discretion. If its being used as a mood stabilizer then it would have to be taken every day though the timing could vary. If someone can't tolerate it at all as regards any sedation then other available options could be discussed with a psychiatrist.

My doctor has recommended Seroquel for my insomnia. Since i am a parkinsons patient, I was wondering if this ,might make my parkinsons worse?

the doctor put my husband on seroquel for anxiety. i was on them last year from my psychiatrist for sleep. of course i can't gauge how they worked because i was just adding them to the stew as it were. his are extended release. mine were not. the doctor gave him samples to last 1 month. he seems to be doing well on them, but i know my husband. these are going to be expensive even with insurance.
