Common Questions and Answers about Raw milk allergy journal

milk

Avatar n tn Hi ! Has your daughter tried rice or soy milk ? If not, those are two options that you may want to discuss with her physician. Also, I would highly recommend considering purchasing a homeopathic supplement for dairy allergies. It worked for my husband's allergy to dairy (he used to get welts !) and may work for your daughter. Of course you should also discuss this with your daughter's physician and if your daughter has a severe allergy to milk...
Avatar n tn The allergens in nuts are destroyed (for the most part) when they're roasted/cooked. However, that doesn't mean that everone with a nut allergy will be able to tolerate a nut after it's been roasted/cooked.
Avatar n tn After drinking alcohol the eye rash becomes much worse and causes me great pain. I have had an allergy test and are only allergic to milk and nuts. However I have discarded these foods from my diet and still have the same problem. I just wondered if the blood circulation or blood vessels around my eyes could have an effect on my eyes.
Avatar f tn So this is a bit edgy but if you can try raw milk it may be worth it. I hear many of the hangups people have with milk are gone if you go raw, like those who are lactose intolerant. Risks are worth looking into first, and it can be spendy, but I switched to raw and really like it.
Avatar m tn My son used to get pain in his eyes and would see fuzzy when he ate cheese. He is lactose intolerant. He can drink raw milk, but tolerates only certain types of cheeses.
541234 tn?1266675097 m a beautician but my scalp looks like its BURNED it has dry spots not sure why ? not sure if its an allergy to something but my scalp is itchy burning and scabby and raw have thyroid goitors more problems no answers?
Avatar f tn My Australian Working kelpie developed bad itching last March. By Aug of last year he was eating hotspots into himself. He calmed a lot in winter and so far, he's still not too bad, but there is minor itching. Many holistic groups feel the source of itching is issues with the gut; an imbalance of gut flora or perforations in the intestines which allow toxins or proteins not fully digested, to "leak" into the blood and lymphatic systems.
Avatar f tn also try drinking a lot of water, in between meals (not so in the evening as it puts pressure on the bladder/kidneys). Perhaps soy milk in your case, cheese/sour cream are causing it.. also not everyone can handle raw veggie/fruit juices and they get stomach pains (ex. raw carrot, apple etc - should be mix with water) and I heard eating garlic helps with bloating/gas. They sell garlic pills in almost every nutrition stores, pharmacies...
Avatar m tn One other thing I forgot to mention is you may have a food allergy, which would also explain why your relatives have this, too. A common one that causes diarrhea are milk and milk products, so switching to soy milk or rice milk can help, they're in most grocery stores in a small carton in a special section of the store. Or there are tablets you can take with meals that will counteract milk allergy.
Avatar n tn I feel I've exposed myself to a food which I have an intolerance to since diving deep into looking after my health. I've made a few lifestyle changes at the same time so unsure but I think it might be oat milk. I'm on week 5 of the Wim Hof Method 10 Week Program which is breathwork, yoga postures, meditation and cold water immersion. I swapped almond milk for oat milk (which I've now eliminated again). I've been drinking hot raw cacao drinks.
Avatar n tn I agree that yogurt, cheese and kefir are better than drinking milk. I agree raw milk is better than pasteurized, but it can also kill you and it isn't readily available in most states. But dairy is always considered pro-inflammatory. As for the weight loss claim, I'm sure there are varying theories. My wife lost a fair amount of weight eating lots of Greek yogurt, but I'm sure others wouldn't.
1900997 tn?1321659956 a couple of hours later, I get ferocious stomach pain and flatulence that smells of milk, quite often also diarrhoea. So I switched to lactose-free milk, but this has not brought about any improvement whatsoever. Skimmed milk is just as bad as full fat, so it can't be the fat content either.
Avatar m tn The baby may show reaction towards breast milk also if the mother is taking dairy products in her diet.Diagnosis of milk allergy can be confirmed after skin ***** or patch tests and food challenge tests.Confirmation can be done with blood tests like RAST.It also helps in differentiating milk allergy from lactose intolerance. You need to consult an allergy specialist for that. Treatment involoves elimination of all dairy products from the diet.
Avatar n tn This past January I took her to an allergist who diagnosed (scratch test) her with allergy to milk, casein, corn, tomato, carrots, bannana, apple, grapes. The doctor told me to avoid these foods and do food test. She has been doing much better but something just didn't seem right. I have found that she breaks out from other foods that I give her as well... It just seems like too many foods to be possible...Last week I took her to a different allergiest for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?
Avatar m tn I do not eat chocolates or cola very much. I drink coffee 2 times a day with milk and sugar. I wear fitting T Shirts mostly those are just fitting ones but not very tight. T Shirts are washed after 2-3 time using. I do not walk much and drive car mostly. After leaving Gym no walking or jog. Weather warms here and almost summer here so I use Fans and A/c. I got 4 Adult Kittens whom I give shower every two weeks and maintain job cards for complete maintenance.
1539379 tn?1294332115 With allergies, you should be tested (blood test) for all major allergies which will include a milk allergy. When I say dairy-free, I actually mean dairy-free which means eliminating whey and casein but if a milk allergy test comes back negative then you only need to do lactose-free.
644974 tn?1312758070 Sorry to hear Levi has been having such a hard time! I hope he grows out of the allergies. Things have been good for us. Bella has a milk allergy, but it's not horrible. She pukes at night a few times a week while we mess with her formula and try to settle on something that really works for her. Other than that she's walking, talking, and having epic temper tantrums ;-) Oh Happy Birthday Levi!
875426 tn?1325528416 org/user_journals/show/291073/Catalina-video More info and videos of our beloved Catalina are on my journal. I hope people will enjoy watching her! I tested allergic to cats last week, but hope we can continue keep her... she's dear to my heart! At least it wasn't in the severe allergy category.
Avatar f tn Anyone have any experience with raw diets? My poor dog seems to be allergic to everything he eats. Hes on a prescription hypoallergenic diet now and he's doing ok with it but its super expensive and it gives him bad breath. There has to be something better for him out there but until I find it I was thinking of going raw. One of my coworkers highly recommended it but all the information I can find on it is either all for it or all against it.
