Abstract
Treatment of chronic hepatitis C with pegylated interferon (peginterferon) and ribavirin can cause or exacerbate depression but its effects on cognitive function are largely unknown. The aim of this study was to determine whether treatment with peginterferon and ribavirin adversely impacts cognitive function in patients with chronic hepatitis C.

My doctor has me on PegInterferon injections (l80MCG x 1 weekly) and Ribavirin (200mg 4 pills daily) and Procrit injections (2x weekly). I understand the anemia but what is causing the extreme nausea that I experience My doctor just put me on Ondansetron and it seems to be helping, so far. Doctor, can you explain in layman terms, please, what's with the nausea? Is it just the body's reaction to sooooo much medication? Or is my body trying to tell me something else?

. I was married to an iv drug user. The experts say I probably didnt catch it by sexual contact but probably by using his razor/toothbrush. I was diagnosed last year with f4 fibrosis but not cirrhosis genotype 1a. Started triple therapy 10 weeks ago stopped on Monday as couldn't cope with side effects. The physical side effects I could cope with but nit the daily panic attacks I was getting.
