pain shoulder left side

I am a 59 year olf female and for the last 3 months or so have been having really bad pains in my left side just under my ribs. The pain goes through to my back. I also have erratic bowel movements, flatulence and feel as if I can't empty my bowls properly. The pain is bad when I twist round to look at something and nothing seems to improve it although it can get a little better towards the end of the day.

For 1.5 years I've been experiencing pain on my left side...neck, then shoulder, then wrist, and now elbow and shoulder. Family Dr. tells me I probably have arthritis and tennis elbow. I am not athletic and can't think of what I might have done to cause this. However, shortly before all this started, I did get really sick with vomiting and diahhrea for over a week. I suspected food poison.

Hi there.. For the last year and a half I have had pains in my left shoulder which also seems to be giving me "pins & needles" down to my finger tips sometimes. the pain is coming from the underneath of my shoulder blade and normally hurts more while sitting down.

I have been wearing bite guard for last year and it got better but started hurting again this week really bad and having spasms in jaw and now my neck is killing me on the left side. Pain is going up the left side of neck and down left shoulder into arm. Have not had chance to go to doctor yet but am wondering if anyone with cervical disc problems has ever had it to affect temple and jaw area of face??? Am thinking maybe this isn't TMJ at all....

It has been a week since I had the left shoulder blade pain that shoots up to left side of the head. Whenever I move my left arm in certain motion it gives me pain on my head on the left top. If I sit still, I feel no pain. I am suspecting t this is the result carrying my sleeping baby on my left shoulder which caused my neck to stretch.

i have had a clicking when rotating my arms forward (left side), not backwards. i get stabbing pains in bicep, pain in tricep trying to lift 10-plus pounds. i have had tingling on back between shoulder and neck on left side. it hurts REAL BAD when they push on my shoulder. i have had 3 steroid shots, ibprofen for months, bio freeze, med rox, ice, heat, etc. the clicking doesn't happen all the time.

Hi.. I have neck/shoulder pain on my left side.. The pain becomes more when I push my chin on to my neck.. I have had several tests done, including several tests check if he heart is causing th pain - with doctors ruling out that being the cause.. Inhale also had CT and MRI scans done, with no cashed found by specialist doctors.. I am still left with no answers.. I have now had the pain for over 2 years.. The pain still continues..

With new pain under your left rib, have you noticed any bowel changes? Constipation, bloating, or diarrhea? Also have you been on a heavy course of antibiotics lately?

I am a 31 year old female with moderate and sometimes severe pain in my left side that radiates up to my shoulder. My recent lab report revealed high liver enzymes. But my doctor didn't seem very concerned and didn't think that it was indicative of the pain on my left side. My doctor said my pain was due to colic and prescribed bentyl but I haven't seen any improvement and it has been almost two weeks.

I have been having left side pain for over a year now. I have had MRI's and CT scans done. They say they don't see anything. It's a constant pain, hurts to itch, sometimes touch. Sometimes it starts from the back of my head and all the way down to my shoulder, arm,wrist, knee, leg, and foot. My hand swells and my back hurts. I even works to walk. I am tired all the time, even if I get six hours of sleep.The pain does not go away.It is on a daily basis. Some please help me!!!!!!!!

Over the last few days i have been experiencing a pain in the lower left side of my back. At first is was a dull tight pain, just under the rib cage on the left side. During the day after some ibuprofin, ice, and stretching it would go away. The problem is each morning after i would wake up with more severe pain but mainly stil located in the same area. This morning in particular it got about 10 times worse.

It has now been 2 months of pain in my left side. It started out as a pain low close to my belly button and was thought to possibly be a hernia, if I put pressure on it the pain would go away until I took the pressure away. It was strange to feel pressure in this area as after a tummy tuck almost 4 years ago I have had minimal feeling in this area.

Four years have passed, and this supposed tendonitis has spread throughout my left side. In addition to my left wrist area, I now feel pain in my fingers, elbow, shoulder, neck, jaw, teeth and ear, as well as my ribs, hip, knee and ankle areas. All the pain in these locations is only on the left side of my body. I can get very short-term relief by "popping" any of the joints near the previously mentioned affected areas. My question is, how could this tendonitis spread?

Iam having the same pain back pain shoulder pain and neck pain all in the left side but it all started right after a breast biopsy and its been giong on for a yr.I have no idea what it could be if you find something out please post it THANKS....

I've been having severe shoulder pain. It goes down my left shoulder blade and down to the left side of my breast. I'm 14wks and 4 days and trying to get used to my new sleeping habits since it hurts my ribs if I lay on my stomach. To my knowledge I haven't been sleeping on it or anything (my shoulder) but it gets to the point that I just have to lay my arm down. If I have something in my hand while the sharp pains happen, it usually falls from where I have no control.

he took an x-ray that showed a small curve in my left side of back. said my left shoulder was slightly higher then my right. he prescribed an anti-inflammation meds called lodine that I m planning on picking up today. I was medically dropped because of pain in my left shoulder almost at the base of my neck going all the way to my left wrist. The pain is not as bad if I stand up or if I lay on my left side. If I sit against my back the pain can be almost a 10 out of 10 on the pain scale. I've been told it's more then likely a pinched nerve. I had a couple incidents were I fell out of a truck and some stairs, lifting heavy things. I had injury to my shoulder musle subcrapularias? Then my rib area on the left side. When I sit it feels that my rib is crushing into my side. I have pain on the side of my back were the ribs are located like a tearing stretching and goes into my lower muscle by my hip and upper buttocks area that muscle there.
