t know if it is related, but I experienced edema of my calves down through my toes since I started taking the Methadone/Oxycodone combination. I tried taking Lasix to reduce the edema but the swelling wouldn't subside.
You may want to ask your doctor to talk to his PMP or PCP regarding the edema to ensure that it is not a symptom of a possible illness (I haven't yet). I would hate to bare false attribution and have someone else suffer as a result of my ignorance.
Blood levels of tacrolimus (Prograf) can also be equally affected for the same reason as with cyclosporine. [both drugs are calcineurin inhibitors]

I just saw the prescriptions that my mother is taking. Methadone, Oxycodone, Klonipin and Tramadal. If she is taking all 4 of these drugs I suspect she needs to be professionally detoxed. She has been loaded for years now. She really can't function anymore. Any suggestions? She has fibromyalgia. I don't buy it, but, this is her story. Is this typical to prescribe this combination?? It seems over the top to me.
I say this because I had been taking oxycodone and xanax for years..and was able to stop the oxycodone pretty quickly, whereas the benzo needs to be tapered. because of possible seizures!. I know if you only take for a couple days you won't necessarily get dependant..but why substitute another drug if you don't have to? Just my take on it. Hot baths w/Epson Salt.. Before I stopped taking everything recently from Oxycodone 30mg 5x a day, Xanax went from 2mg twice a day to 1mg twice a day also Dr changed me from Ambien to i believe its called Restoril because of all the issues going on with Ambien and finally Celexa 40mg once a day at bed that the Dr thought I needed but I believe my depression results from everything following my friggen accident!
After 2-3 days I was so sick and my wife could see it I didn't hesitate going to the ER.
you name it, I have been compliant and done what has been asked of me in every regard. OxyContin and Oxycodone in combination Zanax XR, Cymbalta®, Soma, Lyrica®, Lisinopril HCTZ, Lidoderm® patch has been the best combination to control my pain. In late 2011, my pain became much more intense. At this time, I was prescribed, 240 mg of OxyContin/day and 45 mg Oxycodone/day in combination with all other meds mentioned.
Topromax 100 mg bid; Zoloft 200 mg @ hs; Xanax 0.5 mg @ hs PRN and oxycodone 5 mg 2 tabs bid for chronic pain. The red yeast rice will be for reducing my elevated Cholesterol as noted: (VLDL=18; TRIGLYCERIDES=92; LDL=155; HDL=59; TOTAL CHOLESTEROL=232). I was initially prescribed Crestor 5 mg by my PCP but due to some severe side affects I stopped taking it.
Like most I have always had general back pain I had several surgeries a few years ago where I was in the hospital 2 weeks with gallstones that dissolved and part of the sludge entered my pancreas that ate a hole through it causing 10 litters of fluid to build up behind my lungs. They basically cut me sternum to spine that & used a rib splitter. it causes pain under my breast still. Then last year was in a car accident that caused bulging discs to hit nerves in my lumbar and cervical.
Okay, so I was taking 80-120 mgs of oxycodone (Percocet) every day for the last year at least, may a year and a half. Five or six months ago, I discovered that i enjoyed mixing my already ridiculous opiate addiction with Xanax. Averaging 2-2.5 mgs like 3 or 4 times a week (on average, but I;m sure that at some point in there I took Xanax seven days in row). I I weaned off of the oxycodone in four days. I went seven days with no drugs.
So me and my wife have been taking oxycodone for about a year and a half now. We were taking about 120mg each a day and then about 8 months ago we cut down to 60mg each and still are doing that much each. We crush and snort them. We used to do a whole 30 at a time each but now I have us sharing a 15mg about 8 times a day so its a small dose but doesn't get us high. It just keeps us from feeling like ****!
I have had several surgeries in the past two years and as such, have been on some pain medications - namely oxycodone and percocet (which I understand is a combination of oxycodone and tylenol?) The last time I was at my rehabilitation physician's office, she thought it was time that we "wean" me off of those things and she wrote a script for Vicodin. What are the risks of overdose with someone taking Xanax 0.5 mg tid, Perocet 120 per month, Vicodin 120 per month, Lortab 120 per month, and 30 ambien per month?
Day 20 into my Xanax detox and I'm just not where I thought I'd be. I keep reading research articles about detoxing from Xanax and most say that the drug will be out of your system in 14 days but the wd's can last up to 30 days.
I also read that Xanax is almost as difficult to detox from as heroin. Then I've read posts of people detoxing from Xanax and feeling better after a few weeks. I know we are all different but I could not be more confused right now.
I was taking two Oxycodone 5 mg. Now I'm taking 1 Oxycodone hcl 10 mg. Is there a difference from the hcl tablets and the ones without hcl? It seems like the tablets before (the ones without the hcl) were a little bit stronger than the ones I take now that have hcl after the Oxycodone. Thanks.
I have been prescribed Xanax and Hydrocodone to cope with the pain of an upcoming medical procedure - my prescription says "as needed" but I only have 2 x 1mg of Xanax and 2 x 325mg acetominophen/ oxycodone pills so 4 pills total.
I'm thinking of taking all 4 (2 of each) simultaneously so I'm essentially "out of it" during the 5 minutes that the procedure will last - is this a safe dosage for an otherwise healthy adult male on no other meds ?
13 days ago I stopped taking 180 mg of oxycodone and started take 30 mg of methadone which i tappered down to 5 mg. I took my last dose 39 hours ago. My fiance just left me 5 days ago and I am severly depressed can i take xanax?
s a very common combination. Xanax can be abused, so be careful with it. Xanax is not an antidepressant, BTW.
my son took a combination of xanax (bars?) and alcohol for two weeks strait. he has not taken any or drank any alcohol for 5 days now but still feels numb. how long does it take for this to get out of his system? the amount he took during this period is unknown.
Are these meds taken all at the same time? It would depend a lot on that...

ve been diagnosed with RSD and have been on Demerol, hydrocodone, oxycodone and Lyrica. After seeing what works and what doesn't, I am currently only taking the oxycodone(2-7.5 every 4-6 hrs) and Lyrica(3-75 mg a day). The side effects I'm experiencing are constipation and my libido is mia. I can deal with the constipation, but at 45 and married, the libido change has GOT to be corrected.
If you are really down to just 1/2 pill a day, I'd get my doc to give me ONLY 10 or so Xanax and take 1/4 of a 2mg bar two times a day while I cold turkey off the Oxy alltogether. The xanax will calm you while you're detoxing. But serious...ONLY 1/4 pill couple times a day. Look up the Thomas resipe and get er done.
