I tried for 8 years to get diagnosed with vomiting all night and I have a positive EEG for migraine and negative for all abdominal tests etc. I was treated with Ergotamines, Imitrex, then a neurologist tried Doxepin (a tricycling antidepressant). It worked for 6 months. Then I moved and a psychiatrist finally diagnosed me with abdominal migraine. It is much like cyclic vomiting syndrome.

I started physical therapy two and a half weeks ago, but now I have developed a pain on the outside of the RIGHT buttock or hip.. the pain doesn't bother me when i am sitting or laying down, but walking is excruciating and it radiates to the back of the thigh and the outside of the upper calf... what can this be?

Avatar f tn I have done everything possible, over the counter drugs, exercising in pool, massage therapy, physical therapy, accupuncture, pain shots, perscription Motrin 800mg, Vicodin 7.5-750, Hydrocodone/APAP 5/500, with very little relief. I received the second series of Supartz almost 1 1/2 mos. ago thinking they would work like the first series but has not. I am still in extreme pain, I would like to try Synvisc-One. What are the side-effects if any?

I have heard that the Bamboo provides a deep tissue massage without the discomfort from the practitioner's hands,arms, or elbows. Treatment includes massage, rest, antidepressants, local nerve blocks by anesthesiologist, and injection of steroids directly into the region. Take care.
