Hi, I'm 18 years old, and I have two small lumps in the very left side of my neck. One is the size of a pea, located about two inches above my collarbone. The other is directly above that (maybe half an inch above?), and it's much smaller, maybe half the size of the first. They both are pretty firm but also kind of movable, and they don't hurt unless I press hard I'm just really really worried... Are there lymph nodes in that area?
I have this problem as well but it's above the right breast and in the right shoulder blade area. It feels like it goes right through from front to back. I first noticed it after I moved something extremely heavy, but it doesn't go away. I haven't had a mammogram in years and it's scary. And the stress in my life is almost crushing - I wake up hyperventilating, but it's been that way for years. This pain is relatively new.
3 days ago, I woke up with a swollen, tender lump about an inch long on the back of my neck on the right side of spine. The top of my spine on the back of my shoulders on both sides has been burning like a bad sunburn & sometimes the pain is very immobilizing.
And about a year ago, i noticed two lumps on the left side of my neck. One is just above where my neck meets my shoulder, and the other is a little higher and a little lower than my ear lobe and but back slightly. They are moveable werent tender untill i started playing with them. They are maybe the size of a small thumb nail. they havent gotten bigger. at the time i noticed them i had a flu. then i forgot about them. Until a few weeks ago.
One is located on my left side, about two inches from where my neck and shoulder meet. The other one, slightly larger, is located on the right side of my neck, maybe three inches under my ear. Other than that, my only other symptoms are nearly constant fatigue and on occasion, sudden headaches. But, that's it. I'm making another appointment to the doctors this week, and I'd just like to know if I'm stressing out for no reason.
I'm a 30 yr old female with anxiety disorder and constantly under stress. Recently, I noticed a small lump on my right side, towards the bottom of my neck (between the base and shoulder). It is painless, moveable, and changes in size throughout the day, but it is never bigger than approximately 1 cm. It feels spongy at times, but then it gets firmer. I've also been experiencing sinus/allergy/rhinitis issues due to the season. Other than that, I have no other symptoms.
Hump on the cervical spine is what it is. Cervical is above the shoulder blades in the neck area. I have had this & still have it. My hump is on the disks between C8 & T1 at the base of my neck. although the doc wouldnt ever give me a xray. It is caused by a few things. One is poor posture. Slumping your neck over is what many of us do hours on end & esp on the computer. Also maybe your pillow at night which is another of my problems.
Last night I noticed a lump on the back of my neck, on the right side, at the base of my skull. It's about the size of a penny and doesn't seem to be moving around or anything. It isn't real painful, only if I poke at it. I haven't had any visual issues, nor terrible headaches or nausea or anything. I had my family and a couple friends feel it and they all said it feels like a tension knot.
) sized lump seemingly where the neck meets the shoulder. It is under my skin completely; i can stretch the skin above it just like any other part of my body. It is hard, circular, and seems to have no feeling. I can move it around, much more forward and backward than right to left. I discovered this when I was at the physical therapist for a rotator cuff injury (both are on the right side). My therapist said it may be a muscle spasm but I'm skeptical.
I feel pain and pressure radiating from this lump in my neck, ear, shoulder and eye all on the right hand side. This pain is steadily getting worse and I have had a couple of occasions where I have fainted. I have in the last two days discovered another lump on the top of my head roughly where my crown is which is quite sore. The first lump doesn't hurt any more than normal when pressed, but on examination my doctor pressed something that made a pain shoot up my head and down my neck.
I have a lump on the left side of my neck, just above the shoulder. It's tender to the touch, and is about the size of half a golf ball. I assume it's just a cyst or something, but what's worrying me is that for the last year I've have had chronic, yet weak kidney, lung, testicle and abdominal pain. It doesn't really help that I'm overweight, but yeah, just letting you know. I've had an increase in small moles on my neck, including one where the lump is located.
so recently i discovered a lump on the left side of my neck. there is not a lump on the right side, i made sure. it's soft but firm in place. it is probably about the size of a quarter. just looking for answers to what it could be. hope you can help?
I have had swelling above my left collar bone for two months. It started with a stiff neck and then I noticed the swelling. It is not painful but just unconfortable as I feel alot of pressure when I bend over. The swelling is very noticeable but I can not feel any hard lumps or anything else at night I have severe sweats and I am very itchy all over my body I am very tired all the time but I think it is lack of sleep because of the sweats.
Hello. I have a lump on the left side of my neck, half to an inch away from the shoulder It i think started 2 years ago (maybe earlier and i didn't think anything about it) beginning as a small lump (pea shape), which over the span of a week turns bigger and bigger to the size of a walnut. going from non-sensitive to very sensitive to touch as it grows, also as it progresses to get bigger it then turns pink into a very noticeable red (many co-workers thought i had a hickey on my neck).
between neck and shoulder area. This is more on the shoulder toward the front slightly where shoulder meets neck. I see the same on the other side but on the right side it is more puffy, swollen. No pain. No lump. Just swollen area three inchs x two inchs? Is this normal, I may have never noticed or is this a swollen lymp node?
Yesterday my wife came and started massaging my shoulders and she felt a hard lump on the lower left side of my neck about 2 inches above my collarbone. It is something that would have been noticed by her before, not to mention the professional massage that I just had too. It is extremely painful!! Once she touched it, it suddenly bothers me a lot. I cannot strain myself or even talk in a loud voice because the pain from this little lump is so strong.
I noticed a 2 pea sized lump just last night. One lump (left side of my neck) just 3 inches above the end of my collar bone and the other lump just an inch above almost inline to my other lump, few inches down the back of my ear. Mine are both a bit painful, hard & still. I told my hubby about it cause I'm worried it might be something serious cause a couple of weeks ago I feel dizzy but dizziness just come & go, also I've been complaining about my backache since I was in grade school.
I was never free of pain and after the surgery the pain started going down my right arm into my hand with numbness and tingling in all the fingers. Approx. one year later I developed a lump on the top of my shoulder, which to me looked as if it was in the center the clavical. An MRI was done which showed osteophyte formation at the acromioclavicular joint with degeneration. My doctor referred me to another orthopedic surgeon.
I had a cortisone injection at c4 that provided no results in addition to cortisone injections in my shoulder blade bursa, shoulder, and elbow. I have had MRI work done of the shoulder and it showed no problems. Neck MRI showed some broad based disc protrusions at C4-5 producing minimal indentation of the thecal sac but no compression of the cord or encroachment upon the lateral recesses or the nerve roots. Does this mean the problem does not stem from here?
However, last 2-3 days I've been feeling stronger pain on the left side of my neck. right above shoulder. The pain is sometimes felt in the left breast area as well but it's not unbearable. Today I felt around that area and notices a lump on left side of my neck where the pain is. It's painful when I touch it. I will mentoin this to my OB at the next appointment which is next week. Until then, can you please give me a clue as to what this can be? I'm really freaking out!
The muscle im speaking of runs along top of shoulder up back of neck to skull. Its raised all along my shoulder and hard with balls up along back of neck. I cant even feel the muscle like I can with my right one. I can pinch it and not feel a thing. Only feeling I get goes up into my head. Push down on the top of both my shoulders and everything goes away, it feels sooooo good. Head feels light, normal and I can move my head around.
A week later I discovered two other of these lumps on the right back side of my head. One is about an inch inside my hairline just above the nape of my neck. The other is about a 1/2 inch above that one. Both are bony feeling and almost seems to run together with some softer tissue between, although it mostly feels like one huge knot. Once again I have not hit my head on anything in any recent timing. Since these lumps appeared I have had trouble with my vision.
2 years ago I saw a doctor about two abnormal lumps in my neck. Both lumps are on the left side, one is more on my shoulder. The doctor didn't think anything of it so neither did I, though I did notice the lumps change in size sometimes. I also developed a lump in my right arm, just above my elbow and thought nothing of it. 2 days ago I woke up with a large lump in my groin that is much bigger than the other ones I have so I went and saw the doctor yesterday.
(I have been diagnosed with a bakers cyst on the back of my left knee, but am beginning to wonder if the series off small lumps may instead be related to my other lumps.) My pain and lumps are primarily associated with my right side of my jaw ear and neck area. Often times the whole side of my neck feels tight and swollen on the inside and under my tongue as well. I feel like something is pressing on nerves causing tingling soreness and discomfort.
I feel there needs to have a few things straightened out with Madelungs, & adiposis dolorosa/Dercum's Disease. Dercum's Disease is otherwise known as Adiposis Dolorosa. It is mainly found in 50+ females that suffer with weight problems. However; it can also manifest in slim ppl as well as 16% men. And can be found at almost any age for both men and women. Though to date, the postmenopausal and the obese out number the rest. DD is found to be hereditary.
I have also discovered a lump in my neck right behind my ear and by my jaw line. It doesn't move and it isn't painful but I'm very concerned about it. I've been gaining weight and have been extremely fatigued. I just moved to Florida and don't have a doctor yet. Do you think I should have it checked at an urgent care or hospital? Does anyone know what it could possibly be?
2 days after that (went to the doctor on 7th dec) I noticed a small lump that can move slightly on the back of my neck left side...it is painless and doesnt bother me, however I can move it a little bit back and forth...atleast thats what it feels like anyways....I also have been since the weekend getting random numbness in my arms...from the tricep all the way to the fingers or wrist...I am going to go back to the doctor next week, I just worried about this right now though...
