I am going tomorrow for the results of my MRI of Brain and Spine, VEP (visual evoked potential) and EMG. Of course I have alot of anxiety because I have exhibited several MS symptoms. About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I am hypothyroid. My questions is would anyone be willing to tell me some of the symptoms they were experiencing prior to your MS diagnosis?

Probably the first thing I can think back to that something wasn't quite right was about 2 years ago when I started feeling like I couldn't always empty my bladder fully and also around that time I got to where I could not stand heat. No big deal, never really thought much of it, just Hmmmm.... this is strange.

Im beginning to think that these are the early symptoms of MS. Please help because I am beyond frightened. and the more I worry about these symptoms the worse they seem to get.

He acknowledges my very much sensory sx, plus leg fatigue (can barely climb stairs or small hill), and heat intolerance daily Specifically, occasional brief parasthesias, vertigo almost daily now, About 6 weeks of eye tremors in left lower limb between April and June, some pain in right back from ribs to waist. Anyway, my question is, pending my thyroid labs continue to remain stable, is it possible for MS sx early on to start out with just sensory sx such as these?

Can you have symptoms of pregnancy as early a week before you are due to start your period? If so what coukd the signs be???

i tested because i felt sick to my stomach and vomitted. so you can get some early symptoms, but also women convince themselves that they are pregnant because they want to be so badly and they really are not, so the best advice i can give you and try to stay relaxed and not think too much about it and test a few days early. I used the clearblue digital tests, whiched tested at a very low hcg level, and i got a 5 pack of them at walmart for 18 dollars which is very cheap.

For those who are women and are diagnosed with MS who are premenapausal as well as postmenapausal with hormonal therapy, do you find that prior to your menses that you're symptoms worsen or every other month or does nothing happen at all?

Eight years ago I began having what my doctors said were MS symptoms, but the MRI and spinal fluid were negative, so MS was ruled out. Is it possible to have MS in the early stages before there is evidence on tests? I’ve had slowly progressive symptoms over the years (weakness, unsteadiness, and stiffness), and have recently developed some memory and visual problems. I continue to see a neurologist, who simply treats symptoms. I’m wondering if it is worth pursuing another MRI. Thank you.

m 4 wks 5 days today and I keep getting told it is super early for any symptoms, but my lower abs have felt achy for almost a wk now...nothing awful but somewhere between crampy and just a dull pressure. I've also been exhausted and peeing up a storm (sorry if tmi). Is it all in my head?

An MRI doesn't rule out MS - people can have neg MRI, and still have MS - AND you can have lesions, and not have MS. So it can help in the dx process, but there is not a specific test to show MS. Many mimics have to be ruled out along the dx process. The dx process for MS can be long and frustrating.

Your neurologist may have thought that the disease is not very well pronounced . It is a fact that most patients with MS do not get all the symptoms and an MRI also doesn’t show specific findings in the early stage . Please go for a second opinion because your symptoms haven’t subsided . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !

Women don't usually have many obvious symptoms so early along, breast changes are common, tender swollen breasts, a missed or abnormal period. Some experience cravings or food aversions and nausea early on, something that I had never read about is stomach soreness, I experienced that before I missed my period. I felt as if I had been doing a lot of ab workouts. With certain movements or stretches I would feel that my insides were really sore probably because of the stretching of the uterus.

I had previously posted a question about how early in a pregnancy can you experience a miscarriage. Now I am wondering how early after conception can one start to feel symptoms of pregnancy? As early as within the first week?

I'm wondering what is the earliest that anyone here has or has known someone to feel pregnancy symptoms? I ovulated on 2-8-10, and I'm on Clomid. I'm feeling lower back pain, and irritation, and really sleepy. But it's only been 5 days?? I've heard of women feeling symptoms early, but is this just plain too early? Thanks!

well, if it's been 4 days you wouldn't be feeling any pregnancy symptoms yet. you are probably stressing yourself out, which can make you actually feel pregnant. you're going to have to wait at least a couple weeks to take a test. the earliest most women get a positive is at 3 weeks, but i've seen women who don't get positives until way later. the best thing to do is relax, if you miss your next period, take a test and go from there.

I am at 8 weeks and I really have NO symptoms...and have had a previous miscarriage...and a full term pregnancy. So, hang in there. Symptoms come and go..its normal......dont stress!

what is considered earl treatment, if they never diagnose after first bout of symptoms how can you get early treatment? is a 2nd flare considered early? thats when they say they diagnose after 2 episodes or flares, then mri, etc and diagnoses. is that to late to be considered early?

I was dx with MS last year and now this year with breast cancer. It's very early, DCIS, but the options seem daunting and excessive for such a small spot of cancer. Due to a number of contraindications, bilateral mastectomy with sentinel node biopsy is looking like the best option to reduce risk of recurrence. The issue with this is the length of surgery with reconstruction is five hours.

I recently started to feel aces in my breast other than the tingling in my nppls ... Waiting is what drives me crazy !!! I wish I could just get a symptom that would just tell me ..
