Well after I left him because that piss3d me off, I went to another PM doctor, same mediacations... So I started taking drug tests for new jobs and they kept coming up negative... so then I stopped telling the employers that I was on Norco so they wouldnt tell the people administering the tests that I was taking the medication thinking that if they knew I was on it, they wouldnt report it on the test... so needless to say 4 drug tests later, they are all coming up negative...
I am now left out on a limb and being treated like I am a liar and a drug addict. What would give me a false positive for morphine and a false negative for xanax? I feel like they messed up the test and it is someone else's. Been in panic attack mode since talking to him today and only have 4 xanax left.This test was done 2 weeks ago and he just called me today and said he will not give me any more xanax because I tested negative for them.
the dr. that said i failed his drug test threw papers at me and cursed me ,he started me on opanaer40mgs.in sept08, he did not start me out on a lower dose first.i am worried about withdrawls i have copd and hep.c in remission, should i have ever taken this drug?should he have given me something more than hydrocodone10/500 to come off of this med. i know that i am not susposed to have that much acedimine, what do u suggest i do about this? this hydro.
There are two answers to your initial question as to why morphine showed up in your husbands drug screening. He could have recently eaten a lot of poppy seeds just prior to the screening, sometimes that will cause a false positive test. More realistically he ingested a drug (narcotic) that showed up in the screen. THC (pot/weed) will not show as morphine.
Trigger point injections will also not cause a positive on a drug screening. There are several narcotics that will show up as morphine.
Listen to your doctor when he prescribe a drug. There are many drugs which can potentially cause liver damage and yet are safe and beneficial at the right dose. I have taken a bunch on the bad list and still take 2 currently. MY ALT is 12 / AST 17 / Total Bilirubin .8.
There are usually no fast and hard rules. After my liver transplant I was prescribed Tylenol but, not to exceed 1 gram per day. I took Tylenol during almost 4 years of treatment and I'm doing fine.
When I saw my Dr when she came back I ask her to give me a new test to prove was taking all meds, the morphine, Hydrocodone and the oxycodone. She called me in a week later and dismissed as a pain patient because she said my test was negative for anything. She said she didn't doubt I was taking my meds and she knew my pain was bad enough I would not be to live with my pain without my meds but that her hands were tied.
I know that a percentage of codeine is converted back into morphine during metabolization. I also know that codeine, being the pro drug, will generally clear your system faster and that morphine can hang around longer. Could this be why my UA drug screen, using GS/MS at the lab, showed morphine, but no codeine? What percentage of codeineis metabolized into morphine?

Yeah, what hab63380 said. Just because you pee in a cup everytime does not mean they're drug testing you, its just to check your sugar. They drug tested me my first lab and if its positive, they will do another in the future. If not, they dont do it again. You can always ask your doctor.
Drug tests vary, and many are very reliable...but, I'm going to give you some advice. No addict should be in a relationship (unless married) for a year after they enter recovery. Getting clean is hard enough without juggling a relationship as well. Random drug tests and wondering about her behavior is no way to live.

That might depend on what dosage you are on. The lower dosage shouldn't show up at all while the highest dose may show up with trace amounts. At any of the dosages the amount of steroid you are getting is so small and the medicine goes directly where it is needed that very little if any can make it into your blood streem.
I assume you are wanting to know for sports reasons, there would be absolutely no issue with Advair on an employment test. Asthma steroids are corticosteroids.
drs ought to be a bit more flexible, i would rather drink that then take morphine and vicodiene just for the side effects alone, but that is then and this is now..so..hard day..but no matter how much each day i hurt, I find that happy place and vow to smile thru the pain..keep positive..its the only way i know..every day is a good day above ground!
