For lunch, eat full meal consisting of protein, carbs and fat. I'd suggest you learn some easy recipe and make your own meals from raw ingredients. You should use complete protein source(fish, meat, eggs). Add more cooking oil in the cooking process to get more calories. For dinner, it depends how hungry you are.

You might want to supplement vitamin B12 and calcium if you don't eat any animal products. All of that said, 10 pounds is not much to lose; you might be able to do that simply by cutting portion sizes and ramping up your exercise a bit.

However, if nursing U don't want to diet. Don't take any diet pills. Plus when nursing you really do feel hungry. The best thing to do is eat healthy. Protein, veggies & fruit. Workout, but don't over do it. If U workout too much/hard it will effect Ur milk supply as well as dieting or eating less.
Avatar f tn You can also use flavored Greek yogurts, but watch the calorie count as some have a lot more sugar than the plain yogurt, and by the time you add milk and the protein powder you might have more calories than you bargained for. I have more recipes, if you're interested, but they aren't much different from these. Your imagination and tastebuds are the only limits to what you can put into a smoothie.
Avatar f tn I have not tried this personally but I had a friend with the same issue and their doctor told them to have about 2 or 3 protein shakes in between meals to help them with weight gain and it worked. They also eat more lean protein meats too, because their body burned carbs so quickly.

Add dry milk to oatmeal, mashed potatoes, gravies, creamed vegetables, and creamed soups (add additional meats to soups). Add cheese sauces to vegetables, potatoes and meat as desired. This will give you additional calories and protein for weight gain.
