metrogel use in pregnancy

s finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?

Quite annoying. I am hoping that continued use with this metrogel is going to work significantly over a months use. I read it takes one-two months for the metrogel to really work when it comes to the periocular dermatitis under the eye. Not sure if thats true.

I'll be 20 weeks Monday and my doctor also prescribed me Metronidazole Gel. I'm gonna take the second round tonight. I'd rather take it than not and experience the complications of having bv in the second trimester. I googled it first and it said bv untreated can cause premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, and uterus infection. Just don't insert it all the way, as I do. My doctor said only about an inch.

I have seen improvement but am still not 100 percent clear, about 98 percent clear I would say. How long do I need to continue to use the metrogel to keep the dermatitis away for good? 2 months? Not sure how long I should use it. Also, I was on doxycycline however it upsets my stomach (with or without food) so I have to call my doctor on monday to try a different antibiotic. Anything you reccomend as far as an antibiotic?

Anyone use it? Did it get rid of the BV and was the baby okay? Im a bit worried about side effects since it does cross thr placenta.

I'm 9 weeks now with severe pregnancy acne on my cheeks n chin. My dermatologist put on Finacea 15% gel and Metrogel 1% both of.which are more than $200 each a tube. Were you guys prescribed anything else that's pregnancy safe by your derm?

The last time I used was probably in May. I plan to use it in October again once. Can I do that?

Its a prescription, so if they won't just call it in, which they usually don't because even though you no they want to make sure. You will probably have to be seen.

When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. m hoping I can take the valtrex for a couple days, get less sore then try the metrogel( for bv)... Idk.. 2 weeks a ago found out I was pregnant. Is the pregnancy the reasoning had an outbreak? You have to remove the gel that's in your vagina before inserting a new dose. Just use water while you shower. The gel is antibacterial so you are not contaminating your Vagina in any way.

Can I use metrodizole gel for bv and use monistat creme for yeast infection at the same time.? One during day and 1 at night? Or both at night? I know I have both I just don't know if I can insert both into vagina at same time or once in morning and other at night?

Hi. I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant I've had some type of bacterial infection for a couple weeks now. The Dr didn't say what kind exactly but probably bacterial vaginosis or something of the sort. My question is I tried metrogel twice as he said and it has not gone away. They aren't open until Monday should I go to the emergency room or wait until they can see me when I call Monday afternoon?

My triggers are hot temperature and not sure what else. I am allergic to Metrogel. I have Metrocream. I tested it on my arm and then face on the chin and didn't blow up like I did with Metrogel. But I also don't like the idea of having to use a low dose antibiotic and the side effects are not so good at least in the package insert. Is there anything else I can do? I don't really put much cream on my face except when I use the Finacea. I don't like the feeling of goo on my face.

t use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?
