I had the same infection twice during the beginning of my pregnancy its normal and I used metrogel the two times for 5 nights vaginally .
I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.
s finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
It would go away and come back, not sure what it was. I did so much research online and I believe I have steriod induced periocular dermatitis. I went to my doctor and he was totally uninformed about it.
My doctor perscribed me Metrogel 0.75. I have been using it since Jan 18th 2010 (last month). For the most part I have been clear, however I still see some LIGHT red areas like they are fading away. Have I not used it long enough?
Hi guys so I just went to the restroom and had a lot of discharge and inside the discharge there was very little blood but it looked like it was kinda veiny. Like brownish reddish veins. It wasn't all over. I don't have any cramping or anything like that but I'm a little conserned. I took metrogel for the first time last night bcuz I have a bacteria. Idk if it's just cleaning it out or wat it could be.
I do use Metrogel for Roseacea and when out of town for a wedding and had to share a bathroom with 9 people, rushed and forgot and put Metrogel on the area under my nose (never done that before) and might have gotten some on my lip in that area. That's been 2 weeks, tho. I was in the sun 3 of those days .....
I tried a search and came up with basal cell carcinoma and saw several places that said the lip is a VERY DANGEROUS spot to have BCC. That terrified me.
I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?

I was diagnosed with a bladder infection and a vaginal infection. I assume its bacterial vaginosis because my doctor prescribed Bactrim and Metrogel. But because I have Raynaud's Syndrome, I can't use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?
So, this is the problem with antibiotics. They treat one thing and then bam, you get a yeast infection and have to treat that. Especially during pregnancy! My doctor prescribes duflucan which works well for me and is so easy to take for yeast. I'd get that script from your doctor if you have insurance that covers it. Know that a lot of this gets much better as soon as you have the baby. Congrats on the pregnancy by the way!
I recently found out over the weekend that I have genital herpes and BV, smh the medication for bc is suppose to be inserted vaginally but I'm too sore to insert it. I'm hoping I can take the valtrex for a couple days, get less sore then try the metrogel( for bv)... Idk.. 2 weeks a ago found out I was pregnant. Is the pregnancy the reasoning had an outbreak? I've been with my boyfriend for 7months.
Hi. I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant I've had some type of bacterial infection for a couple weeks now. The Dr didn't say what kind exactly but probably bacterial vaginosis or something of the sort. My question is I tried metrogel twice as he said and it has not gone away. They aren't open until Monday should I go to the emergency room or wait until they can see me when I call Monday afternoon?
s own and is gone confirmed 2 times by doctor.I was given metrogel I used 1 dose and had difficulty breathing headache and tremors.so the doc said stop med.Then went to see a gyno specialist and she said same bv and she removed a polyp from cervix it was benign she also told me I tested positive for urea plasma all my other std test are negative.HIv neg.no chlamydia,gonorrhea, trichomonosis all negative.she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.

You can use metrogel during daytime and antifungal pe4ssaries during night.
they told me my cervix was very swollen and VERY red when I was 12 1/2 weeks and spotting....and it turned out to just be a normal (albeit bad) infection. All my STD and HPV tests came back clear, so it was just an outgrowth of bacteria... if you have no reason to suspect an STD or HPV (and I'm sure they're running tests, right?) then I wouldn't worry :). They treated mine and it went away after about a week...
Well I have a history of Bacterial Vaginosis and had an occurrence during this pregnancy. I was treated with the metrogel and it cleared of course but everyone knows it can always return. After treatment weeks later I caught an bladder infection. Which also is treated.
Now I am discharging heavily. No color or thickness (Like my bv where it was yellow and thick and snotty like) .. this is thin white which is normal the thing is there is a slight odor.
I abstained from having sex for just over a week to allow the infection to clear up, when I did have sex I experienced the burning and tears so I went to my Dr and was told I had alot of yeast and she gave me Terconazole cream. A few days later when my results were in, my Dr told me along with yeast I had gardnerella bacteria (Bacterial Vaginosis) so after 3 days of Terconazole I was switched to metrogel for 5 nights.
I also have three spots on my cheeks near my nose that have thickening skin and contu=inuously flake off and turn red and repeat continuously. Nothing seems to help..I went to a doctor and they said I have rosacea but I really don't think that is what it is, I ve been put on doryx and metrogel to helkp and it just seems to be getting worse. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong with me? I have been sooo dperessed and never want to leave the ouse becuase of this.
The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely.
Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before)

I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment.
I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September.

Hi I'm very depressed and I don't know what to do any more because, I have a foul vaginal odor that is affecting my life in a major way.
No temporary cure the best is the latest Clindesse 2% vaginal cream, single dose x 1 and that's it. Other options metrogel x 5 days, or po flagyl.
