metrogel how to use

s finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?

I have seen improvement but am still not 100 percent clear, about 98 percent clear I would say. How long do I need to continue to use the metrogel to keep the dermatitis away for good? 2 months? Not sure how long I should use it. Also, I was on doxycycline however it upsets my stomach (with or without food) so I have to call my doctor on monday to try a different antibiotic. Anything you reccomend as far as an antibiotic?

Now that my eye is clear, how long do I continue to use metrogel to keep the periocular dermatitis away? 30 days, 60 days? I really want to avoid it coming back.

I thought you could only take metrogel instead of flagyl while pregnant. I think i read that.

Im 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my 3rd baby, this is the first time ive been diagnosed with BV, the hospital prescribed me flagyl for the infection, I asked the pharmacies if it was safe the pharmacists told me theres no guarantee that its not harmfull since it passes thru the placenta, when i seen my widwive she told me it wasnt recommend in the 1st trimester, but didnt instuct me to stop taking it but after reading about it i decided to stop it after 3 days of use, has and mother on here

The last time I used was probably in May. I plan to use it in October again once. Can I do that?

It has now been 13 days on the Doxycycline (of a 30 day cycle total ) and 4 days applying the Metronidazole 0.75% gel only at night, once a day. Thankfully, there has been much improvement since then. So far, no more flareups, hardly any itching only when my skin gets too dry, and during the day when I don't use the Metrogel, my skin is not as red anymore (more pink or normal in color) or bumpy.

Anyone use it? Did it get rid of the BV and was the baby okay? Im a bit worried about side effects since it does cross thr placenta.

she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.tried doxy and had to go to the e.r. had sever adverse side affects I thought I was going to die.Then the specialist said they where not going to treat me.That I should be fine.WHAT!!!I went to a different gyno obgyn and he isn't treating me for urea pkasma either told me to take pro biotics.

To respond to your question. Yes I do have the same partner and we only use condoms from time to time,but not all the time. I also forgot to mention I have used the gel before too, and the odor comes back even faster then when I use the tablets. I really don't know what to do.

how long should it take for symptoms to go away. I shower before and wash with soap but should I use something stronger like hydrogen peroxide???

t yet known as to whether or not it was caused by steroid use or allergy. I am using Metrogel and he wanted me to use Oracea pills as well but I may be allergy to Tetracycline so I'm just using the Metrogel 1% topical. It is too soon to know if it is working but it seems to be. Does Rosacea cause itching usually? Is the peri-oral dermatitis a broad term that can include rosacea? Just started my period but have 2 more days of metronidazole. I only have tampons and I can't wear pads during certain activities in my next 2 days. I know I'm not supposed to use tampons with this medication but what happens if I do?

When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times. The skin there looks slightly different but I'm 62 and have had age spots burned off in my hairline, etc. I am female, never smoked, don't drink and have never had a cold sore or tested positive for HPV. I do not sunbathe but grew up in the south.

Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). In my opinion, it would be safer to take a category b drug than to continue to have a bacterial infection. Bacterial infections can cause preterm labor as well as other symptoms. Tylenol and many other drugs are class b drugs and they are deemed safe. I would do what your doctor says asap. I don't have personal experience with this buy just my thoughts on the matter. This does sound like an allergic reaction to me. What product do you use to wash your face ? Do you use a product called Noxema by any chance ? I used Noxema only once a long time ago. I will never forget how greasy my face felt after using it. I ended up throwing the whole jar away. I think I was a teenager or in my early twenties. Can't remember how old I was. Secondly, do you use a skin toner ? If do, what do you use ? Do you use a skin moisturizer ? If so, what do you use ?

Can you see a doctor? You should get checked for an infection, especially if nothing you can purchase over the counter is working.
