Then I went to a phycologist and talked to her about my eating dissorder and then told her about the tramadol and how it helpped me to curb my hunger. She said that she couldnt help me and that I need to contact a rehab center but it was so hard for me to get up enough nerve just to tell her. No one can help me. Im not the typical addict you know. Im well educated Im married with a small child and we are living in upper class america the big house and everything.
Btw I took 5 tramadol and 2 methadone today, and it didn't send me into withdrawal. That whole line is a bunch a bull she©#.
My question is, has anyone heard of lyrica causing withdrawal symptoms when taken w/methadone? I was given Tramadol(Ultram) w/ methadone and thought I was going to die with the interaction it caused!!!
I'm considering switching from hydrocodone to tramadol for pain management. I looked up the intereactions between the two and found that seizures can occur for some reason. According to drugs.com/interactions its a "major-interaction"... I don't plan on taking them together but today I took 5mg methadone to transition from the wd of hydrocodone. i don't plan on taking the methadone much either, due to its horrible life of dependency and yada yada...
There is a good tramadol mixed with acetaminophen called tramadol acet. It's 37.5mg tramadol and 325mg acetaminophen. Since the tramadol dose is relatively low in tramadol acet I would use this one since she's already on Pristiq.
About 4 months ago, I became involved in a fairly intense project and was experiencing more discomfort. Without really thinking much about it, I started using tramadol every day and then increased this to 2-3 times each day. The dosage was 100mg, so I was taking 100-300mg daily (or 2-6, 50mg pills) for 3 months. After I finished the project in mid-may, I decided that I needed to stop using a drug to get through the day, so I tried to just stop taking it. WOW!
Methadone and oxy isn't a deadly mix in as far as interactions go. Basically, it sounds as if the person overdosed. Methadone in itself is very dangerous for anyone who is not used to it or opioids in general. It is a very strong opioid. I know of a couple people who take methadone for pain and the oxy on top of it as a breakthrough med. Even though it is like someone peeing in the wind for them to be taking oxy on top of methadone, they do anyway.
I have been clean from Vicodin 5/500mg and Tramadol 50mg for about a week now, and I'm in a long term tapering of Xanax.I have not experienced any discomfort from the Xanax withdrawal due to the slow tapering process but since two days ago and today is the worst, I have been feling severe migraines and severe pain in the muscles of my back and neck, specially arund my shoulder blades, where some " knots" are forming and are very painful to the touch.
My doc was an older gentlemen and the first question I asked him was if he knew about Tramadol and he said YES. He was clearly upset with me when I started to tell him my story so I knew I could trust him, he didn't sugar coat his reaction or feelings towards me being an addict, let alone a pregnant addict. Anyway, he told me that I CAN quit CT on Monday and he isn't concerned at all about the baby.
Over the years of recovery and reading about others, seeing others recover the main thing I have learned is that everyone's life is better without being a slave to Tramadol. You might be stuck and scared right now, but you can make the decision to get yourself off the hamster wheel of Tramadol dependency and even addiction. You don't have to live that way. There's lots of people here to help.
Understanding is essential! You can do this. And yes. Eventually you will heal!

Have seen several people have seizures when TAKING tramadol. AND, every tramadol related seizure I saw did not seem related to how high a dose the person was taking; RATHER was in instances where someone markedly INCREASED their dose. I think the confusion is in that seizures are common when withdrawing from sedatives (alcohol, barbiturates, benzodiazapines etc). Rare in opiate withdrawal.

It works well, however last week I got hurt, just saw my regular Doctor this morning and he prescribed 50 mg tramadol, this is the same Doctor that prescribed the Methadone. I have done my homework on Methadone and I believe that from what I've read these two meds cause an interaction. But wouldn't my Pharmacist have said something?
I was driving home from work the other day and my only brother calls me and we are talking and he recently got put out of work due to a back and neck pain. He has been to a couple drs. and none have offered him pain meds. And at my own pestering, I made him fully aware of how he can be sucked into addiction. He doesn't feel as though it can happen to him he said. Anyway, he has been getting pain meds off friends. Perks and Norcos and stuff like that.
